Lynn I was going to suggest embrace. That was a word that we used a lot on our trip...we used to get up and say "let's embrace today"...such fun and we found that even places we didn't originally like, we ended up having such a fun day. I found the word actually puts a positive slant on everything. Love your OLW.
I played on VSN yesterday and finished all of the 6 cards. Was out today so couldn't play and may do some of the challenges but perhaps not all as I want to get back into scrapping. Sometimes I think I should have just stuck with scrapping as I get distracted but then I wouldn't have found this site had I not taken up card making and would have missed out on "meeting" you all. I shall have to switch between the 2 and find some balance again.
This week is a slower week for us thank goodness and leading up to Xmas...it's been a whirlwind and now we can just chill and slow down. Have fun

Happy Monday everyone (or Sunday evening)....I saw when I opened the forum that I had already liked your posts before reading them LOL. I won't clog it up further but know I like all of your posts.
Out for brekkie with a good friend this morning and then the usual Monday chores...yuk. Lela, yes there are so many crafty projects and ideas and I would love to just have more time to do them all. I have cards coming out of my ears and a lot aren't good enough to do anything with them. I keep going onto Youtube for ideas or looking at online stores and seeing items I would love for my craft room. Maybe in 2019 I can remember my 2018 OLW...commit...and just do it...not buy, not watch...just do. Now that would be novel LOL.

I thought I posted earlier today! I just realized I never posted the Stash Buster, and now I feel it is too late. I have been working on VSN this month, now have to finish Christmas cards and clean out my craft room for our granddaughter to sleep in over Christmas.
So no scrapping this month. 85 pages done YTD.
**** Yay, had time this evening to get some of my December Daily Album Pages done. I've been taking photos and writing stories daily but haven't had time to pull the pages together ... here's the first few
Sharon....look what I've just received...has made my day. Thank you so much. Love it. Has mine arrived your end yet? I only mailed mine overseas last week so it may still be in transit. Usually if I mail to the UK it takes 1-10 days and I'm hoping similar to the States/Canada.

Awww. Your welcome. Glad you received it! I don’t know when I mailed it! Nothing yet at this end! I have to make a card and post for all my SCS friends!
I do hope they get the like button cleared up soon, very hard to tell which button to click for like a certain post so I have not done any.
Alas, too much time chatting on line and cleaning IRL to get any scrapping done the last few days. Hope that changes soon. Maybe after Christmas, or in the new year!!
Happy Thursday everyone. Poppet day today. We made some poppers from the VSN kids challenge. Check out the photos of them on the can thread.....it will make a nice scrap LO. Later we went to dinosaur mini golf. Such a cool place.

Happy Saturday and a very Merry Xmas and a Happy 2019 to you all. It is over 40 degrees here...sweltering outside so I am indoors with the aircon on and will soon go and drool over my December Daily (Ali Edwards) box that arrived a couple of days ago. I hope to use it on my Pocket Pages from last December's trip...LOL.
I probably will be back on this site before Xmas as we are pretty organised. Going to glaze our ham tomorrow and will cook the turkey on Xmas Eve. In case I don't get back online, I'm wishing you and your families a very safe and happy Xmas and may 2019 be a healthy and happy one for you all with lots of creating time. Enjoy it all. Happy Sunday everyone....Lynn Rofl....you crack me up.
I'm also working on getting organised for Xmas as we are now hosting it here for hubby's family....19 of us....as it's going to be 35 degrees and way too hot to go to a park. We don't have seating for everyone but we shall make it work. Should be fun.
Have cleaned the house and also glazed the ham. About to clean the kitchen and then paint my nails. We are heading out in a couple of hours to friends for a BBQ. 36 degrees here today and muggy.
No rest for me today even if it is Sunday.
Tomorrow I shall make dessert and then put my feet up.

Jayne, that would be fun! I ended up purchasing the AE Album and Page Protectors at the last minute so some are a different designs than the Simple Stories I used last year. I do have another album for that to use next year This is only my 2nd time doing a DD. I do know though that if I didn't get it done very close to December, I wouldn't finish it. I'm bad that way .... I'm trying to catch up now ... I finished up some more pages in my DD last night... working on more this evening
I "like" all your posts but am very confused as to why they look like they do. I'm still as busy as ever at work and now with year end, it will get busier until taxes are done.
It's been a Blessed and Wonderful Day here at the Norris House! Hope all of you had a delightful time. I had some time to work on a couple more Dec Daily Pages.
Now ... I'm out of photos but no fear, there's a "sale" for printing! YAY! I've just placed my Christmas order to pick up tomorrow.
We have a (professional) "Family Photo Session" at 1pm and then the boys are all headed home :-| They all have to be back to work on Thursday. I'm off until next Wednesday so I'm thinking there needs to be a Scrap Office Re-Org ... at least my photo organization needs major upgrade, it's a mess right now.

