Can you believe this is our 8th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2015 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2016! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages, goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2015! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of use who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month.
*In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us.
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done all the while enjoying sharing with Virtual Friends.
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2015 Scrapbook Challenge! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!
We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "sbc16mar"

Now that my stress filled Feburary is finally behind me... I am feeling a little of the Irish Luck as we move into what I hope is going to be a marvelous March!
Did not reach my February goals and that okay, I made it through the month and for me right now that a good thing.
So my goals for March are...
Scrapbook pages - 5
Cards - 5
Altered projects - 5
Art Journaling - 5
My scrapbook YTD is 15
So excited for another VSBN... That was the only layouts I got completed durning February.
I don't know what is wrong with me but I have no MOJO at all. I only completed 2 pages last month, both for VSBN and I haven't even posted them yet. Didn't meet my goal but I am going to stick with it. So I'm trying for 10 this month.
YTD: 13

Scrapbook goal: April 7/10 MAY /5 YTD 32
Thanks to the VSBN, the Scraplift Challenge and the Stash Buster Challenge I finished 13 pages. That puts my YTD at 35 pages! Whoop whoop! I also made 18 cards this past month (I'm trying to get them uploaded) and my YTD total to 39 cards!
With another VSBN this month I'm going to set my page goal at 12. Spring Break is coming up and both girls will be home so I hope to get some pages done this week and play catch up after they've gone back to school.

I'm setting a goal of 12 again, for March.
I have two PL albums waiting for me to finish them, and a few ideas using current products with old photos. I just have to get them done!
February was a whirlwind of busy-ness and exhaustion but I did get 7 completed pages so that's fine by me!
And I am looking forward to the VSBN, even tho I haven't managed to play much in the last two.....!

2024 Scrapping Goals: March 8/12; Feb: 6/15; 2024: 35/125
Ii decided to try to do a "LOAD" for February (Layout A Day). It was close to every day plus I went scrapping with my BFF so I got 75 pages done in Feb! Woohoo!
I think for March my goal is going to be 30 although I'm going to a weekend scrapping retreat again

I scrapped a lot in February and then got off track the last week of the month when I decided I HAD to get my patterned paper organized I'm at 26 pages done so far, so my goal for March will be 14. Hope to be starting a couple more baby books this month too...
Yesterday I thought I might scrapbook all day....well my stuff was all over my table all day but this is all I completed, at 5pm! hahaha! But it did cover three different challenges from 2016! Dandelion Wishes

2024 Scrapping Goals: March 8/12; Feb: 6/15; 2024: 35/125
Missed my goal for February. I'm not likely to make any pages for March. I have sewing to do, making diapers for Tiny Tot's brother who is due to make his appearance April 12th, possibly earlier. However, it's likely I will squeeze out some time to scrap because I will need a break from sewing, most likely. So, as I prepare for my trip to Virginia (will likely be there nearly a month because the Navy is relocating them, so by the end of April their apartment is being packed up and I am bringing my girls and Baby J home with me while Daddy goes to school before his new assignment.)
I missed my February goal - 7 of 10.
March goal = 3
YTD = 28

How nice that you will get that special time with the tiny tots. I did this myself when my DD was 1-2 (her daddy is also military and he went to school between assignments). It was such a wonderful experience for her to be able to live with her grandparents. My parents cherished that time as well because they knew that we would not always be as close (proximity) as they would like.

Hi everyone. I've been MIA due to some family issues in January and then getting sick in February. I realized I didn't post a double-page sketch for February, and another one is supposed to be posted today. I will try to get something done and posted either today or tomorrow. Hopefully it will motivate me to scrapbook again . . .
I need to tidy my craft table before I can work on a new layout. It is a mess!! Am I the only one who likes to take things out, but not put them away?! ha!

