Well, another item checked off my vacation list "before the boys get home". I just spend 2.5 hours bringing up Photoshop files, flattening them and resaving them as JPEGs. Then I uploaded all 36 files to Persnickety and figured out how to order them so I'm excited as I've got them all being printed finally. I really think I've got more so I need to find the external hard drives and see what I've saved on them...just might have to do this again soon
I finally got some photos developed at Costco, and my hubby is taking the kids to the beach, so I have some scrapping time today! Gonna try to use both sketches I posted this month. Here's the latest one: Sketch15Aug3.

Yay for you, Terry! I need to do that myself. I think I have about 100 12x12 print credits to use up and I've been putting it off long enough!
Getting the pages ready to print went quicker than I thought it would and I just got an email saying they've been mailed already! Just did it last night! Once I get the shipment and check them out to see what they look like, I'll do the rest that I found. I still have about 60 credits to use up.
Well, like I figured, the boys arrived home today around 4 pm (a day early). Rufus was overexcited to see them and I'm so glad they got home safe and sound and that they had a good time this week....they just didn't give me enough time to complete what I needed to get done and poor hubby went to bed at 7 since he didn't have to stay up and wait until DGS went to bed He said he's exhausted trying to keep up with the 11 yo. Now he knows how I feel on a daily basis...lol! My week of relaxation is officially over!
whew ... after 7 days in Texas, although a great work week, I'm super glad to be home... HOME! Which means I'm on VACATION for a week before I head back out traveling again.
I will be unpacking my CKC bag and looking forward to playing this afternoon w/ all of the fun stuff, plus the new CTMH Cricut cartridge I ordered. I also have several page layout ideas I've saved for challenges I hope to get done but first ... off to check out the gallery which looks to have some awesome August pages already :o
Hello Sunday and yay for scrapping!

Well, Terry, I'm sure you are excited to see the pages when they arrive! How cool.
Glad your boy is home safe, even if you officially have no more free time - lol.
And Lela, what a traveling lady you are!! Hope you find some time to play.
I have just posted two pages for the new sketch and the 3rd stash buster challenges.
I'm getting there on my goal for the month.

Many of you have sent messages or texted asking me if I was okay because I haven't posted much here or on Facebook during the past couple of weeks and my reply was very quick and reassuring that "Yes, I was fine, just needed to take a step back for some heavy soul searching and prayer and I would explain later"
Well.... I can now explain... I have been called to serve as the new Relief Society President of our Branch.
My heart is very full and as I humbly stood and shared my testimony on Sunday to a very supportive small group of friends I felt the love of my Savior envelop my heart with all the blessings and wisdom that I will need to take up this mantle and help to bring others to Christ. I have a firm testimony of the power of prayer and I know that if we seek out the Lord's council and help, we can get through anything.
For a little bit of Inspiration I would like to share with all of you what has become one of my all time favorite photos... I have a small west facing window that overlooks my bed, so each night when I kneel to close my day with prayer, my view of heaven changes on a daily basis. This past week, as I found myself kneeling there a lot, I could not help but feel the love of the Savior as my eyes beheld the beauty of the setting sun on a daily basis. I marvel in the simpleness of the gospel, line upon line, precept upon precept, as we turn our hearts to Christ how simply we are blessed!
That's wonderful news Anavon. This might even be a journey that you can scrap about that will give inspiration to future generations of your family.
Lela...looking forward to what you scrap about CKC and Lancaster.
I received my pack of scrap pages today from Persnickety...oh man...it is SO cool to see the 12x12 size in person and not just on the screen. Now I know what I did to send them to be printed has worked and I'm working on uploading the next BIG batch of them. I'll have to buy sleeves and then try to organize them by dates in order to put them in books. Now I know what I can spend that 40% off coupon at AC Moore for
Oh my I haven't gotten hardly anything done this month. I finished a dps and have 2 more dps in progress, so I'm hoping to get those both done today and maybe Cheryl's new sketch challenge.
Send me your scrapbooking mojo vibes if you have any to spare!!!
Xx

Well I finally put together 2 layouts from a kit I bought at CKC Lancaster. I have the photos selected but can't upload them to CVS because they've had some type of fraud on their site so it's shut down. After I uploaded them I noticed that I need to add a little adhesive in a few places!

Me three! I can't seem to find any time! I've packed up both our girls and moved them in to their new digs at college. I think we traveled close to 1500 miles over the past few days!
I've also been dealing with our dear old dog...he's 13 years old and started having seizures last month! (the second hardest thing I've ever witnessed)! We're thinking its his thyroid but still running tests.
I've got stash busters on my desk, but had to run out of town yesterday (all day adventures, whew!) for business with my DH. I hope to get it posted today, but right now, I have to go pick up my dog from a two day night stay at the vets! If for some reason I can't get it posted today, I think I'll save it for next week.

I'm sad but glad at the same time. My DGD (Tiny Tot's mother) is experiencing severe morning sickness. She hadn't kept anything down for two weeks, lost a lot of weight, and doctor was threatening to put her on an IV. That would mean going into the hospital. She asked if I would come up to her. I was delighted she wanted me! Of course I packed that night and drove up the next day, spent one night on the road.
This scrapbook page is of photos I took the first evening. I packed my Lea France stencils, a pad of white and a pack of Sahara Sand. Leia likes to trace lines on a sheet with the stencil, so I knew she would be entertained at the table with me.
This layout is plain since I packed nothing but the inks for embellishments - impossible to pack any really, not knowing what or if I would make a page. I like the way it turned out and had to share. A Little Pool Time by AnniePanda - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

I can't believe summer is almost over! DGS started back to school on Wednesday and I got my first experience of going to work before 7:30 a.m. Wow! I think that time of morning is more dangerous driving on the highway than 8:30 a.m! What a zoo!
I ordered 59 more pages from Persnickety Prints on Friday which are now on their way to me. I think I officially have all my digi pages from the last several years printed now. I have used up all my credits so if anyone see another "sale" on 12x12 pages, let me know. In going through the files, I did find quite a few pages that have been started so I've got things to work on again. And I started going through a box of DGS' daycare for 2007! Oh my...what a treat to see his artwork. Too Funny! I am going to lay them out and take pics of groups of them (certain themes...like dinosaurs and pancakes..lol) I see some pretty cute layouts in the future with these pics.

So um...it's the 31st and I haven't even checked in??? Wow.... Well, yesterday my kids pulled out scrapbooks and I was feeling guilty at all the missed pages (the completed pages are in order in the albums...but there are huge gaps) and suddenly my son noticed! That motivated me to pull out the printed photos for his books and get to work! I stopped at 10 pages last night, which is all I've done for the month, haha! And I scrapped Christmas 2010....so yeah, I was behind!
I did use two Stashbusters Challenges, and two of Cheryl's sketches from this summer so that was helpful. And I mostly stuck with the same supplies too.
I just uploaded them but here are the links, twelve hours before the month officially ends!
