Well...I have 1 day to finish 17 pages...not sure I'm going to make it? I do have some pages 1/2 done that I could complete and that's probably the only way to make my 2011 goal. I'm leaving Tuesday to visit family
OMgosh it is 4 am will I ever be able to sleep again...........I hate nights like this and they are happening much to often. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a good nights rest.......(lol)

Scrapbook goal: April 7/10 MAY /5 YTD 32
OMgosh it is 4 am will I ever be able to sleep again...........I hate nights like this and they are happening much to often. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a good nights rest.......(lol)
I have a lot of nights like that! Last night I could not sleep, so at midnight I was working the Jumble and finally read the comics. Then a little after one, I finally got to sleep!
I hope everyone had a great Christmas! We are still looking forward to our DD and family coming. Then we get to celebrate again!
Wow, I had not realized how long it had been since I checked in or have worked on any pages for that matter. The holiday rush caught me up with cooking, game playing, family visits, eating, cooking, madness of last minute shopping,..... now that everyone is sleeping in with no special plans for the day (I am NOT going out for the after Christmas shopping specials) I have time to see what has been going on with everyone.
I do hope everyone is on the mend for all the funk going round. It is never fun being sick but especially around Christmas. Time to take it easy for a few days before the end of the year. New Years Eve will be a quiet time for me, DH and I gave up on that crazyness years ago....... now we just enjoy football (him) while I scrap!!
I wish some nights that I had trouble sleeping.........I aways figure it would give me more time to scrap. In reality too many nights without the sleep you need is just not good either.
My latest one has been sitting on my desk for the last week.........still with the same amount of work done on it. I did get the rest of my studio cleaned, which impressed my family but that only lasted a couple of days then I started making cards again. I am ready to get back at scrapping, at least to finish the page I started.
Only one time did I make a scrap book as a gift, but I had the whole year to work on it (a 2 to 4 page layout for each month of my DGD's first year), then it was a very small book, something like 6x8 inches. It also had no time line for completion. No pressure to finish other than it being a surprise to the recipient, which works best for me because I wanted to stick with the project in order to be able to present it.
Wow, that was 10 years ago, I will have to take a look at the book again soon just to see how my scarpping style has changed over the years and to just look at the pictures (and page layouts) again.
What did you get scrap book wise, for Christmas??
I got used childrens picture books I had requested and an old dictionary that I can cut, tear apart to use on layouts. My new DIL found a couple of really good picture books that I can hardly wait to start using!!

Oh my goodness! Sharon, you sound like me. I didn't know there was a key that wouldn't let the wireless work on my laptop! Apparantly there is. Because for several days I could not get online, and everything was working. Then I hit this key by accident and was able to get back online! I never even knew that key was there, and I must have hit it by mistake once!
DSIL is coming in a couple of days, and he can help me with all my computer inquiries! He is the one that went with me when I shopped for it in May. He and DGS can help me with all my questions when they come!
Hi. DH (since I didn`t give him a specific item to buy me for Christmas) always gets electronic gadgets. Like the year he got me a dvr player...it`s still attached to the tv but I've never been able to figure how to make it work but it does record even though I have not ever set it up! That was about 3 or 4 yrs ago! This yr he got an ASUS tablet with the reasoning that I should not take my computer to Philadelphia. I can take this instead. What he doesn't realise is that I was planning on scrapbooking while I had to be there so I need my computer! The guy at Office Max said that this works off Android, not Windows. OK..now I'm lost. Just means I can't do scrapping with the tablet, thereby defeating the purpose. This is cute but I think just one more gadget to collect dust; however DGS seems to love this thing to play Angry Birds. He was even showing me how to operate it!
I did it! I made my 2011 Goal ... whew, it took a marathon but I finished. This morning I pulled out all of the 1/2 done scrap pages I had and worked all day on finishing them. I did one 2page layout and the rest I had the photos on the pages, just didn't have titles, embellishments or journaling!
LOL, that is too funny Terry but I know what you mean about electronics. My DGK's would love a ASUS or any other device just so they could play angry birds.
Fortunately for me I have a couple of electronic specialist's here (during holiday only) that can get me back on the right track. My computer screen has been tweaked (brighter with more realistic coloring) now I should be able to edit my cards and scrap pages better before I post them.
I did work for a time on "that page" still sitting on my work table, then people (family) started showing up again and the day got busy but I did manage to get at least one good photo of my grandchildren together in front of the Christmas tree, as the years go by that feat if getting harder and harder to have them together.

