Welcome to another Mix challenge! I hope you all had a pleasant Easter. To tell the truth, I'm over those pastel colors! And the ironing...
I want to celebrate strong, bright, decadent color!
The stars look so beautiful and bright in the night sky. Why? Because they're against a black background. This week's challenge is to use embossing resist coupled with a little black magic to make it pop! Begin with white paper cut card-front size and apply bright colors. I used Stampin' Up! inks, but you could use Memento, Distress Inks, etc.
Stamp over the paper with a bold image using Versamark, then heat emboss clear powder.
Take a deep breath and cover the entire image with black archival ink. Cover it thoroughly.
Gently buff the black ink away with a dry cloth to reveal the beautiful colors!
Create your card and upload it for us to enjoy! Remember to use at least two or more different mediums on your project. See this post for some ideas of supplies you could use. Also make sure to put MIX222 in the keyword section.

Hmm, I think this is what I know as Joseph's Coat, and I've tried it several times over the years without ever being happy enough to make the resulting panel into a card. For you, I'll give it one more go!! And, I wonder, I've always used glossy card which is what the tutorial recommends, but I see you just used regular. Maybe that will make the difference I need to see.

Well, I might try once more if I use some very strong cardstock which will stand up to more buffing. Maybe my ep is too old, or my heat gun too hot or....
