Can you believe this is our 3rd year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 & 2010 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2011! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to see everyone's goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2011! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person will post what their scrapbook page goal is for February. We will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month. Along with the scrapbook page goal for this month, if you'd like to play along with the "Using Stash Crew" decide what your scrapping budget will be for that month.
*In this thread, we'll track how we do for the month. Look HERE to share and track your Annual Goals. *
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done, use more in our stash before buying new (well at least keep track) and if you want to play along w/ saving --- save $$ at the same time which becomes scrapping budget $ for next year -- or vacation money or Holiday fund!
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2011 Scrapbook Challenge! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!
(Pssst...in case you're interested in the "history", here's the thread that started it all 4 years ago...
We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "sbc11dec"

I'm SURE you will all agree that we need to go back and add in our focus on our scrapping budgets! It's a good time of the year to start as we'll all want some goals or resolutions to use more of what we have. Some of us have been using the "budget" idea since we started, others not so much. There are several ways to do this:
1. Set a $$ spending budget for the month & track your expenditures against budget set.
2. Match your scrapbook/stamping spending by putting the same amount away in savings that you spend on scrapbook/stamp stuff. This gives you extra $$ for either more scrap/stamp spending or something fun
3. Set a "Scrap to Spend" page goal. Come up with a goal to complete before you spend more $$ (for instance, "complete 25 pages before spending"
4. Do a combination or all of them!
Many times scrapping and stamping supply purchases are "impulse" buys. We want to encourage not only LOTS of Pages completed but creative, productive use of our STASH. Let's see if together we can be "CREATORS" and not just "COLLECTORS". (Thanks MP )
You do NOT have to set a budget to play along with Scrappin' Goal Challenge. This is only for those of us who would like to play
I will post our Scrap Budgets here...let's see if we can band together and encourage everybody to keep on goal

I was blog browsing tonight and found a Black Friday Blogtrain that had about 12 small freebies that are Disney related. Not sure how long they will be valid so I thought I'd pass it along in case anyone wants to download!
giggle! it went out the window when I looked at my Dec. calendar of events tonight! Wowzers! It looks like we have a banquet, dinner party or family gathering every weekend in December. Don't get me wrong I love it all but it doesn't leave much room for crafting! LOL! My family actually expects me to cook dinner and spend time with them on week nights! Can you believe that?! hahahaha J/k!
I think I'll set my goal for December at 10. That will leave me behind by 50 ugh! Oh well, at least I'm not behind by 104! haha

Happy Holidays.
Okay, so no way am I going to make 365 this year. I am okay with that because this year has been a roller coaster ride for me. Scrapping had to be on the back burner a lot. Counting I finished only 68 lo's thus far. My goal for December of 100 is made up of all the gift albums I am working on that will have to be completed starting with two friends who's birthdays are this Sat. I am making 4 12x12 20 page albums and also doing a 25 days of Christmas album.

Before the challenge I need to tell the story of how this challenge came about...the other day my sister my DH and I were having a conversation and they (like always) were teasing me. As the conversation went on my sister said something then looked at my DH and said watch here it comes..well I stopped in mid reply and said here what comes and they both laughed as my sister said the finger.....seems I have a habit of pointing that I am not aware of. They said you always do that and I of course said I didn't well we found some pics and it sure seems like a lot of finger pointing going on......lol
So the challenge is to scrap a page about a habit you have that you may not even be aware of maybe you hum, maybe you grit your teeth or roll your eyes whatever that habit it tells us about it.
Use 2 different DP some chipboard and journal about your habit.
Don't forget your keyword: ThursFS1201 and SBC11DEC
I surpassed my goal for the year. I had originally set it for 60. Then I upped it to 100.
Well, I did 9 pages in Nov. (I had a goal of 5). So now I have 110 pages dones of a 100 goal. So I am going to try to double my original goal, and shoot for 120, unofficially. LOL. So my goal for December is 10.
Easy way to put it for you Lela: year goal:100
Done:110
Dec goal: 10
Thanks agian for your help, and everyone else's to accomplish what I have this year! I know I wouldn't have done it without this thread and all of you!

Great one! I don't know if I have any photos of it though. My dh always teases me about crinkling up my nose! He goes: "What was that?" and then he crinkles his nose back at me! I don't know I do it.
HAHHAHA Valerie, I know so close but so far, who knew 2 hours would seem like forever. sans children no big deal, with, agony!!

Maybe you can just make a page mostly of journaling and a pic of a nose or something... maybe pics of the 2 of you laughing and relate the nose crinkling to them.......hope you can play!

OMG! That is toooooo funny!!! I'd be afraid to ask what my habits are...but maybe I'll do DH or one of the kids when I get time to scrap. :-) I need to start a notebook of challenges I want to do, I think that will be my resolution for next year with scrapping. This is a great challenge!
Happy Holidays.

Yikes! Your monthly goal is about my yearly goal! YOU GO TAM!!!
I can't believe December is here...well, I guess I can because I'm feeling overwhelmed ;-) I've had some kind of allergy going crazy on me and haven't slept well at all...it's either the winds blowing 'gunk' or our new puppy (hope it's the wind/season).
I've been moving slower than molasses lately so I'm already behind on my 'to do' list. Tonight I hope to take down the fall decorations and start putting up the Christmas. I got some shopping done today (dd2 has a bday party tomorrow so had to get the gift). Tomorrow I help drive the girls from the party to a skating rink so my day will be cut short. I need to pick up dd2's gift tomorrow on the other side of town so I may as well go shopping at that mall for most of the rest of my list. I need to get our Mother/Daughter Cookie Exchange invitations done this weekend & the girls photo. Then all invites & Christmas cards in the mail on Monday. If I can get all this done then I'll be on track next week for wrapping gifts and hopefully I can squeeze a page or two in before I need to start preparing for our party on the 18th. Heeeeeere's hoping! ;-)
I am glad to see a few people that need to catch up on their pages for the year, I don't feel so lonely. I'll see what I can do to catch a few challenges this month.

Don't forget Divine Digital--Royanna posted a huge freebie today and it looks like the kit for the 1st half of the month is gonna be fun. As you know, Terry, there's a new download each day, but they're only available for the one day.

Thanks for all these links ladies.... I bought Photoshop Elements 10 last week for $49 on Amazon and it arrived yesterday so I"m starting to play. (better deal was that it only cost me $10 out of pocket with my swagbuck gift cards) It came with $20 to shutterfly too, so I'm anxious to get some pages done and then printed. (I think I have about $50 of other shutterfly gift cards around here too....better get busy!)

Wow! What a super price to pay for it...way to go!
Thanks for the reminder on Divine Digital Wendy. I had been getting the dailys for a bit but didn't really care for the one at the end of November. A while ago I had seen that they were going to do a progressive scrap challenge for December and it was started yesterday. I'd really like to see where this leads as I've looked to see how one is done traditionally and couldn't picture it for digi. I just can't picture how this page will look when all the steps have been completed since all she started out with this week was 2 papers and stitching. Should be interesting!
I know the digi challenges here are supposed to be started up again in the new year and wondered if this was something that could be incorporated with SCS? I can do pages...I'm just not creative enough to think up things on a regular basis to host challenges.
