Hi all... <waving to Jackie and a few other familiar faces> I just registered here tonight, just for the Verve party! I think I am going to have to take the plunge tonight after oogling Verve stamps for the last few months! :cool:
OHHHH!! Cool!! Another "crafty math chick", hehe! When my usual screen name of "scrappydeb" was taken here, I almost used "mathfreak", lol! I teach math p/t at a local branch campus of Penn State University!

We just finished a 6 hour road trip to see my in-laws up in Minnesota - just quickly escaped to say hi!!! Everyone's samples this week were amazing! Andrea - you so rocked out so much gorgeousness girl! Here are a couple of cards - one using the PJ and one with the Munchkin Phrases

Hey Maureen We went right after school so it wasn't bad at all. Even got a seat in the food court! Busy weekend with soccer, pumpkin carving etc. so had to go today. Bonus: Got Ken Follet's new book for myself as a gift from some unsuspecting family member LOL!
Glad to hear the pumpkin patch adventure was rain free. We stopped into a local farmer who had a HUGE pumpkin field and very reasonably priced pumpkins on our way out to Costco so we are set for the weekend.
perfect...I have been so lucky with my field trips over the years that I think I have it in good with the Man upstairs...or at least His mom ;)

Oh you lucky gal - that sounds like fun! No teaching jobs here, they laid off 100 teachers in our county at the end of last year.

UGH... sorry to hear that! :( I don't know if "fun" is the right word... difficult students who aren't very motivated, and very low pay. BUT... it keeps my "foot in the door" as they say, and it fits our family well right now (I like that I can put my boys on the bus in the morning, and be there when they get home ). So it's perfect... for now! ;)
I was thinking about seeing that movie, love a bit of brucie action, it makes me laugh!!!
Brucie is great and so is Morgan and Ernest and...everyone! You gotta watch out for those senior citizens - lol!

UGH... sorry to hear that! :( I don't know if "fun" is the right word... difficult students who aren't very motivated, and very low pay. Low pay for teaching COLLEGE?!! This is discouraging...
We will be PCSing to PA next summer - do you know if the job market is better for teachers in your state?
Is Mr. Verve going to be in the house tonite? Can't be a Verve party with out him!
