Congrats to Cheryl on being the Featured Scrapper!! How fun!
I have not participated in this site for NSD, both sites I am on have tons of challenges going and I am overwhelmed with keeping up. I have done 10 layouts this month and need to take a look at what the challenges are again to see how to incorporate them into the last layouts to try and meet my goal this month.
Sharon, Lela's NSD challenges have three options each, so it's pretty easy to find some way to incorporate them onto a layout, even if you're already doing challenges from other forums and blogs. Have fun!
Hi ladies! It's been a long time since I checked in here...my kiddo is now two so any time that I have to myself I prefer to spend working in my craft room as opposed to browsing the internet ;) But he's been sick this week, and watching movies a lot...there's only so many times I can watch Cars in a single week. I'm still scrapping as much as I can and making steady progress on his baby book (which I hope to finish before he turns three, haha).
Hope y'all are doing great and having fun scrapping your photos!
I’d love to join you ladies this month, I haven’t scrapped for a while although I have a page laid out on my desk, it’s been there for over a month I think!
I will go and find the challenge and hopefully my page will fit.
Christy to see you pop on. Hope your poppet is feeling better soon.
Sharon your LO is gorgeous...is this you and your DH? How is he going? How are you going?
Jan, at least you have a LO on your desk. I am making cards...because I need cards to send and not making many. I want to create and am stuck...I’ve been like this for months. I need a week’s scrapping workshop lol...or Lela or someone to come here and give me a push. I went into my craft room today...put 2 cards together and came back downstairs as it’s so cold here at present...to me. I think I will need to bring my stash downstairs and where it’s warmer..lol. Happy creating.
Lela, how did you go with your family weekend visit?
Joyce Ann, hows your design work going?
Amy...where are you lol?
Happy Saturday everyone. Hugs

Jayne I have that problem in the winter as my craft room is not heated, I used to have a portable gas heater but Steve was worried about fumes so he threw it out so if it’s cold I can’t go up there for long.
Now it’s getting too warm! Can’t win, LOL
Jan we do have reverse cycle heating but it was dinner time so I came downstairs. Now with the heating on I’m having to strip off but not saying much to hubby otherwise he will turn it off...he’s such a tight #$& sometimes lol. Wonder if he will notice I’m shedding jumpers lol.

We are off to our last football match for this season, I can’t say I’m sorry as they’ve been playing badly the last few months.
Steve is very happy as he’s just read that Nottingham Forest are having their friendly pre season matches in La Manga, just over an hour away from here, a bit nearer than Portugal, we’ve been there two years to watch them.
Hi everyone. Have a wonderful Monday and happy scrapping.
I wonder how Joyce Ann is going...miss her on here.

Busy scrapping this morning after a week of other distractions, but I thought I'd pop in to say hi! Anyone planning to scrap this week?
Jayne, Joyce Ann is around. She posted comments on some layouts in the gallery yesterday in addition to posting a page for one of the (i)NSD challenges!
Popping in to say hi. Sorry to have appeared to be neglectful of you, my dear scrappy family! I have still been checking in on you all.
As for the design work, it is just to make one page a month for Sketches in Thyme blog. Nothing special, I just have to make the assigned sketch into a page, which this week's happens to be the one I have to do. It is due today (oh my!) There is one obligation left on the Guest Design spot to do yet. Actually, it's more fun to pick challenges or sketches, ya know! I did like the stamping challenges I was given for this month, though, at Lasting Memories.