Had a lovely day with my son and his GF.. i made prime rib...potatoes ...salad.. carrot cake for dessrt. We all ate too much. Leftovers left with my son.

Hi everyone. Sounds like you all had a nice Christmas (at least, those who have posted so far), so hope you're enjoying the last few days of 2018! I've been super busy this month with my nephew's college graduation, visit from my sister and her family, and then a family reunion for Christmas in Las Vegas. Got home last night and we crashed early, so today I'm feeling refreshed and ready to scrapbook! Only 2 layouts so far this month, so I hope to crank out several more before the year ends. Any one else?

I signed up for the 2018 FIT Class and did (2) months :neutral: however, I did have a good "self care" year better than normal so ... I would like to document but I need to figure out a different method ...

I've done only 4 (regular) layouts this month as well, I've been busy on my December Album. I'm on Day 21 and I'm working on 22-28 tonight/tomorrow so I should be caught up prior to our trip this weekend. I plan to finish it up next week so it's done .... this is only my 2nd one but it feels like an "in the moment" thing for me. I'm just not good at mini-albums, I seem to lose interest ....

I joined up fit 2019 and got excited by all the files but my brain just went...huh???? It has been 2 m9nths now that i have been caring for my friends husband. By the time i am home i need to just go sit for an hour. Then i need to figure out what i need to do for me. So looking at all those files and trying to work out dimensions .... eekk
Eventually i just went old school! I printed out on paper... i took scissors ... i cut down the 3x4 cards into something that fit spots in my planner! Yup! Old school. I am going to leave them like that through January ...review at the end of the month and make them into stickers. Can i do that no
I needed something to remind me to do self care. I did not want to add to my sons busy life. I did not want to do another album. My sons GF has been having fun ordering me stickers from China for my planner. Etsy has some stickers that work too. So hopefully the monthly reminder will help

oh cool! I love that you "made it work". I try to do *reminders in my planner as well, it's an easier spot for them. I just use stickers as well ...
I think it's wonderful that you are still caring for your friend by helping her DH! That commitment though can take "a lot out of you", which does limit time for self care. This is probably a GREAT Reminder.
Having a separate Wellness Journal just didn't work for me but I do like the pages I add to my planner

Lynn, I was so happy to read that you were doing something for yourself as I know how much time and effort you have put into your friend's hubby....maybe I should rephrase that LOL. Seriously, you have given a lot of yourself and it is good to hear that you have realised that you need time out for you. Enjoy it all and doing what works for you is good.
Lela, I have done craft with our poppets the past week and that has been all. I have been on lots of sites watching videos and AE's December Daily....gosh I love her albums. I also have been doing online shopping for stickers and embellishments that were so cheap at Studio Calico. Do I need more....no, but they were too cute and cheap to pass by LOL. ;)
Cheryl, Xmas day was a bit disjointed this end. We had 2 drop out as they were sick and those that came, all arrived at different times with some hungry to eat lunch, others too full from Xmas brekkie and others thinking they were coming for dinner. ;):neutral: What chaos but it was happy chaos and by dessert we were all on the same page and the men and boys all played darts outside. The flies seemed to be happy :rolleyes: and I spent the evening and part of Boxing Day getting the house back into order. Since then we haven't done much and watched movies and chilled and are still eating leftover ham...lots more to go ;) Yesterday the poppets came over and we did some craft and had fun. I also got back into every week routine and played golf.
Nothing much else happening this end. We shall have a quiet NY Eve which we seem to do these days and have invited the kids over for lunch on NY Day but not sure who will turn up. Then it's just routine and getting on top of decluttering here. That's my goal for 2019 and less online time....;) Not sure how I will go with the 2nd goal but I will try.
Weatherwise...it's beautiful today and we walked the beach path earlier. It's been 49 degrees at the top our State....eek....I can't imagine how people survive up there.

As for the like button....I had already liked everyone's post before I even opened the thread LOL. I have come to the conclusion that once I like something it populates down to every post...that's my thoughts and whoever is working behind the scenes to fix it has their work cut out. I don't mind. It saves me pressing the button LOL.

well, today was another fun and relaxing day at home ... I worked on my Dec Album. I'm up to the 24th ... I can't find the photos I need for that day but 25th and 26th are laid out ready so I think I'll still meet my goal to have this finished by next weekend.
I'm going to post our January thread early as I'll be away from home 12/31 and 01/01 so I want to be sure to have the thread ready ...

Jayne, I agree with you about the "Like" button populating. I think that's why the list of likes gets longer as you move down the thread. So I am committing to not like anything until they get this fixed - LOL!
Anyway, I told my hubby yesterday that, unless something comes up that urgently needs attention, I am going to scrapbook like crazy until the kids go back to school. Seems like their breaks are the only time I'm not so overwhelmed with homework and school stuff that I actually have some mojo going! My sweetie agreed, so I finished two more layouts. Woohoo!
