My husband installed in my family room cabinets designed for Kitchens. They're too deep. Plus I have some storage shelving in my basement. I stamp on my dinning room table. This set up worked okay when I didn't have alot of supplies. The last few years I have bought alot of Stampin Up stuff. So it's hard to remember what I have. Any suggestions for me to remember what I have would be helpful.. Would Taping a list to the inside of the cabinet door with what's in it. Would that be a good idea? Please comment if you have any suggestions.
This thread is full of great ideas! I finally have a room all my own, but can't quite figure out where to start. The scrapbox is wonderful but out of my price range (sigh). I'm hoping to find some 'non SB' items to keep the cost down.

I'm in the same boat as you. I am in the process of converting the family/office/scrapbook room into just a scrap space and have no idea where to start. I was going to have DH and FIL install kitchen cabinet type stuff in there like my friend has but now I am rethinking it. My sister said what if you move and it drives down the price of your house? We aren't really planning on moving anytime soon but I would jump at the chance to move back to my hometown (can't EVER see my hubby going for that though). So now I am thinking about maybe a couple of those ikea expedit's and some large white cupboards, stuff that wouldn't be quite so permanent. UGGGHHH I don't know where to begin
I got a green light to redo my craft room for Christmas and just got it done. I have before and after pics posted on my blog. And now that my puppy has just settled in for a nap I'm going to head in there and get back to craftin
Maggie, love your corner desk as well. I may have missed it on the blog but did you mention where you got it?
Home Decorators Collection online. Martha Stewart had a craft furniture collection there and I got a great deal on it with free shipping and a discount
I tried to upload a picture of my new space under the Stampin' spaces but I don't see it there. I do see it in my gallery. Anyway I attached the picture and you can see more on my blog Dragonfly Dreams

As I was putting this together, I found old photos of when I first started stamping. I just finished remodeling and now am working on covering boxes, cans ect.
I saw a futon in your room too. That's the only thing in my room that I'm not happy with. I'd rather have a table in that space, but I'm not able to remove it at this time. I'm just looking for ideas
I've kinda been thinking of putting a board between the two arms of the futon to make a shelf/table.
A BIG WOW! It looks so clean and peaceful, a real stamper's haven. I love the overall cream color motif... and the chandelier. I too have a bonus room on top of the garage. Thanks for the inspiration.

OK, I finished my new storage for retired ink pads. Not perfect by any means, but I think they turned out really cute. I did them to match my fabric for my new curtains for My Purple Palace.

Beautiful!! This would be the perfect room!
I'm in the process of redoing my room and trying to get what I want while making do with things I have. My son wanted his bedroom downstairs in what was my scrapbooking room, so we remodeled that room and the bathroom for him. So everything I own scrapbooking/cardmaking/crafty has been packed up for a couple of months while trying to get those rooms done. Now it's my turn! I am doing my room in pink/black & white and I love it so far! I'll post pics as soon as I get it done.
I am loving everyone's room and glad to have a place to see the spaces here. I dont know why, but I love organizing as much as I do creating...its sick!
I just stumbled on this thread and had just written a blog post a couple of days ago about my small crafty space. Here's a link:

My Diva Den is almost done....there are a few more changes I want to make (new TV, and a few other things) but I think I'll be straigtening it up and posting the picts soon.
Would you prefer picts or video, or a little of both? I love my Diva Den!

Pictures attached here in the thread please. ;) Just use the "paperclip" icon above your text box. Our programming will not support adding a video. We also have a 'Stampin' Spaces' gallery for including lots of views of your creative places, where others can admire and comment!
Hi everyone. My husband and I recently bought a brand new home and we are finally starting in on my new scrap/craft room. I'm planning to branch out a bit and get back to sewing so I'm not calling it a scrap room only. We are just getting started but wanted to post a link in case anyone can use any ideas from it and maybe just enjoy watching the progress. I have gotten soooo many awesome ideas from all of you ladies so I want to share as well.

This is just an ordinary art room. It has no specialty furniture or custom built cabinets. It works for me though. I'm very happy to have the room. The furniture was in my room as a little girl so it has sentimental value to me. Plus I already had it.
Everything is very practical. I'm very happy making do with what I have for storage and spending more money on stamping stuff I did buy the Iris carts and the hanging folder box for my cs, but they were on sale. The boxes that contain supplies are things I had, I just covered them with pretty papers or fabric. The brown table was in an old school we closed down, so I took it home and refinished it.The black book case was a dorm hand-me-down from my son. I share the closet with the Christmas tree and ornaments. My art supplies are in boxes on top of ornament boxes and the hanging shoe thingy is full of my art stuff too.
All the drawers hold art stuff, so I took a few pics of those too in the next post.
The futon I want desperately to get rid of, but DS thinks we might need the extra bed some time:(. The big printer was my son's and was hit by lightning so it only prints black and white. As soon as the ink runs out I'm tossing it. (Yeah more room).
It looks like you have lots of room and I love that you are using the furniture from when you were a child. It gives you lots of storage and looks great too.

New room- under way
I FINALLY got around to moving some stuff into my new/bigger studio this week/weekend. My DH finally got it panted too! For a time this week i was stamping between two rooms, NOT fun. It was good cardio though, lol!
I finally got my desk in last night but still have things spread out over three rooms....have to work late tonight and then go out of town tomorrow so it will be a while before I get finished up....and then I still need some more storage solutions so a trip to Ikea will need to be made. No idea when that will happen tho as it's 3 hours away and I work a lot! Anyway, here is what I had done on Sunday. I'll post more pics later.
Walls are a soft gray color that I LOOOOVE but it's hard to see in the pic:-)
