Scrappin' Challenge 2019Can you believe this is our 11th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2018 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2019! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages, goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2019! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of use who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month.
*In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us.
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!

Finished several pages yesterday that I didn’t post until today so are in the Dec album.
Exceeded Dec goal with 13 pages and finished YTD over goal at 146.
Crafty goals for 2019:
Jan goal 20
Year goal 175
Joining a monthly ATC card group to do something a little different
Going to try to work on more pages throughout the week instead of just binge sessions like I seem to do now. Have a new table in my craft room hoping to designate for scrapping only, so I can just keep things flowing.
Agree with what all the other ladies are saying about you, Lela. You're the one who got me hooked on SCS in the first place, and you have been a great administrator and a support for me on this forum. And that's despite working a full time job that has you flying all over the place!
For 2018, I managed to come in at 69 layouts, so well over my goal of 52. Would have loved to hit 70, but still happy I scrapped so much considering I was tempted to throw in the scrapbooking towel earlier in the year until the encouragement of you lovely ladies fired me up to get scrapping again! For 2019, I'm setting my goal at 70, and my January goal is 15. Here's my first one:
Happy New Year everyone. Lela, I also agree with all of the comments that the other ladies have said. You really do keep us all together and even though I haven't been "scrapping" with you ladies for many years, I feel I have come to know you as friends.
My OLW this year will be tolerance as I need to learn this. I also need to remember last year's OLW Commit. Unfortunately I didn't always succeed with this one so will add it to this year and have a TLWs ;)
I have watched lots of youtube videos over the holiday period and especially December Daily. My crafty goals this year will be:
- To complete my 2017/18 travel album
- To start a Year In Review album (monthly)
- To create at least 1 card challenge/week
(this isn't a lot but I would like to aim for it)
- To start the poppets albums
I have so many projects that I would like to do and I shall alternate between them all as much as possible.
My scrapping goal for January 2019 will be 10 pages
YTD for 2018 was 32.5
At first I thought that my YTD was shocking but given that before I joined this site I didn't even achieve that many pages I am happy. You ladies motivate me and your support and encouragement is very much appreciated.

Happy New Year! I agree with the other ladies. Thank you Lela for all the work you do. I haven't scrapbook since 2013, did cards and parties for some time and going back to what I love scrapbook. Move around the world, now back in the US with a house with a room for me and my DD 8, she is starting too.

My goal for 2019 is 200 pages, kind of in-between the last two years goal.
2018 was a productive year with 207 pages, thanks to all of the challenges I join and the crops I attend during the year.
I have 3 crops scheduled for 2019.
2019 goals;
I am working on a 8x8 album of photos of my mother - a few photos of mom and dads earliest years, with what bits of information I have heard of that time in her/their life before us kids came along.
I want to work/finish my DS2 & DIL wedding album for their 20th anniversary this year.
I have an album for DGD graduation in May.
Whew, I better get scrapping as I am sure I will throw in other events along the way.
Almost forgot to post these, but here are two layouts I finished this week, one for the scraplift challenge and one just for fun. Trying to get as much scrapping done as possible before the kids go back to school next week and the madness recommences!
I've finished packing up last of Christmas decorations, got some Happy Mail done and out to the mailbox, exercised (2019 Daily Goal) and now I'm ready to work on finishing my December Daily Album ... I'm on Day 27 ... I'm hoping to get it finished today
But first ... I'm off to play along with the "Featured Stamper" Challenge for this week. I would like to try to do 1 card challenge a week ...

Got some more scrapping in today. I did a pocket page and a regular layout. Just curious if you guys count pocket pages in your layout totals for the year.
Cheryl, I rarely do a pocket page. Since there is a front and a back that I feel like I must plan since I can't leave only one filled it would be wasteful, I count the two sides as "1".
I uploaded two today. One still on my table to be completed.
Happy Sunday everyone. Cheryl I started a mini album last year and count 2 pages as 1 as I find I sometimes spend just as much time on them. For pocket pages 12x12 I still count as 1 page. I guess it's what works for everyone and I don't feel as though I'm cheating...lol. I think the important thing is to create. I intend to do more mini albums from this year.

I agree with you, Jayne, count a page according to how much product, time and energy it takes for you. So, Cheryl, its up to you, we each have to do what we think. Mine are so minimal compared to others, so that is what I go with.
Here is another page - it's a crazy one, was really fun but involved. I'm sure it is over done, but I enjoyed the process.
I hope everyone had a FUN and PRODUCTIVE weekend! It was good here! Got all of Christmas packed away for next year, finished up some "house" stuff that needed to be done, got in some exercise - even went out for a walk today (January in Ohio and no snow right now!)
I also am SO EXCITED because I finished my December Daily 2018 Album! All 31 stories are in the album and it's wrapped up. I was also so happy to have that completed so I could go back to scrapping "regular" pages, I got a few of those done this weekend

Joyce Ann your page is awesome and not crazy.....my type of thing.
I started my 1 card/week challenge and am doing the mixed media one...it's fun and I'm hoping that I may be able to make a tag to use in my scrapping with one of the pages. It's been an easy process.
Currently waiting for hubby to get off our pc so I can check and print some photos.

Hey everyone. Sorry to ditch out on you for the month of December. My son was doing his eagle project all month and I didn't have time to do any scrapping. So what ever I ended Nov with is my YTD for 2018. I'm setting an ambitious 360 pages this year. 30 pages a month. We'll see how it goes. I was amazed at how much I got done last year.
I am getting close to completing my first goal for 2019. I have made great headway on that album for mom, just a 3 more pages to finish up then two pages of journaling and I should be done. I have the journaling written I just need to print if off (deciding on what paper to use) and put it in my book.
The last few pages seem to be the hardest, but then they are left over photos and needing to come up with a couple of title.
Hi everyone.....Liz were you in my home today...lol. I was thinking about scrapping and creating today and thought I wonder how Liz is going...she's not been around for a while...and here you are. Good to see you on the thread.
Well done Andy on scrapping so many pages last year. Awesome goal you have for this year.

I do have all of the page done Jayne, or almost 1 page needs a title and 1 picture printed for it the last page needs a title which I thing I will do right now.
This afternoon was spent at the hospital working on what to do next after hubby's MRI on his brain. Going to be doing a Lumbar puncture in the next couple of weeks and go from there.
I have not been scrapping, just cutting heavy chipboard to make magnetic holders for my dies.
Got another page done tonight. Love this month's scraplift challenge!
Here is my first scraplift of Joyce Ann's gallery. I challenged myself further and decided not look at any new images knowing I would just get lost in that great gallery and not get anything done tonight! So I had to only use one that I had already saved in my favorites previously from her gallery. Worked out nice because it still gave me 15 different choices!
