Challenge Title: Paper Piecing Party Hostess: MISTI Monday Keyword: MSP60 Date: September 5, 2022
Hello my friends and welcome September! I can hardly believe it's time for school, autumn and everything pumpkin...lol. My daughter, Sarah, loves pumpkin. She's an autumn goddess. She's now in the PhD program at a university and is teaching Creative Writing to the incoming freshman. She wants to become a professor and teach Shakespeare. Her passion. She's always been an avid reader and collector of books. During her undergrad she found that she had an aptitude rarely seen for theory of Shakespeare and other 19th century literature.
The scene in this card was built to capture her love of reading and her love of autumn, together. I used stamps from a past Unity Stamp Co monthly kit. They are going to take the pieces I used for this card and sell it in a smaller set. I stamped the chair onto a denim patterned background paper and cut it out. The pillows were also cut out on coordinating colors. I took a doily stamp and placed it on the background circle and then also stamped it onto the pillow for a matchy matchy touch.
Having trouble attaching a picture, so I had to attach a file with a picture of the card. Not sure why it's not working.
Your challenge this month is to create a card with your focal point paper pieced.
Good luck this month and thank you for playing along! Have a wonderful month and I hope you have fun with this challenge! This is a great way to use patterned paper you typically hoard.... saving for a special occasion.

Thank you mschoener. I did find it in the write up as a jpeg. What I was trying to flag is there is no link to the thumbnail. Same experience as you had. I guess I do know what I was talking about lovinpaper.

I do not get that error message, so I didn't know what you were talking about. Not trying to be rude. Anyway, I can press on the photo and it will open, just not get too large. She had trouble adding the photo so she had to add it as an attachment. I didn't notice anything about a link. There has been so much trouble linking things on the site, so I guess I just do not notice.
My prize for winning the September MISTI Challenge will arrive today via UPS. This card says how I feel: I am Tickled Pink! Thank you, Iliana, for a most generous prize. Here is a card using paper piecing: F4A655-Tickled Pink by parknslide at Splitcoaststampers
I just joined Splitcoast Stampers earlier this week and this is my first project to upload! I really wanted to join this challenge and am hoping to participate regularly. It's fun to try a new technique! I'm not sure how to include my link, but I used the keyword for the challenge, so my card should show up in the gallery.

Welcome! Your card is beautiful. I saw it in the gallery and the keyword is correct. I can press the keyword and pull up all of the cards that have been submitted to this challenge. I love looking at all of them at one time as they are so pretty.
September has gone...it was a wonderful month but I did not make any cards until this past weekend...
What I did do in September was spend my gift card from this summer when I won!!!! I decided I wanted the large MISTI, I had to find a place for it to set...and I did...and now I'm not sure how I will use it because the stamping area that I have isn't large enough!!!!
Oh what a problem to have...
Thanks MISTI Monday for the challenges and it has been many years since I did a piecing on a card...looking forward to what is the October challenge when it gets posted.

Hi all, apologies. I got really sick yesterday with Covid. I feel awful. It's taking all I have to write this. The winner and new October post are rescheduled to next Monday. Thank you all! This is my first time getting it. It's really kicked me in the dupa.
MISTI Monday, thank you for the update, and I’m sorry you are sick! Know that Paxlovid is available, and can easily be sourced by making a phone call to your doctor’s office or a nearby pharmacy. It might help you heal faster. Best wishes.
