I don't put a top coat. I only put one coat on...

I don't put a top coat. I only put one coat on the book, apply the paper and smooth down, careful not to get it on the paper side showing. I don't care for the brush stroke look of the Modge Podge...

Regarding Mod Podge, which one do you get? Matte(yellow label) or Matte for Paper (blue label)? We used Mod Podge matte...
