Challenge Title: Foiled in February Hostess: MISTI Monday Keyword: MSP65 Date: February 6, 2023
Hello and welcome to February! It seems to be going so fast, already. I feel like Christmas was just 3 weeks ago and now Mardi Gras is soon upon us!
I unfortunately had the need to make a lot of sympathy cards during the past few weeks. My cousin died earlier last week and I made this card to send to his son and his family. I used a 3D embossing folder for the background and dies to create the floral arrangement. I used foiled paper for the outline portion of the die and for the petals I used the same paper as the card base. I layered the flowers on a base of vellum also. This card was inspired by the card shown on the packaging of the dies (Spellbinders).
I used my MISTI to stamp the sentiment on the front and the one inside. I just love how easy it is to stamp clean, crisp images with the MISTI's ability to stamp in the same exact spot more than once.
Your challenge this month is to use a foiled accent on your project. It can be foiled paper, foiling sheets, shiny embossing powder or even gilding flakes. I just love a pop of shine!
Good luck and thank you for joining in this month! Much love,
MISTI Monday

Long, long ago someone gave me a piece of foil. Now to find it. Its purple, that I do know! I will have to do the "fake" foiling with doublesided tape as I do not have a foil machine. Sorry to hear of another death in your family.

So sorry for your loss! Praying for God's peace and comfort in your time of grief.
Your card is so elegant and the embossed background is especially lovely with those floral dies.
