I'm finally started purging and condensing my 12x12 papers.
I watched several Youtube videos for examples how others organized their stash and was blown away by how much paper crafters were collecting in their stash!
I don't feel bad about my collection at all, it just needs to be purged and organized.
I really don't have much in patterned paper. It's more solid papers (including glitter and pearl) and double sided pads. I had three full file boxes and two stacks of pads on a shelf and I was tired of unstacking and restacking pads to get to the one I wanted.
I'm in the process of breaking up the pads pulling the papers I liked and plan to use.
Storing solid colors w/ matching printed papers behind them in one labeled project envelope. (including glitter and pearl papers as well). So far, I like it... now the papers are combined together taking up less space, more organized and neatly stored standing in the cubes.
Have you updated your paper storage lately? What system do you use?
I store 4 of these on top of the filling cabinets I use to house my 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock and DSP. I find them at thrift stores for 5-9 dollars. I put the 12 x 12 cardstock and DSP in these plastic sleeves:
I label by SU and name then by Echo Park and name etc. I have an index with the name of the DSP and what colors match. When working on a project I simply pull out the sleeve. I do put any scraps back in the sleeve. Seems my mind work better by product name and alphabetically

Reason: coding error
the idea I have for storing 12 x 12 paper is at the end of all the coding mess. I don't know ho that happened so sorry. hopefully this will work. If anyone knows how to eliminate the coding post please do.

I fixed it
Basically don't post search links - click alllll the way through from Google to the final link and paste that one
I have not updated lately. Same one I have had for years.
12 x 12 solids are in a plastic rolling drawer thing. I don't really care about brands there.
8 1/2 x 11 are in a file drawer and those are in folders by company.
pads are in a box-I pull the pages that are not my thing when they come in and give 'em away.
DP is sorted by subject in plastic accordion files although Christmas is in a box. They have their companies on them.

I only have two Iris 12x12 cases storing 12inch paper.
I don't buy 12x12 in solid's. Specialty that comes in 12x12 that I do occasionally buy I usually have it cut down within a day.
The only 12x12 I have is pattern paper. I use pattern paper mainly to cut images from. I have that stored with my sticker storage. All my paper is in categories and then color lots. Examples- Hot Air Balloon's- Blue
The doubles I have are organized the same way in another 12x12 Iris Case. I use those to make envelopes & boxes with.
I finished purging and organizing the cubi storage unit and it looks so much better. All my 12x12, 8 1/2 x11, mixed media papers, specialty paper, and more are stored along one wall.

I keep all of my plain 12x12 card stock in a wooden scrapbook paper organizer with dividers with the paper standing up, arranged in rainbow order. 8.5x11 paper is in hanging file folders separated by color. Patterned paper is in plastic sleeves by theme (baby, boyish, girlie, sports, seasonal, geometric, etc.). When choosing a paper for photos, I don’t have to sort through everything and can just pull the relevant sleeves. I have too much but need to get back to making cards and layouts.
Personally, I have the Container Store's "Multi-purpose Bins" size Large for my 12x12 paper. I also use them for my die sets, and 6x6" paper. Multi-Purpose Bins for 12x12 paper Why I like them is because there are handles on either side, and 2 of the large size fit perfectly into an Ikea Expedit cube shelf unit (I have the older style, which is Expedit, and I can't recall the name of the current style, which, I've heard is easier to store cardstock in the cubes.)

I like how you have your paper stored, organized and neatly tucked away on the shelves.
I have magazine-style Cropper Hopper containers I bought years ago. For subdividing and better organizing the contents of said containers, I purchased 12 x 12 sleeves intended for lp album covers. The sleeves work wonderfully well. They easily slide in and out of box. Labels on each box indicate contents.
I use the Container Store's smallest multipurpose bin for me 12 x 12 paper. I like the smaller bin because it weighs so much less when I need to lift it.
