I just found a useful video by scrapmadesimple and she used the magnetic platform in the big shot plus - yeah! Thought I'd share this here in case someone else is wondering about this also.

If the cards are the only thing you score: I agree - you really don't need an extra scoring board. If my current paper trimmer had a groove like that I would not have bought the board...
