Scrappin' Challenge 2008
It was SO fun to see everyone's goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2008! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done, use more in our stash before buying new (well at least keep track) and save $$ at the same time which becomes scrapping budget $ for next year -- or vacation money or Holiday fund!

The July Scrap Challenge is this: Kirsten (goegirl) started us off by selecting a l/o in Collette's (estrovan) gallery to scraplift. She posted hers and Tami (brideofpez) spoke up & said she'd be next (but Lela snuck in and scraplifted Kirsten and posted hers). Tami scraplifted the layout posted her layout & now we're just waiting for Lanita (divanurse) since she volunteered to scraplift Tami to go next. The process for this month is to SCRAPLIFT the specific LAYOUT of the Sister before you. If you would like to jump in on our Scraplift Challenge just post in the thread and I'll add you to the list. You can jump in as many times as you'd like to. We'll use code "SBCJulySL". Please upload your page once it is done so we can see the great progression by the end of the month!
For our final Christmas in July challenge we are going to take a line from one of my favorite Christmas songs. This challenge is about all your adorable pictures. We all have some kind of picture that we look at and just go aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
A sketch is provided. It will allow you to use at least five pictures. You can use pictures in place of the embellishments. The title is optional. Journaling is a must too. The dotted area on the bottom layer can either be bling all the way around, stitching from the sewing machine, or just dots or dashes. Use your imagination. Lets show off those pictures we ADORE.

Hello friends!!! My goal for July will be 10 pages...and I have 5 still left to do to make my June goal...probably won't happen but my June goal was a little lofty (30 pages) I will set an annual goal as well. I use the CM picfolio 12 by 12 albums for all 7 of the grandchildren and they will each hold 32 layouts. I am hoping to get to the point where I stop scrapping every breath they draw but have you seen how cute they are???!!! So if I say half a book for each that would make 112 pages for the year. Then there are my own books and I tend to neglect those and focus on the grandchildren's pages so I would like to commit to work on getting 18 pages done for my own books as well. So, in your opinion, is an annual goal of 130 pages reasonable. If you think it is, then since we are half way through the year I will commit to get 65 more pages done in 2008. That would be the 5 I have left from my June goal then 10 per nonth for the next 6 minths...very "doable" I expect. I am going to try not spending any money except for adhesive again this month. I am finding that using my stash leaves me feeling doubly happy...I am using what I have and seeing that diminish and I am saving money. Life is good!!!
So, 15 pages for July and 65 pages in total between now and the end of December and no money on anything but adhesive.

Ok-after much deliberation-
my goal for this month is 35 pages
my budget is 115.00--
50.00 new SU stuff, 25 class in SC w/ dil, 7 for the new Tim Holz ruler, and 30.00 for the new Basic Grey paper &/or other pretty paper/embellies that happens upon my way!!
Ok just so you know, I have found fabric flowers in the scrapbook section of Walmart and rhinestone embellies--the pink pack--that I have only seen once has flowers that match purely pomegranate perfectly!

My goals for July are 10 layouts. though i have not posted much this has kept me on my toes. every other weekend my friend and i have been getting together for some scrapbooking fun.
OK! well July Goals I should have more time because my youngest dd will be away at school for three weeks, and oldest dd starts practice and has cheer camp keeping her busy,. more time for me. yeah! i want to really push my self so,
50 pages in july/ 150 for years end.and no $m-o-n-e-y!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! spent.
Since I have 3 whole days all by myself next week, plus I am dragging my scrappin stuff on our vacation, I will say 30 pages again in July without spending a single dime, I hope!!

I jumped on the bandwagon half way through June, so I think I can make it! Especially because I have one whole week off of work!!!!!!!!!!! Plus I need 32 pages total for my county fair exhibit aka win money for more scrapbook stuff

I am in for July! I am going to really push myself to go for 15. As far as spending, I will go with stash until the SU preview comes out for the new catalog. After that, I may need to rethink and spend...

Just in case I dont get in tomorrow....HAPPY CANADA DAY to my friends to the north. I am a Transplanted Canadian/Newfie and will always be...lol. Moving to the US is just an excuse to party for Canada day and the 4th of July....lmao!!!!
On to the challenge.....it really is gonna be a challenge for me this month with all the traveling I'll be doing but I have to give it a little......lets say...ummm.....5 pages.....nahhhhh.......10 pages!!!!!!!! 10 pages for me for July with a $10 budget or less *cough* oiy lol! One is already n progress.