Congrats to all of you who have made your goals or are close. I've done some pages too, but don't think I'll meet my Dec. goal, which is OK since I met my yearly goal a few months ago.
I have been busy completing the hardcover Shutterfly photobook I've been working on all year for my son and his family from their trips to Disneyland. I didn't get it done in time to order it so I could give it to them for Christmas Day, but it's ordered now (I ordered it Christmas Day--the last day I could use the $20 coupon that came in my Photoshop Elements 10 box, phew!!) and should be here in plenty of time to present it to the family on my DIL's birthday on the 17th of January.
I'm sitting on pins and needles waiting to see how it turned out since it's the first photobook I've had printed and I know there are some potential little issues with cut off edges if the pages aren't entered just right. I wound up with over 40 digi pages in the book. I'll let you know how it turns out.
I was lucky that my son is an IT administrator and loves it when I ask for techie gifts, so I was the lucky recipient of a Kindle Fire (yay!) from him and his family (it was a combo gift since they didn't give me anything for my bday since DH & I were in Disney World.) Been having fun with it.

Congratulations to all of you for making your scrapping goal...WAY TO GO!! I'm so far behind that I'll start again for the new year :-) I still have my mom's album to finish and that wasn't even a big project :-( It sounds like you all had a wonderful Christmas and we did too. DH 'gave' me a photo shop 10 (ok, I picked it up ;-)) but he did get me a Nook Tablet that I'm loving. I had the original Nook but wanted a larger i-touch type gizmo so we gave my original Nook to DD1 and I upgraded to the Tablet. DD1 is not a reader but she actually requested 3 books for Christmas so we thought the Nook would help encourage her to read more...my brother even got them Nook gift cards, so here's hoping! :-) I still need to update my computers with PSE10 but that most likely won't happen for a few more days yet, just so busy (& nothing fun either :-().

It's called VACATION and mostly it was 1/2 done pages I just finished. I have LOTS of pages with picts and papers all stuck together but they don't have journaling, titles and embellishments. :o It's crazy!

I can SO relate to this ... I had WAY more 1/2 done pages than I realized and I don't count them toward my goal until they're done. I'm like you Sharon, now that I've pulled them out and they're in a pile ...ugh! I need to finish more ;)

Sarah Elizabeth sure is a CUTIE! I plan to take LOTS of picts while I'm with her because my Sis is not good with sending pictures and so I'll probably not have any for awhile...
I'm gonna have to get out PINK Paper Gals because I finally have a GIRL to scrap ;) YAY!

You're gonna love scrappin' those girl pics, although I have to admit, with all the girl pages I do, when I do a boy page, it takes me a bit to get into the swing of things. Congrats on the arrival of Sarah!

hello ladies! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and are enjoying the holidays! I've read this page of the thread, and all the sweet comments on my calendar pages, you guys made my day! (especially when Mary Pat pointed out how silly my daughter was to wear a long wig when her real hair is nearly as long and way prettier!) The calendars were a huge hit for both of our parents, btw.
I am only 10 away from my yearly goal and not sure if I can even try to accomplish it, LOL! I have plenty of motivation, but no time! Rats. Maybe with the new year I'll do better about balancing my time....
Anyway, I just wanted to check in for probably the last time in 2011! See you on the other side!

2024 Scrapping Goals: May: 13/20; April:11; 2024: 59/125
This is probably my last page for 2011, Yea & boo but I am looking foreward to 2012 with a new goal. My first project will be finishing all those 1/2 done pages. Not only will it make me happy to finish them but it should give me a jump start on my pages in 2012.
Not a very complicated page but I have commitment issues, it take me days to glue anything down. I am not going to put much of my journaling on my pages until after I post pictures of them. Titles are one thing but personal info about family will not be done till later.
Happy New Year to all. Seems we are not going anywhere tonight but DGS is determined to stay up till midnight...we'll see I can do it but can he???? He says he'll play his DS and that'll keep him awake. Usually by 10-10:30 he conks out so we'll see! All the goals start again tomorrow...can't wait. I'm not sure I'll remember how to use my photoshop program anymore!
You can bet I'm getting in LOTS of snuggling time before I have to leave tomorrow. She's SO Sweet! I have enjoyed FL afternoons outside though (Mary Pat) as we sure don't have 70 plus in Ohio right now. I will miss the sunshine as well...

I'm happy to say I did not reach my scrapping goal, because I have been so busy enjoying family and friends. December turned out to be a super busy super fun month filled with lots of great times. I have a few gift albums that are still a work in progress and I'm okay with that. Yay! for Happy ending to a loooong 2011!
Looking forward to 2012!
