I am going to set a monthly goal of two layouts with a yearly goal of 24-30. I know that's not much, but I work two jobs and I want to be realistic LOL!

Anyone else scrapping tonight? I am working on the VSBN Challenges. I have two done and working on one. Thought of ideas for two others but can't come up with idea for the last one.
Hey Sharon, thanks for putting together a VSBN!! I'm excited to play along! I don't know that I'll get to this weekend, but maybe after the kids are back to school Tuesday.
And nope, not current. SOME current things, haha, but I'm only completely "done" from 99-2005. Then I got a digital camera and never caught back up! haha!

To have 99-2005 is quite an an accomplishment! I know what you mean about digital camera changing things! Another thing though for me is after kids were gone, the it was just photos of get togethers, or trips. But lately I have tried to take photos of us with everyday life, since we only get together once a year with family. But oh, well I have enough to catch up with. I still have a gap between 82 and 87 I think . But luckily not as many photos back the .
There is a point if you don’t scrap the photos, that they don’t interest you anymore! Like I have a lot of photos of the church parties etc of over 10 years ago. Don’t see those people anymore. New church. Just saying.
I didn't reach my goal in 2022 but I did get a lot of pages done. The scrapbook I made my aunt for her birthday was a hit - she said it was her favorite present she ever received (she is 80). I haven't been scrapping much but do have retreat coming up. I won't do a goal for January but will try and get 10 pages done in February.
Loved all the pages I saw you all do in 2022. Keep documenting life and loves. It is important.

Hope all are enjoying their Sunday. I'm taking it easy this afternoon. Friday I finished an apron for my Leia (alias Tiny Tot) with an embroidered bib - "Kiss the Cook". I need to get a photo of it still.
Hoping to get some photos together for the challenges.

I scrapped today but nothing fit the vsbn challenges. I have tomorrow off, so hopefully I can get back to the challenges. I am still working on the 2017 trip, i ma getting close to being done. I ordered a new album for all the pages.
I I did a lot of pages today, I will post my favorites soon. My dh came home from a scout camp out. We are watching football. These games have been good yesterday and today. He is going to a bruins game with scouts tomorrow so I will have more scrap time .

Heck no...I'm not current! But I'm trying to plug along & not let it bother me.
I printed photos at Walgreens today & they all didn't upload. Of course the ones I was going to work on tonight (finally) didn't print. Oh well, maybe I just need to moved on to the next event.
I think I finally finished the pages for the 2017 trip to Disney World and Universal. There are a lot of pages. I will post a few more today. I didn't take pictures yet, my pictures on my phone and ipad are never great so I resist taking them.

Back from my crop, everything put away and moving on to quilting for a few days. I did make one card when I returned home but that is about it. I will get my layouts posted soon then take a look at VSBN to garner ideas to finish out the month.
I thought I had completed 13 pages at the crop but have only found 11 of those to photograph so going with 11 for now. 14 for the month so far.
Hope you very one is doing well.
Just wondering if anyone has the same problem I do when I print my photos. I use CVS or Walgreens so I can do same day pick-up. The photos are never exactly what I see on my phone or laptop. The photo service always crops them so they are all "zoomed in". Sometimes it's OK because I can still crop myself to make a smaller photo but a lot of time I have to use the entire 4x6 & I can't have different size photos. I also have to go through every photo to make sure someone head isn't cut off, etc. then edit the photo. Does anyone use a printing service that doesn't do this?
I I have been using my Cannon Selphy, but now it is giving me grief. May need a new one, unless I just go back to using Walgreens, which I did this time. Walgreens Telmex not to crop before I order, crop after I get them! They were cutting heads off. My Selp did the same. LOL. Lou Ann, I think when we take the photo we have to leave plenty of room above the heads. LOL. To answer your question, same problem, not matter who I use!

Glad (well sort of) it's not just me. I tried reading on it & it seems that it had something to do with the ratio when the photos is taken.
About my Walgreens prints - I send them from the computer. I do not go in store to order. When I hve uploaded my prints on the website I get a chance to edit them. I can make them brighter, if I had not done ne so on my computer. I do not see them zoomed in like you ladies mentioned. Because I now scrap a smaller page I often put 2 photos on one 4x6 print which I do on my computer. They have always come out just like I see on my order before sending. If you do something different, I'm not helpful. On the Selphy printer I make the corrections on my phone app, like how many pics, orientation and whether I need to zoom in on a more defined portion of the photo. Love that! I did that on my "No More Cookies" layout.

My Selphy keeps telling me it isn’t the right size paper! It is what came in the box with their ink cartridges. Then, last week the ink cartridge broke. So, trying to think of I will get another cartridge and try one more time before I break down and get new Selphy. A lot more expensive than when I got it over 6 years ago; maybe even longer. I think I got my moneys worth.
Joyce Ann, I do edit photos on their website and order from there. Sometimes, their program want me to order the digital size. It tells me it will be better. I have a horrible time with whole process and always end up with two off something, even though I double check. Last time it had two of everything when I got to the cart, so I went through and deleted duplicates, but still got a couple in my order. Just so frustrating for me.

I finally got to play with a VSBN challenge to use new photos. The school pictures were taken in September, but they only sent home the class "photo" last week. My daughter has been carrying it around, haha, so now it is safely in her scrapbook! School Pics
Also, I can't update my signature. I even clicked the "contact us" button and was told that due to an update there's a problem they're working on, but I'm at 16/12 for the month, lol..... and 16/125 for the year.

2024 Scrapping Goals: May: 13/20; April:11; 2024: 59/125
I order my prints from Snapfish, I use the true digital size and matte finish. Getting a matte finish is important to me. I have learned to take pictures from further away which allows more “wiggle room” for cropping which I do at home.
I do check all my prints once they are in my cart before ordering to make sure the subject is oriented where I want it in the frame. I can zoom in on certain parts of my picture if necessary. For lighten or changing colors I do that on my phone before going to Snapfish.
I have sooo many pictures to scrap I don’t worry about the wait time for photos, plus I like the price. About 12 cents each.

I may have to try them. I try mot to take photos up close. I always edit once in my cart too. Thanks!
Hello all...weirdly enough I did a post at the beginning of the month and I do not see it on here anywhere. I hope I did not stick the sucker in the wrong album thread somewhere else and everyone was just too nice to tell me!! Ha!
Well..my new goal for this year will be 125. That seems to be the right fit for me in the past to challenge myself, but still attainable most of the time.
I had thought I would start strong in my original post I know I put 20, but since it does not seem to be here anywhere I think I get a redo on my goals since I am just getting started for the month!!!
I will plan for 10 and hope I can push through to that with only 11 days left in the month already!
I LOVE the VSBN challenges! My first double page spread I just finished and posted under the VSBN thread. I will post it here as well, but it is the same two pages. My goal is to finish them all even if it does not happen all in January.
Amy, I have been wondering where you were. I added your goals in the 2nd post. Welcome to 2023! I am glad to see you are doing the VSBN challenges. Cheryl is participating too, although she hasn't checked in here yet.
Have a look at our gallery for our VSBN: VSBN23JAN - Homemade Cards, Rubber Stamp Art, & Paper Crafts - Splitcoaststampers.com
Finished 2 pages today & they qualify for the VSBN "All About the New" Challenge #1 so it's a win/win! I left an area on the right page for journaling. Waiting on my DGS for info & that may be never...LOL!
Only half way to my monthly goal so I'd better get busy!!