Just thought I’d pop in and say hello to everyone! Yes, I’m still around! Haven’t been doing any paper scrapping at all, although I have a group of friends that like to make cards, so I do that occasionally, but have trouble with my hands these days and it’s becoming harder to play with paper. My desktop computer got slow and it was nearly impossible to do any digiscrapping, but I got my first laptop about a year ago and I’m finally getting used to it a bit, and messing with a page or two. I don’t think I’ll be back to being a regular here, but I’m going to try to post a page here and there. As some of you might recall, I belong to a country and western dance club and have been doing some pages for them. My granddaughters, who used to be my main focus for pages, are now 13 and 17(!) and don’t sit still much for pictures. LOL. My older DGD just went to her junior prom, and those photos are so awesome, I’m sure I’ll do a page for that and promise I’ll post it! Our dogs have always been another big thing in our lives, so maybe I’ll do a few pages about them. We now have four! lol
It’s good to see some familiar faces here and I still stay in touch with a couple on Facebook. Hope you’re all doing well!
Wow, Wendy! So good to hear from you, and that you are doing ok. I look forward to seeing that DGD on a prom scrap page. Always loved your digi pages! I still do paper!
Well it looks like I have a shot at making my goal for the month with 13 pages done I just have a couple more to do and s few days left in the month.
Wendy it is so good to hear from you, glad things are going well. I understand how there are fewer pictures once the kids get older. I have two graduating from high school this year and one left who will start HS next year. Lots of senior pictures, prom, graduation to scrap...then there is always catch up years of photos to get thru!!
Sharon (Sewflake)...would you like to come and help me with mine LOL? Hope that you've all had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend....and also today.
It's a long weekend for us next weekend. The poppets are coming for a sleepover..yay.
Happy day and hugs

Although I did not state a scrapbooking goal here, I would like to say that as of last night I have completed 27 pages. That is an all time high. I actually have plans for two more. I won't reach anywhere near that number in June because I plan to do some sewing. I've really neglected that area of my life.
I miss popping in to SCS and seeing what my sweet scrapbook ladies have to say. Since there is so little activity in this subject, I'm wondering why. Are you not really making pages? Is there some other creative activity you are engaged in?
I look forward to a quick note any of you care to share with us from time to time.

