Can you believe this is our 7th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2014 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2015! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages, goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2015! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of use who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month.
*In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us.
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done all the while enjoying sharing with Virtual Friends.
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2015 Scrapbook Challenge! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!
We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "sbc15oct"

Hello Everyone!
My day kinda got away from me:rolleyes: and I haven't quite finished getting my layout done, so I'm posting the requirements only for Stash Busters:
I'm not sure if I'll get the chance to finish the layout tonight, but I'll post it as soon as I can, in the meantime, have fun rummaging through your stash for this weeks requirements.

I've got 4 pages done YTD and I'm actually going to set a goal this month of 4. And since I see a VSBN is coming up, I might just get more done. Our huge government project we've been working on since last August is almost finished (at least my paperwork part of it is) so I am finally getting some down times where I don't have to bring so much work home to do. I'm looking forward to scrapping DGS's activities over the past year or so.
Yesterday we woke up to the news that an EF1 tornado touched down during the night less than 5 miles from us..destroyed the roof of a business we buy our plastic products from which is right beside a main highway. This is so unusual in this area and since this one must have come out of the blue, I'm so grateful to God for keeping us safe during the night. I've got a NOAA weather alert radio and it never went off even though it was raining extremely hard at times.
Off to bed to get rest before another busy day tomorrow...(at least it's not raining tonight...just waiting for the hurricane to hit over the weekend now ;))

I did twelve pages last month! Wow! I actually got more than four done
I'd like to send out a big shout to Sharon (Smadson), Annie's Pantry (Anavon), Princessp1971 (Patti) with the exception of last week they participated in 3 of the Stash Buster Challenges! Thank you!
I think I'll set my goal this month at 6...looks like I might not make my year end, but there's still some time left! Keeping my fingers crossed I get a few more than that done!

I got NOTHING done in September. :( But I need to start calendars for Christmas soon so that will help....but it would be really nice to get some of our pages done too. We shall see! However, to stay positive, I'm going to set a goal of 20 again and shoot for it!

2024 Scrapping Goals: March 8/12; Feb: 6/15; 2024: 35/125
I am coming up for some air ;-). I've been so busy getting my real estate license and starting my business and figuring it all out that craftiness has been shoved to the background. I did create a schedule for myself and think that I should be able to scrap a few times a month on a regular basis starting in November. I even think I will set a goal of 2 pages for October because I will be on the road with DD2 doing college tours from the 15th through the 19th and will try to recall how to do a digi page, lol!
I hope you are all doing FANTASTIC! I would love to keep in touch but don't get here often but you can email me anytime at [email protected]. I am hoping to change that and get here at least once a week starting in November.
WOW a whole week has passed in October and not only have I not posted what I will do for the month, I have not even done any scrapping yet!!!
I will set my goal at 15 which might be a stretch for October. I do need to post a few of my favorite September pages. For the year I have 229 pages done.
I got a page done, using a color challenge and a stashbuster challenge from September. I started a double layout yesterday but I haven't had a chance to finish it...! But that's already 2.5x what I got done last month, haha!
Have to chuckle a bit...while everyone else is doing fall themes...I always seem to be doing something just a little off! Oh well...viva la difference! :p
I love the Scraplift challenge! Have to see if I can't find some fall pictures to play! Having a hard time playing catch up! It seems like were are always going somewhere or my days just don't go as planned! No empty nest syndrome here! LOL!
Hoping I'll be around for the VSBN! I would love to get some more pages done!

12x12 prints this weekend at Persnickety - only $1.50
If any digiscrappers like Persnickety Prints for their printing, they're having a 12x12 sale for $1.50/page. That is the best deal they ever offer, and is as cheap as you'll find--especially for a company with their caliber of quality!!

Thank you Wendy! Good to know! Now that SU! dropped MDS I need a new printer!

I just got their email on the sale. I finally used up the last bundle I had purchased a few years ago so I might just buy another bundle while they are on sale. I just got in 93 pages and they are so awesome looking and so quick in getting them back. Very nice job.
I only finished two layouts in September since I was really busy with other life events, but I am determined to complete the 12 VSBN challenges this month (yes, that was a spoiler for VSBN ;)), plus I need to create a layout for tomorrow's sketch challenge, so put me down for 13 in October.

Me, too. I'm working on Mother's and Father's Day because that's next up in my queue. I'll probably get around to scrapping fall sometime next spring - LOL!

A 17 YO Defines Scrapbooking
Hey y'all! I thought y'all might get a big hee hee from this post I read on the Studio Calico message board.
(begin cut & paste)
A 17 YO's Defines Scrapbooking:
Today I was playing Taboo with my juniors and seniors, and one of them pulled the card "Scrapbooking." Her job was to get her group to guess the word "Scrapbooking" as she attempted to describe it.
Once she pulled the card, she immediately blurted, "WHAT OLD PEOPLE DO! It's what old people do with stuff that happened to them."
That took me by surprise, but what was even more surprising was that her group didn't even hesitate. They all started yelling at once, "SCRAPBOOKING!" I turned very red, mostly because I was laughing so hard.
I just had to share this with my "old" peeps at SC.
(end of cut & paste)

If anyone needs inspiration this weekend, I've just posted the first Sketch Challenge for October. Come and play!
Nice one. I've even got your last month's sketch laid out to work on once I get some pictures printed since I was going to try to do a stashbusters challenge with it. Haven't gotten there yet but I'm trying
Thank you Wendy! Good to know! Now that SU! dropped MDS I need a new printer!
I forgot to mention, the sale is Oct. 9, 10 and 11. You can order prints during that time, or buy a 50 pack of 12x12 print credits for $75 to use anytime.
I've been MIA but should be able to get back to scrapping now that camping season is over. Yesterday we had a Shoebox Event which I had planned with 4 other girls. We had a great time. with 15 other ladies. Lots of cards, ATCs & Card Candy! But the best part of September was meeting Tim Holtz! My friend, who has a craft shop, & I got to go to Grand Rapid, MI & spend a day taking classes taught by Tim...it was awesome & a chance of a life time!!
I didn't get any layouts done in Sept & my YTD is 40. I'll set a goal of 4 for October. Going to try & keep up with the VSBN too!
