I have been hijacked this week by my grand kids. The GK's from Alabama are on spring break this week, they called on Saturday to ask if they could send the week with us. Like Brooke said "Grandma always lets us stay!" No scrapping for me this week but I do have new pictures once I start back up. Seems like when my mojo gets interrupted it quits. Oh well, I have more than met my goal for the month and have a 4 day crop next week. I will have to think of what to post for a goal, find out what the Thur challenge is for this week, visit the gallery again to leave a little love, then make sure I am ready for the crop next week,

First let me say I am sorry that the Thursday challenge is late......:(
Long story.....my dad fell, had an injury, had to have therapy and I had to go up there for the last of it and get all the at home stuff taken care of. Best news is that he is fine and doing great injury almost forgotten.
Bad news is that I have been trying for over 2 hours to get the challenge uploaded and it will not let me upload. So know that it is ready and waiting for the minute I can upload.....
So sorry to hear that your dad fell but glad to hear he's going to be OK. It's so fortunate you are able to help out the way you do.

I went over to Divine Digital to check out today's daily download and discovered that the designed "Optic Illusions" is having a scavenger hunt and the first 5 to find the picture posted in her shop won a kit along with a $3 coupon.....I was #3. Very pretty kit. Would be great for vintage pages or weddings or girly pages.....Just at the right place at the right time!
How wonderful, it does pay to be in the right place at the right time. Be sure to let us know that you used the kit when you post the pages you make Terry. I am always interested in what people do with things they win, or recieve as gifts because it is not always something we would choose for ourselves.
I will. It's a really pretty kit...that's why I decided to try to win it and while looking thru the designer's shop, I found a few other things that I really liked so since I won another coupon in the 2nd round, I've got $6 to spend as well. I really only like the things that seem true or "real". I don't go for the whimsical designs so much and a lot of designers go that route with some pretty wild color combos!

Hi Ladies! Checking in from my weekend retreat...finished 2 pages so far...just been taking it slow and catching up with some ladies that I have not seen in a year! Now, I need to work on our honeymoon/beach pictures. Hard to believe that trip was a year ago!!! Anyway, headed to bed so I can get an early start in the morning!

Good Morning...Wow! Talk about a blast from the past. Since my DD is coming from Colorado next month, I was moving boxes around from one room to another and looked in a filing cabinet that I haven't looked in for probably 5 yrs or more. I found a folder of old newspaper clippings so of course I had to go thru them. I found clippings from when I had been in a spelling bee in 6th grade and 8th grade! Also the complete 11/26/1982 newspaper from the day my DD was born. Found tons of things about people I don't even remember anymore as to why I would have saved them lol My 35th class reunion is being held this year so I'll have to see what I can do with some of the articles I've found. Should be interesting! I'll have to ask my DD if she wants the articles I found on her dad from his work before I ask him if he wants them.
Quite interesting the things you find that you forget you have in the first place!
Hi ladies! How did all of the weekend retreat ladies do? I got 16 pages finished! Not as many as I would have liked BUT it was better than the big NOTHING that I have been doing lately! LOL...Anyway, I am hoping that I keep the mojo going...have just been so exhausted when I get home in the evenings since I started the new job...this week I finish training (6 full weeks worth) and start my regular schedule...
Lynley - your DD is beautiful!

Hi Lynley...it's good to hear from you and those are ADORABLE pictures! So cute!
Wow Rebekah...16 pages...that's GREAT! Way to go!
I've been trying to learn extractions in Photoshop where you take parts of a picture and move it to a different background. I happened across a tutorial I must have downloaded quite a while ago so I tried it out tonight...check this out. The first picture was taken inside, the 2nd outside so the lighting needed to be adjusted somehow and I wasn't sure how to do that so, to me, it still looks fake but it's still a pretty cool technique!
OMG, Lynley -- 14 months? I can't believe it! DD is SO adorable--and what fun pics! It's good to "see" you! I still think of you often--especially every time I'm over by my sister's near 36th St & Oak. I'm sure your life is so very full. It's nice that you can find a minute to say hi occasionally!

Terry--your extraction work turned out great! I think only you would know you did the extraction--I couldn't tell at all! Nice job!

Congrats! Optic Illusions has some nice kits. I have several of them. Enjoy, Terry!
I had a great time over the weekend at my retreat. I got 20 pages done! Woooo! Whooo! I hope to get 4 more done today to finish up my album I'm currently working on. That would put me over my goal