Hi, Joyce Ann! I just can’t keep up with everything I want to do! Not have to, but want to do! I can’t do it all. I am trying to read three different books right now. I like to walk when it is nice enough out, at least 45 to 60 minutes a day. I have my prayer and devotions time; it is never enough time to really dig in, like I would like to. My hubby likes some of my time. I try to keep house nice, and there is cooking. I love to make cards, scrap, and just playing my craft room with my stuff. I am always, cleaning, reorganizing, purging, etc. now, and friends, family, SplitcoastStamper chattering! I don’t even work, and my family is out of town. I guess I don’t know how to balance my time, because, it just all hangs over my head. I don’t have enough, and it seems to fly! I have to do this , I have to do that. What is wrong with me?
What about all you? How are you able to balance your time? And some of you kids, and this hobby? I think I am rambling. I have to go fix dinner, because it has to set in the drive several hours. I did get my walk and prayer time in. Now s;b doing my Bible instead of this! LOL
You would think when you get to this stage of your life that things would slow down a bit or at least you would have finally figured out how to manage and schedule everything in your life!!! I have had decades and decades to get one on accomplished and still it doesn't happen.
The time you have the more is asked of your time. I don't belong to any groups or clubs or social activities as I don't leave the house often and if I do it has to do with managing the household with someone to stay with hubby if I am going to be gone more than 15 minutes.
I find the more time I spend in chat forums the less time I have to devote to scrapping, still I try to keep my "hand" in a couple of forums. One more often that the other.
I do read a little but end up falling asleep after 1 or two chapters and that is if I find the book interesting!!!
I love to cook from scratch and bake but when I do I have piles of dishes that need to be cleaned!!
I also have laundry on a daily bases, 1 to 3 loads.
I don't often get to go see my DIL who is in stroke rehab with loss of speech and use of right side after/during surgery for brain aneurysm. They do keep her busy with therapy several hours a day and still it is slow going with it being slow getting any control back. My DS has his hands full with school, study, clinical, and visiting with her daily then trying to keep his household running.
Right now we are just focusing on what has to be done and getting a little bits of "want to" done as I can.
Headed out to the store now that is close to home after I make sure hubby has everything he needs and does not have to get out of his chair till I get back.
Happy Wednesday everyone...hope that you all slept well.
Wow Joyce Ann, you rocked it this month...27 pages. I have done zilch. As you know I have been like this for months. My list of challenges is loooooonnnnnggggg.
I love all of you ladies, I love this site and I am on a few threads chatting. I also do not know where time goes other than I can be on this site for an hour or so checking out challenges, commenting on pages/cards, leaving hello's.....I used to think I was wasting time but as it brings me joy I have decided that I am just going to do what makes me happy.
Like Sharon M I can't keep up with everything. When I worked full time I was studying part time at Uni for 9 years doing assignments in the middle of the night, keeping a house and looking after 3 boys and running around like a chook with my head off. I look back and wonder how I managed but I did and kept on top of things. I didn't have golf or craft then.
As for now and being retired for 6 years I feel that I am busier than ever and wonder how we managed to work. Golf takes up 3 days of our week. On those 3 days I only manage to cook and keep the home tidy. I rarely get into my craft room unless it's in the evening for an hour and either spend time tidying up or making a quick card.
On the other days it is time with hubby, catch up with friends, appointments, food shopping, more home chores such as decluttering, etc etc.
Wednesday - is MY day. I usually meet friends who are also retired every few weeks, my appointment day and when I have nothing on like today I do a few jobs around the house (decluttering), get on here, update my challenges and then head to the craft room. It's already arvo and I'm nowhere near the craft room but once I get there I will be there until dinner time and until hubby gets home from his golf LOL.
I used to scrap with a friend every fortnight on a Wednesday but we stopped doing this last year as she is too busy and rarely crafts now. Some Wednesdays I go to a friend who is SU demo and do a kit with her. My craft group meets monthly and we all now make cards.
Saturday - is poppet day....this is the day we keep free to see them and the kids, plus in winter can be the day we go to watch footy matches. This is a "let's go with the flow day" if the poppets don't come over. This weekend is a long weekend and they are coming all day and sleeping over...yay. Once more poppets arrive, then time will be taken up helping out but so far none on the horizon.
In between all of the above is shopping, time together, catch up with friends together and just doing stuff around the home/garden. If we are planning a trip then time is taken up with that and a lot of time if a big trip.
Yesterday I decided not to go to golf and after meeting a friend for coffee at 9.30am I didn't get back home until 4pm...I was out food shopping, eyebrows, shopping for presents and generally running back and forth to the shops. I was exhausted LOL.
I'm also trying to read again...I used to be in a bookclub and used to read 4-5 books a month. I rarely read now and miss it but now I try and read whilst dinner is cooking or before bed. I'm not getting far LOL. There always seems to be something else to do.
As for craft and particularly after a trip I do find it hard to get motivated as we are generally catching up on things at home and with friends.
If I do craft I usually do cards as I find these easier. Now that I'm on a thread where a kit is sent I have been catching up with those as they were sent to me whilst I was away and I feel I shouldn't sit on them when someone has taken time to send me stash.
I only started making cards about 3 years ago and never thought I would get into it as I've been a scrapper for nearly 20 years but the more I make, the more I am loving doing cards.
I've also recently downloaded a free database app and sit on the couch in the evenings uploading my craft stash as I have bought way too much and use a fraction of it. I did some this morning so that is now taking up some of my time. The intention is that I will start to use my stash.
I'm also helping hubby with ancestry research.
As you can see, life is busy busy.
Joyce Ann, the challenges on this thread are fantastic and the current ones are up my alley as I have so many travel photos, but I just can't seem to get motivated. I can't even say I don't have photos as I had hundreds printed that are still sitting in my craft room.
Scrapping has always been up and down for me. If I had an album to complete, then I'm good and will get it done. If I know that no-one but me is going to appreciate the album then I will leave it until I'm ready. With cards, I make them because I can send them to family and friends or even send the panels to someone who will reuse them.
I am also shocked at myself as usually when I set a goal I go for it but this month is nearly over and I've done nothing. I have decided that I won't set myself a goal for June and just see what happens. It is also a busy month with family and friend birthdays too.
I also had the gym 2-3 times a week on Monday/Wednesday/Friday and don't go to that now. This is another area of my life where I can't seem to find motivation.
My life is busy but I don't think any different to others. I just choose to do different things. I enjoy chatting and on a day when I'm feeling a little flat it helps.
I will keep popping in and checking out all of your beautiful creations but who knows when I will finally feel like doing some myself. I really wish I lived closer to you guys and that would help. Maybe I need to try and reignite scrapping fortnights with my friend but right now she tells me she has no time.
Time for me to say a quick hello on another couple of threads and then go and seize the rest of the day.
Hugs to you all jx

Funny, Joyce Ann, I thought yesterday was the last day of the month. I already up dated my total in my signature! LOL. Today, I am going to try to put kits together for next week’s retreat. Maybe I will look at doing another LO, today....
