Default Mini Ink storage - tray inserts?

Hello everyone,
I am on mission organization. I have a question that I am hoping someone can answer....

You know the Tim Holtz tins that hold the mini distress inks? Well, I only want the plastic inserts, not the tins. Anyone know where I can find them? I really don't want to buy the whole tin just to get the plastic tray inside.

Thank you in advance!

I use these: Deluxe Bead Organizer 32 Compartment | Jo-Ann

Each container holds 30 ink cubes (not 32 as stated-there are two small spaces by the handle the cubes don't fit flat in). I am very happy with them.

I've seen those, Cinnestew, and would love a couple - if the lid was removable. Something that large with a hinged lid doesn't work well for me. I have to make sure I'm not knocking something over with the lid, or that it won't cover what I'm going to reach for, etc. I've done quite a bit of looking on line and in person. So far no go, so am using Tim's boxes and a pencil box.

You could always cut the lid of the plastic organizer if it would work for you otherwise. They cut off fairly easily with a pair of scissors.

Thanks, I had thought about that, but would like a lid to fit securely too. But if the perfect box isn't found, it's a definite possibility.

There was a hard plastic organizer at JoAnns that might work, but it was wrapped in plastic and I couldn't tell if it would be difficult or not to pry off the lid, and they said if it was opened it couldn't be returned.

Meanwhile, I have many of Tim's boxes. I don't mind them for Distress inks because each is labeled with the line number of his chart, along with colored dots of the inks. But my mini collection is growing quickly beyond Distress.

Stamp-n-Storage have these cool 12x12 clear plastic trays that fit 1x1 ink cubes perfectly.. you can see them here. I store each color family in a row.

Very nice - do they stack?

I ended up getting these: https://www.containerstore.com/s/cle...583&q=10069217

They don't have dividers, but I don't need to keep inks carefully separated; Tim's tins just got me used to it. Large holds 35 minis; small 15. They're stackable - large on large, two smalls on large, or smalls on smalls. They stack 2-3 high in shorter Alex drawers, and 3-4 in taller ones. But it depends on the drawer. One of my shorter drawers holds 3 stacked but the other 2.

They can sit on table or shelf and don't take up much room because they're stackable. They slide into each other a good inch, kind of different. They have a narrow one too. Other shallow supplies fit into them nicely too. And they do have a third size that's narrower.