Absolutely, I am like that until there is no space to scrap! Then I have to take a time out. And also, if it is a certain theme, I go thru everything and get everything out even remotely like I might want. Then that is all out even if I didn't even use it! I am terrible!
Okay girls, this scrapbooking slump is scaring me! I haven't scrapbooked in 8 weeks. :( I don't think that's ever happened to me since I started scrapbooking. I haven't been interested in checking out scrapbooking sites for inspiration, either. I was going to post a new sketch this weekend and I couldn't even force myself to sit down and create one. Right now, I'm going to try to work on some pictures that are on my desk, but I hate this lack of motivation for something that usually excites me. Anyone ever had this long-term problem?

Yes!!! It comes and goes in spurts for me. As you can tell from my absence from here (on/off). I think I took about a year or two break (with occasional scrapbooking here and there) so I know exactly how you feel. It will come back, hopefully long before mine did. It was your sketches that helped me get my mojo back. I actually think I'm going to reach my goal this year!!!
*sending you good mojo vibes*

Cheryl, I'm feeling for you, I really dislike those moments when I can only sit and stare at the pages or move photos around on a page. It seems for me that it's always something "different" that gets my creativity going again.
I will say, I just cannot scrap when I'm "stressed" I wish I could because then it would help my mind work through the process but it seems to block up my creative processes. During those moments, I just have to give it time
I too am wishing for you "positive vibes for scrappin' soon" !!

Sharon I now what you mean I have been like that for a couple months now. Just can not get myself motivated to scrap. :(

Here's some thought for lack of motivation to scrap. If the suggestion Lela gave about just moving away and doing something different didn't work and you gave it fair time to do so, try identifying the "why".
TIME: It could be time related such as you are feeling other pressure on your time available and you may need to do some time management to either eliminate what isn't important or make time to fit in what is important.
SUBJECT: Sometimes when all the fun and exciting events have been completed you are left with lack of enthusiasm. The opposite can be true where there are too many photos or events to scrap and you are feeling overwhelmed. If it is the first, how about doing something in your "everyday" routine, more like a Book about Me page to get you working again. If overwhelmed with subjects, start by breaking the batches into smaller piles/topics.
EMOTION: We all can get into a mental slump where the things we once enjoyed have become tiresome or unimportant. When "life" deals us an emotional hand, scrapbooking may just be the escape we need to stop and enjoy the creative process using photos that make us happy or calm, even if they have been done already. Use this creation process as a mental vacation from whatever is making you emotional. The distraction from everyday life may help you put "real life" in perspective again.
SCALE:If you are use to 12 x 12's and that is making you feel overwhelmed to start/finish a layout, plan a smaller project. It can be mini book for a loved one or something for your own personal keepsake. Just make it small enough in size and volume that it won't seem overwhelming or like a big chore.
That's all I got!

I've been in a slump for almost 2 years now. All the stresses of running a company and dealing with a preteen just wears me out! By evening, I have no energy or umph to find files and digiscrap. I know I've started several pages but end up going to bed and forgetting to get back to them to finish them up!
We've been working every day trying to get the renovations done on the new property we bought and tomorrow we are starting to move machinery into the building. Hopefully by the end of the month we'll be moved in and then changing addresses to all customers and vendors will begin...the list never seems to end!
Thanks for the feedback, ladies! You are the best. My good news is that I have some pictures and paper picked out and arranged on my desk, so I'm committing I will get them adhered and think up a title today. Baby steps! Hopefully VSBN will help as well. Then I'm going to a scrapbook retreat next weekend, so maybe I can put together page kits next week so I have something concrete to work on. Thanks again, ladies.
Hello!
I've been reading through the posts and yep...it happened to me too! There was about a year when I didn't scrap a page! But, I slowly got back in to it, then I found you guys! Not feeling well and having a full plate at home can put everyone's mojo on vacation.
Joyce Ann has some wonderful thoughts on it. It'll come back, take it one day at a time.
I've put the requirements up for Stash Buster, my page isn't done ;) yet so hopefully, I'll have it up tomorrow morning. Have fun!
