Hope everyone in the States had a great 4th of July! We got to see Julee's brother and his wife who drove up from California. So we went to a big family gathering on Julee's side for lunch, came home for dinner, and then went out to my parents' house to watch some fireworks.
Sounds wonderful. We live minutes from Busch Gardens and have passes. So my 6 year old got to go on two big-boy roller coasters for the first time, and we stayed for their spectacular fireworks show that night.
Here's another one with small phrases from me. And in case you missed the first card (it was there, just took a minute to show up for some crazy reason?), I'll attach that one again too.
Gorgeous! I'm loving all your mixed media style cards lately, Julee.

WOAH!!! Julee, these are UH-Mazing!! Love the fun turquoise card (you had me at the polka dot ribbon)! And the brown yummy card is absolutely Arsty-licious!!! Wow!
I use the Pearl Pen by Viva Decor. I find that the formula allows you to make more uniform dots as opposed to the classic Liquid Pearls by Ranger. It seems that the Ranger Liquid Pearls drop leaving a point at the top whereas the Pearl Pen finishes more rounded.
Lovin' those cards, Julee. That leaf branch, are you going to show us that set next? You know, morning by morning new mercies I see? Can't wait for that one!!!

Julee, these are gorgeous! I'm loving your new mixed media cards, they are so special, just like your heart!

Wow.........Such a nice welcome! Love it. I haven't used Liquid Pearls yet, either.........Going to have to go to the LSS this week to see if they have them.
Would you suggest just a neutral to start with?
My first was White Opal, then I got Petal Pink for some color. I think a gold one is next (hopefully they make those!)
Julee- I have to tell you that I have sooooooooooo been enjoying your blog of late. Well I have always loved it but all your new tecniques and styles, oh my gosh, you always pull it off. And it has inspired me to try some new things- so thank you for that. Keep up the fab work there. (sorry, got a little mushy!)

Hi, Laurie!!! Are you out of the snow for a bit? ;)
Yeah, sounds like Katie (the cat) is currently tattling on me. Or making weird meowing sounds for no apparent reason.
Darn cats, they know how to get their way...just as hubby who got to stay home with the cat while kids and I went camping with friends. 5:30 a.m. wake up calls to be let out, sitting on bathroom counters for the tap to be turned on so he can drink cold running water versus bowl water, fighting for bed space at night...yup, there is a reason they call it catitude

Oh that's good to know... now to find out if Verve sells these pens or if I have to go to a LSS.

I didn't. I purchased one of every color. But now that I have them, I would recommend Bisque.
Yes, I like Bisque, too. And Buttercup (more yellowish...gives a pretty goldish look and perfect for flower centers). And then I like Rouge (a red) for drama.
I started with pink, blue, white and silver. I actually got hooked on them by seeing one of Julee's gorgeous pink and black cards using them. I had to go out right away and buy them. That was probably over a year and a half ago. I still to this day use them. Love 'em!
I'm totally hooked on liquid pearls. Actually I bought all the colors. And then when they reformulated them last year, I bought them all over again! LOL They're even better now - richer colors and they seem to lay down better (not so many peaks). A must have in my opinion!
