Had a GREAT Time at a Crop in Indianapolis this weekend! Lots of pages, laughs and calories ...whew! Not good on the food side, WAY TOO Much yummy goodies. Guess I'll have to workout more this week to get back on track but all worth it.
Hope all of you will play along with VSBN this week! :o

I've gotten one VSBN page done so far and am loving all the challenges!! Great ideas I can't wait to play with more!!
Also, Sharon (smadson) I added some info for you on my page.
A one day (7 hour) crop is too short for me to take all my "stuff" to make layouts so I take projects that I don't like doing at home like putting my finished pages in albums. That is what I did last Friday. I also find out how many albums I need to purchase and what style/design on the cover I want, also if I have enough layouts to warrant it's own album!! I hate scrapping chronologically and that in itself necessitates waiting (sometimes redoing) on albums. Not only did I find I had enough aquarium pictures to fill it's own album but the pictures left to scrap were already on my desk waiting!
This is the finished layout I worked on for the speed page. Amazing how fast it can go when a machine does the cut work and you don't have to "hunt" for papers, just get them from a pad design and solid for background and black for mats!! All the cuts were done using papers from single pad of paper.
I just got an email from Persnickety Prints on a special they have running until Oct 31 for those of you looking for calendars for presents.

Let me see what VSBN challenge I can work on today!! Wait, I have to finish hemming some curtain for a friend first!!!!! I can look and figure out what I'll do next.
My days are going by faster than the speed of light and I haven't found any time to work on my challenge pages...maybe this weekend! Anyhoo...hope you can find some time to create a layout for the challenge (combining it with the VSBN might be fun ;)) Happy crafting!

Is anyone else's notifications from SCS coming through really slowly? Recently, it seems like I get my e-mail notification about two days after someone's posted in a thread I started or a layout I posted.

Probably because of the processing of all the HYCCT cards, a busy time for SCS.
Here are two pages for VSBN. My first two pages for 2015 chronological Album. I can keep up on my trip albums, but not anything else! LOL
I wish I had more time to scrap during the week, LOL! By the time I get home, dinner and sit for a few minutes, it's late and getting pages started is tough ... although it's 10, I'm just getting VSBN page started but hopefully this weekend I'll finish
Headed to the Pumpkin Patch tomorrow for some carving fun tomorrow night. I always look forward to this time of year
Hope everyone is having a good week

I saw a really cool idea on FB for a pumpkin carving. A white pumpkin carved like a skeleton face sitting inside an orange pumpkin carved but then cut apart to show the "skeleton". I really thought DGS would jump at the chance to do this but he didn't seem too enthused...oh well...guess I'm not too good predicting what a 12 yo will want to do. The guys are going to a baseball double header in the morning and I plan on scrapping VSBN challenges with just Rufus for a companion.

Terry, my boys are 21, 23 & 24 and I still can't guess what will "strike" them as good and what won't, LOL! Have fun scrappin' w/ Rufus.

What's everyone up to this weekend?
LOTS of fun at the Farm Market/Pumpkin Patch this evening. We had fun selecting pumpkins and after dinner we had a carving party. Woohoo!
So blessed my youngest DS now lives closer and we can enjoy moments together on Friday nights,
It's Sweetest Day Saturday and since I was gone on my DH Bday Monday, I'm going to make him a cake and nice dinner tomorrow.

Gonna try and get a couple of the VSBN challenges done today. Off tomorrow to do a river float - color tour, then climb an old spot (our first date)! Wish me luck, the high is suppose to be 50 degrees! Brrrrr!!! Should be fun though! Happy Scrappin' Everyone!

I seem to spend most of the week-end piddling around with too many projects on my desk! Quilting a Christmas table cover that I have had in the closet for 10 years, making new fall wreaths for the door, re-doing the wreath I made my mom several years ago, hemming curtains for a neighbor, making lefse, and finishing up that VSBN layout and making fall cuts with my Cricut using the free cart that is on CCR/DS this week.....

How was your River Float Ann? I heard it snowed in the U.P. this morning?
I went out for a Color walk in the Reserve this morning and I saw some flakes, GASP! I'm so not ready for the cold but it does bring out the reds, golds and oranges in the leaves so the colors should be very lovely here in Ohio this week.....I'm headed to NY (Syracuse) next week for a client meeting and I'm hoping we're going to see some lovely color on our way out Sunday

Hello! I'm back from an overnight trip downstate to ride back with my DD (who is home for the weekend)! Finished up the layout for this week's challenge...here it is!
Happy Monday everyone. Just popping in to tell you how lame I am! I totally procrastinated on doing the sketch for last week, and then this weekend was super-busy, so it didn't get done. Working on it now, so it should be posted today.
I got another page done today for VSBN, and for my inlaws Christmas gift calendar! I hoped to get more done today before linking up but it's 10pm at my house and I just don't think it's gonna happen...hahaha....So here you go!
I started this page with the October progressive challenge in mind. I wanted to use just one picture on this side of the page and had fun doing all the background techniques than waiting for all the steps for the progressive challenge. My own style kind of took over!....... the background is the only thing that went by the task of using 6 or more layers. 2 paper layers, gesso, misting, stencil work, torn paper, mod podge.
The mushrooms under the fairy is a cricut cut and colored with pencils. I had an old sticker that I put over the top.
Well...more weeks have gone by without getting done the scrapping that I planned on doing. It seems each year in this new business venture, exciting things keep happening that are sort of unplanned. Last week we signed an agreement to purchase land and building to move our machine shop into which should be taking place in the beginning of December...the only issue being that we need to find a new tenant for our current location as we still have 20 months to go on the lease. This should be an interesting period.
On another note, I opened up my Costco brochure this morning and see that Adobe Photoshop Elements is now into Version 14! Costco is promoting it for $39.99...does anyone know if it would be worthwhile to upgrade from version 11? It's been so long since I've actually done anything in PSE that I don't know if I would remember how to use it!
What's everyone up to today? I just checked out a few more VSBN layouts and left some love. You gals are creating wonderful layouts based on the challenges! Now I'm off to scrap until I have to get my kiddos ready for school.

Have a good day all!
Wow, $39.99 is such a good price. I'm still using 11, although I own 13. Each year they seem to add and subtract things and from user reviews, not all the updates are that much of an improvement. I read a few things about 13 that didn't sound favorable for what I do, so I never installed it. I haven't read anything yet about 14. If you learn anything, please let us know, Terry!

BUMMER!!! I just checked out the specs on Elements 14 at Costco and liked it enough to place an order at the member price of $39.99. When I went to check out it said, "Due to inventory changes, item 237875 in your cart is no longer available. This item cannot be purchased at this time."
Don't know what's up, but if anyone hears anything about it being available for the discount price in the future, can you please let me know?

Well, I guess I just jumped the gun a little...I went online to Costco again today and WAS able to order PSE14, so if anyone who's a member is interested, go for it. $39.99 + tax, free shipping. Yay!!
Wow, I'm being really relaxed this weekend ... stayed in bed to read this morning, I haven't done that for ages. Now I'm in the scrap room thinking about getting some pages done, how cool is that? ;)
There won't be any Trick-or-Treaters as we live on a rural road which always bums me out but my jack-o-lanterns have been on the porch and lit several times over the last couple weeks....
Hope everyone is having a good weekend
