Sharon,
I am going to say 10 for this month and every month, yearly goal 120.

I am also setting a goal of giving more handmade gifts this year. If I am giving a gift, I want to make it, I envision lots of card sets as gifts. I already gave one today. My goal of buying less and using what I have is still in place. But I did email my demo place a su order.

I'm going with 104 for my annual goal so doing 8 per month will get me there. I should be able to complete my DGS's 2022 album & then start another year!

Sharon, thanks for keeping us going!

I exceeded my goal for last year, even though I dropped way off at the end of the year. So, I'm not real sure where I should set my goal for this year. I'm not feeling comfortable saying I will scrap so many pages now that I have been rethinking my habit of making so many pages.
I'm going to set my yearly goal at 120. I can't see myself giving up scrapbooking all together, but I do see myself doing more of my fabric and thread works. Some months will be more to make up for the months that will be less. That figured I should set my January goal at 10.
May we all have a blessed and peaceful 2023!

Happy New Year to you all! I hope you are all well!
In 2022, I far exceeded my goal thanks to attempting to scrap the entire trip to Disneyland, haha. It still isn't done...
I have finally had a moment to think about what I want to accomplish and what I realistically can accomplish ;) in 2023. I'm going to shoot for 125 for the year, really during Jan-Nov. I would really like to finish the Disney albums. I would like to scrap the photos I already have printed, since some of them have been printed for a decade or more...! I would like to get my daughter's school events all scrapped before she graduates in May. And then the ever lofty goal of "staying on top of scrapping". ha! I'm also totally happy to exceed my goal again. But we'll see what 23 holds!

In the meantime, after zero scrapping in December, I did get the two most recent dance pages done for my daughter last night:
Homecoming 22
Preference 22

Tanya,
I am trying to get pictures scrapped. I am working on a wdw trip form 2017, I will get there. I keep getting side tracked.
I have a huge box of pictures that I won’t open til I scrap what I have out. I did buy another photo organizer.
a friend might come over to scrap this weekend. I hope to get moving. We are in the midst of a college search so my time isn’t my own right now.

I have signed up for 5 crops for 2023 so I better make a goal of getting some pages done each month as well as the year.
My goal for the year is 150
my projected layouts for January are 15

I want to keep current/catch up on my DGS senior album as well as catching up with pictures taken with my my quilt ladies...plus I will be adding some cards to my stash so they are handy when needed.

I flit in and out during the year as time allows.
I have come to the conclusion that I have too many hobbies that I like to do with too many choices on what to do each day. When I can't decide I read! While that is relaxing it does not use any supplies I have in my stashes for scrapping, card making, quilting.
Meals, laundry, cleaning, and chicken care all HAVE to be done...
On to the next activity!

I agree, Sharon. There are not enough hours in the day to do all I want to do, plus all the stuff I need to do. I have figured out how to pray on my walks, but haven’t figured out how to walk and craft! Yes, some days I read, and don’t get cards made, pages scrapped, junk journals made, or all those challenges done that I am committed or Blog posts, etc. I also am in two Bible studies and have reading and studio to do for those. Oh, and a few volunteer activities! I guess I could give up sleeping!🤣

just do what we can when we can.

All my scrapping supplies are packed for Florida!...or at least what would fit! I'm lucky to have a LLS right around the corner if I need anything! I probably won get anything done for a few days but I did make 12 thank you cards yesterday! If all does good at the dentist we should be on the road by noon!

Sharon,
do you have a local store that hosts the crops? I’m am having friends over to craft, I’m planning for feb 4. We used to do once a month but it is too hard to plan now.

Pia, there is one lady that hostess several crops throughout the year, some in NW Florida and some in Louisiana about 5 hours from me. Now a few in Gulf Shores Alabama as she needs to stay closer to home for a spell. She is retired and I’m not sure if she makes any $$ doing this as there are always a ton of door prizes, make and takes, and snacks. Often layout kits too. Plus I assume the rental of the hotel conference room.

I just know her crops are sold out within an hour of being announced….that is for the full year!! Many of the same people to to all of her crops time after time. I think this will be her third year.

Nice, Sharon & Pia! I used to go to 4 day scrap retreats a couple of hours from here. It got to difficult to pack up, unpack, pack up and unpack again! Plus carrying in stuff, etc, sleeping in a different bed. So, I don’t do it anymore. I have gotten in the habit of crafting in my own room with everything handy, while on Zoom with friends. I really didn’t know those people when I went out of town. I knew them because they were the same ones, always, but weren’t friends other times, nothing in common except for the scrapping. And Pia, the LSS does have crops, and even cropaganzas twice a year at a local hotel, but same thing, I done feel like packing up and unpacking!

Sharon and Sharon,
I do hate the packing. I like having my friends here, it saves me. We do a 4 day crop one a year. Me and my bff are going to drive to Lancaster PA for CKC in July. We might do a crop there, a few classes and some shopping. The vendors we want don’t travel to the one near us. It is a 6 hour drive. We will do some sight seeing too.

