I have a really cool system that I repurposed from my Mom's basement. We *think* it's a wine bottle holder but I've seen similar flower pot holders in the summer months during planting season.

Unfortunately my marker collection has outgrown the container so I'm going to look this summer for something similar and get two (or more) the same.

I love this bc I can carry my markers easily anywhere. The cups in the holder were just from the dollar store.

That's a really neat storage unit. I have mine in a velcro closed Copic case, but I have filled it already and need the large one! I have markers in waiting!

As my current Copic holder this is what I use: Another view of my storage by jeanstamping2 - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

I'm still looking for something better. I have been using this because I go to crops. and it's easy to carry in my rolling cart.

I'm wondering if you could use pieces of pvc pipe (large diameter) glued together in a honeycomb fashion. You might even be able to find some connectors so that you wouldn't have to cut the pvc pipe. You would need to put some chipboard or something on one side so that the pens wouldn't fall out. You could use sections for different colors. You could even use some paint for plastics to paint the whole thing to match your decor.

There is someone on this site that has posted pictures of this very thing with either 4" or 6" PVC pipe......

I store mine in a 12x12 square Snapware container. I bought the separator things to make it have "sections" for all my copics. I'll try to post a picture, i have never did that before.

That is way cool! I love snapware, does the 12x12 come with the dividers and are they pretty stable if you don't have them filled with enough copic markers? how deep is the 12x12?

RKcrafter, my 12x12 snapware came with only a couple of dividers, so i had to buy more to make it have all of the sections that I wanted. It seems pretty stable to me, and I move it all over. Where ever i decide to do some coloring, it comes with me all over the house! ;)

It is 4 1/2 inches deep. As you can see, the tops of the markers stick out, but that doesn't bother me. It's easy for me to grab a marker with them being like that. HTH!

I store all of my Copics in the Cropper Hopper Photocase 2000! I have all of the sketch markers and as you can see, there's still room for more! The best thing is that it was only like 25 bucks when i bought it. Here is what I use. I use the bottom "cubbie/shelf" from those craft storage things you put together yourself. They were on sale for $19 each at Craft Warehouse awhile back.

To divide my colors, I use old Cuttlebug folders turned on their side. Works like a charm!

Love the ideas here as I don't like the clear copic storage containers made by copic. They're really too difficult to use if you have a mixture of ciao and sketch. :(

There's another PVC one out here where the gal fit the PVC pieces into a plastic bucket honeycomb style for traveling storage........I think there were about 12 pieces of pipe.

I've posted these pictures before but thought you might like to see my Copic storage, I use Ciaos and was at a loss as to how to store them so I could see the number on the side.
Just over a year ago, unknown to me, my fabulous husband pinched one of my Copics and made this box. It's stained and varnished wood, and each layer has a green baize base so I can put it on a table without scratching it. There's even a little "finger" cut-out at the end of each pen so I can lift it out easily. I can spread all the layers out on my desk and "colour-in" to my heart's content. It even fits in a canvas bag if I want to transport it. Isn't it fab? He got a great big hug!
Have to admit that since then my collection has grown - I now have an extra layer and every layer is full!

Should Copic markers be stored laying flat, or on end? Does it make a difference? Just curious because I'm just starting out.

I just put a pic of an organiser I made for DD in the gallery.

It is just foam core between the shelves but it works a treat for her.

Perhaps if you found a tin the right depth you could do something similar that was portable.

My dh made a wonderful little box for me out of foam core board I bought at a Dollarama.

I'm using a utensil caddy from Target. It was $9 and it matches my color scheme in my office, and it's only half full right now, so there's room to expand. Here's the link: Steel Utensil Caddy - Blue : Target

Question

I have read through all of these and am convinced of ONE THING..... I don't have enough copics!!

Where is the best price. A local store here (Columbus, Ohio area) is selling Sketch for 4.95 ... can I do better somewhere?

I got this idea from someone else here on another thread.. but mine are in a rubbermaid tote with a removable lid that I can put on and carry for crops. I need to get DH to cut more and I may need to expand into another container but... its downspout plastic or pvc maybe from Home Depot. It wasn't expensive here in Canada and I am sure in the US it would be even cheaper! He cut it into roughly 5.5 inches a section with a mitre saw.

Default New Copic Marker Storage

I have all the sketch color except the grays (I only have about a third of them), so I outgrew my previous storage. I put together several different ideas this weekend and came up with this storage. With the ArtBin Super Satchel Double Deep at 50% off this week at Joann's and the egg crate ceiling tile at $11.50 at Lowe's or Home Depot, the cost was under $30 and it will hold about 350 sketch and ciao markers. (Sorry the original square Copics do not fit the grid.) All the pictures on how to put this together are on my blog. The best part about this storage is that the markers are all in color order (so you know if something is missing) and that it can travel to crops because it has a lid. HTH

@ scrapaddie...you can purchase copics at oozak.com for $4.15 each (sketch) once you sign up on their site. If you place your order before 3PM you can receive your order within two days. Hope this is helpful. Kathie

This is awesome. I'll have to keep my eyes open for it.

Now if only they shipped to Canada.....sigh......
Canadian Tire had something similar to the Amuse buckets, last summer I got a white one. Here is a link i found on google:
Bars & Accessories > Kitchen & Dining Room > Furniture & Appliances - Drink Caddy with Bottle Opener - Canadian Tire, Toronto, ON, Canada

Maybe try your local CT since BBQ season is here, they might be back in stock!
