MISTI Monday January 2020 Challenge

My last card for this month! I have really enjoyed this challenge, with all of the pretty blue.

So, it was a struggle to finish my last three cards, take photos, and post & link them!

DH keeps us on a strict budget- and to him, restaurant food is food, and comes under the food budget, not entertainment. That said, in the 15 1/2 years we've been married, my food budget has gone up once. You see where I'm going with this- we don't eat out a lot.

Yesterday afternoon, he gets home from work and says "Let's eat out!" I squeal "No way- food budget is spent for the month" To which he replies "Not on the food budget". After I get over the shock, he says look up local restaurants where we haven't eaten (there are LOTS of those...). He chose to go to a very nice place where our bill came to almost $90. It was wonderful food, great service, and very atypical behavior for him, but boy, was it nice!

Going out to eat at a nice {leisurely} restaurant put a real cramp in me getting the last three cards finished, photographed, uploaded, and linked, but I managed just about in a dead heat with him climbing into bed. It was worth the scramble- that dinner was so good!

What great participation this month! I counted 22 of us posting cards, and there were 62 cards posted. That's a good turnout to start 2020 off creating! Kudos to Misti Monday for rounding up a terrific prize package to start the year! Thank you to the generous prize donors.