Pia, that sounds fun and with your best friend, even better. I would do that if I had a best friend here to go with. My best friend and crafting pal died a few years ago. She died before I even discovered Scrap retreats after I retired; she would have loved them.

Sharon,
Sorry about your friend. When I make cards I think of my grandmother who always sent cards. I wish she was around when I got into the craft. She was one of 17! And had 8 kids! So lots of grandkids, nieces, nephews etc. she remembered all the birthdays and anniversaries!

We have a group of 6 who craft together. Three are exclusively card makers. One is a scrapper. Two of us scrap and make cards. We will all go to a weekend crop locally. I am determined to travel more and am looking forward to PA.

I just visited the gallery, and I uploaded five more of my own. Last night I got 8 layouts done, using a lot of older photos. I got six for my senior, one for Disney and one for my youngest. I used a lot of retired products (paper, stamps, inks and embellishments). And crazy enough, I met my January goal!
I had to laugh at myself when after uploading some of them, I kept typing "okay this a simple layout...." So okay, okay, my scrapping style is SIMPLE and I'll let you know if it is "more" some day, hahaha!

I'm not sure they're approved yet, but here's my pages:
Sword In The Stone
First Day 2019
Cousin Time
Pool Party
First Day 2022

Happy New Year ladies. I may not check in much but think of you all. Good to see you all still scrapping. Life’s been busy this end and no sign of slowing down yet. Not sure when I will get back to scrapping. Miss it. Hugs

I am off to check out your pages. I did a lot yesterday. I will count when I get home and post just a few. After awhile they look the same. I was determined to empty one photo organizer that I had. I am just about done. I need to make a few pages from a trip to Philadelphia a few years ago. I think I will finish tonight. Once that I done, I have a huge box of prints to sort, that will take a bit to do! I bought another photo sorter so I can sort, organize and label. I still have the disney 2017 trip to finish.

Pia, some friends & I will be going to CKC Lancaster too! We'll have to meet up!

yes! Have you been before? We have done the one in NH, but not for years. It got really small. We want to see the whole kit and kaboodle and paper wiz. It gives us an excuse to get away too.

I did a few more layouts tonight. I hope to finish the Philadelphia pages tomorrow. Then I’ll count what I did. We did FAFSA tonight and it wore me out!

We went for 4 or 5 years in a row but haven't been in long time either. From my understanding it's not as big as it used to be. There are 4 of us going this year & we have missed having a girls vacation. The last 2 times, we had a suite so we had a living room & dining room with a big table so we had a place to work. This year we couldn't get it but we'll figure something out. We stay until Monday morning. If you can you should go a day or 2 earlier. There are a lot of LLS & good restaurants. If you want names & addresses, let me know. Funny you menttion the Paper Wiz because we used to get matching shirts from him every year!

Love the chatter, here! I hope you can meet up. I know that once Lela and Joyce Ann met up. So fun when we can physically meet up.

I finally counted my pages-27!! I am thrilled. My friend was here, we had the football game on, we scrapped, talked, and complained about the game. I am so excited that I finally finished all the pictures in that bin. I will post a few in the gallery and link here soon.

First of all I need to catch up on all the chatter, people traveling and scrapping and busy. Its nice to see information other than scrap pages, you know, for those of us that don't get as much scrapping done we can still chat while I drool over the completed pages.

I have gotten myself in a real pickle...with fabric as I take in a hoarders 20 year collection sorting and organizing by color and theme and type. The first 100 bins (small) are done and waiting to be distributed between quilters, a teacher (for the craft items) and anyone I can get names of locally that want non-cotton type fabrics. That has kept me busy for the last three days.
Good thing I have my kits ready to go to my crop this weekend, packing, unloading then packing and unloading again. Yup I still do that but with the kits I don't have to take much in the way of paper, just inks and a few dies plus my scrap bins. Its nice that our events are held at a local hotel where they have the dollies for loading and unloading

Sharon, I'm with you and know I over think my pages too much. It still takes me too long to do a page when at a three day crop that I'm lucking to get 15 pages done with almost everything I need in each bag!!

My traveling scrap ladies are looking for a crop someplace in the states for us to attend.
We like places that have easy access to the airport, a town with things of interest for the husbands, that go, to do, places to eat close by and at least 3 if not 4 days. Usually we don't have many cars and its hard or impossible to haul 7 to 10 people anyplace to eat. We are looking at a few places...

Lou Ann,
we are heading down Wednesday. We might do the crop Thursday and Friday but we aren’t committed to that. If you send the restaurants, etc I’m interested. We have to head home Saturday. We aren’t committed to a leaving time on Saturday. My friend wants to see the area. We have been to Hershey.
Thank you

Here are a few of my layouts , these are all of my son’s Eagle Scout project in 2016. I am so far behind, but I just am not letting it bother me! I scrap holidays, birthdays, major events, and vacations. I will catch up eventually.
i am so impressed with all of you who are current!
