Happy Mix-Ability day! It's March 17, and I wanted to give a nod to the holiday celebrated around the world today.................
Submarine Day!
Not what you were expecting? Heheee!! For this week's challenge, celebrate Submarine Day by using an underwater image on your project. Aaaaaand just for fun, make sure there's some green on your project as well.
Remember, for your project to truly qualify as mixed media, you need to use at least 2 different types of art media. You can click HEREfor a list of supplies you could choose from.
Please remember to put in the correct keyword (MIX216) when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos. Then come back to this thread and paste a link to the card in your gallery so we can all ooh and ahhh! Go forth and create!
Enjoying a holiday lie-in here , and will enjoy thinking about this fun challenge, Dina.
I love your card! One of the last creative art projects my dad made for me ( he more or less gave up after my mother died) was a pottery seahorse about 10 high; it's just that colour. I think he used shoe polishes to supplement his glazes ;-).
I made five backgrounds this morning - the cling wrap and failed ghosting are in my scraps box, the stamping with embossing folder using gelatos is waiting to make another card today (if I'm lucky), and the one I made taking a print from the cling wrap and more successful attempt at ghosting are here:
The hardest part about today's challenge was trying to get a decent pic - It's overcast this morning so the colors appear a bit "off" from the reality - This will have to do but may try again when I get home from work - Watch out for those "Yellow submarines"!Hree's my card:
MIX216: Dina this was a fun idea to use something under water today! I hope a fish bowl will work!
F4A369: Dawn this was a fun idea as well using flowers for Spring -- I know so many of us are looking forward to Spring flowers. Making a Splash!!

Great challenge Dina. Missed adding this on Friday due to a humongous toothache...still have it now but on meds, anyway a fun challenge and maybe my greens aren't sea worthy but they kept me from getting virtually pinched on Friday. ;)
I used the Canvas Panel Card tutorial that was a blast to do!
I know it's a month after the challenge... but I did make both the background panel and the fish on St Patrick's Day, but by the time I'd made two other cards for the challenge I ran out of steam before finishing it off. Finally got round to it thanks to the WT this week.
