So sorry I'm late - I had this great idea and completely spaced!


But better late than never right?


This week you are going to datamine the tutorials section and play tutorial bingo. You will use three tutorial categories from the Bingo card, and they must be chosen from our tutorial section. Combine those techniques on your card, using two or more mediums and post your work in the gallery! The bingo card is attached.


To see all the tutorials in each category, just type the word from the bingo square into the search box to get all the tutorials you can choose from:


Watercolor
Faux
Distress
Emboss
Background
Coloring
Masking
Resist


Just type those single words to see all the goodness waiting for you in each square!


Have fun combining, and I can't wait to see what you do!

This sounds cool and you know I LOVE the resources section - but I'll have to see if I can carve out some extra time tomorrow. We're just about to watch the next instalment of a documentary on jazz, and my PC is our television/video/DVD substitute.

MIX234 Yay for Scraps

I don't usually "cheat" with challenges - but time pressures and all that....
I used nothing but scraps from my box with some die-cutting, but the scraps encompassed 5 different tutorials which I linked in my write-up. I didn't take time to verify that they fit your categories but they darn well ought to.

Mediums used - gelatos for the embossing folder stamping, Brushos for the birds and flowers, distress inks for the faux wood, glue and paint for the faux barn board.

I believe I covered backgrounds, colouring, faux, distress - and if the Brushos don't count as colouring then they count as watercolour ;-).


It was fun to think about, and I'd love to come back with more time. I can tell you, I would FAR rather have spent my day off yesterday rooting around the tutorials for inspiration than looking for a missing die which I eventually gave up on.

Wow, really creative challenge. Even choosing three keywords, it was difficult to choose which tutorial to use, but I absolutely loved it! Chose two techniques I had never tried before, but that I will definitely use again. Thanks for a great project idea!

Here's 2 LOs I made as part of the VSBN challenge. I love mixed media and am still learning and trying out different techniques. On these LOs I did distressing, colouring and embossing techniques. Hope it qualifies for this challenge.
