Ready for a new Mix-Ability challenge?!! We hope you're having fun with these! Our goal is to make mixed media, easy, approachable and FUN! We want to convince you that no matter what your style is - you can DO it!
I'm filling in for sweet Trudy today - she's recovering from surgery, so let's make this week's gallery sparkle to cheer her up! She wants to see you create the effect of glitter under glass on your mixed media project.
Here are a few suggestions for doing this:
add glitter glue or Stickles to your project
use glittery paint, a glitter pen, or adhere glitter to your project, then cover it with a clear glossy medium such as Diamond Glaze, Glossy Accents, Crystal Lacquer, etc.
If you want to start these challenges in the pages of an art journal instead of a card, or on scrapbook pages, or on 3D items - please know - ANYTHING is welcome! We want you to learn and enjoy!
Please remember to put in the correct keyword (MIX16) when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos. Then come back to this thread and paste a link to the card in your gallery so we can all ooh and ahhh!
Thanks for the challenge, Dina...I never even thought of this as mixed media when I made these cards! LOL!
Here are my two cards: Glittery Popsicle Glittery Ice Cream
Fun challenge that was perfect for my late night stamping for a shower I leave for in the morning-I'll be back later to comment on the gallery. In the meantime here are my cards: Rebecca's Shower and Rebecca's Wedding

Bless you for your amazing inspiration - thank you for all that you put into this challenge. Not as much glitter as I'd originally imagined Dina, but here is my Forget Me Not card.

Here is my Glitter Under Glass entry. I think I forgot to add much for mixed media beside the usual way I make cards! Just too busy putting the crop in and am squeaking cards out in the spare minutes! G is for Girl
My take on the challenge. These are simple Stickles but this totally qualifies.
I did try another tag with layers of UTEE (ultra thick embossing powder) and glitter, and again, and again. But it didn't give the "glitter under glass" look I was hoping for.
