Organize me!!
Once upon a time - I used to be organized - but then life happened. It all started in a little closet in my apartment. It was literally stacked to the ceiling with clear containered drawers.
Then - we bought a house!! How exciting - but even though there was enough room for me to have my own space we let our extended family move in and I hung out in our dining room. I was still decently organized.
My DH even built me a storage cabient. You can see it in my gallery - my old stamp space and my new one.
Then in 2007 my house caught fire and we had to live elseware for almost a year. The unit my DH built for me survived and we were able to bring it back into the house into a room of my very own.
So, yes I have a stamp space, it even has a sink. You can see those photos in my gallery too.
Here is where I find that I really need a space for me within my space.
The unit that DH built for me is a clutter hole now - the drawers fall out when I open them, the doors do not close right anymore and I find that it is more a 'stub your toe' hazard now. We figure that this happened because it sat in a damp house for awhile, then in storage, then carried up a flight of stairs - now that it has settled it has lost its ability to hold together.
I now have 4 kids - and the floor is cluttered with stuff that I can not even bring the babies in the room so I can work. I have to go in 20 directions to find anything that I need so I end up not working in their much. My closest storage has now become a haven for my childrens crafts and supplies for school projects.
Now, because of my ability to not keep organized, I start projects and end up not finishing them. So, they too are stacked everywere. I try to get in there weekly to orgainzed but I haven't seemed to make a dent with the twins not being able to be in their with me when I do have the time to be in their to clean......ooops I am starting to ramble.
This is a great unit and would give me the ability to have a workspace in the midst of my stuff at arms reach and I would still have room for my girls to be in 'our' art room together.
Please consider me for a chance to win this - maybe I will find my floor, my kids will find their table and I may get my sanity back after a long day of work, feedings and bedtime woes by doing something just for me!!

This is a photo of my sink and countertop - I do make an attempt to be orgainzed but it is covered in stuff that I plan to use with projects - its just a matter of getting the room organized so this stuff can have a home too:

She needs this!!! Please organize Leona! I know of no one else who is more deserving. She needs this for herself as she gives of herself for others.
If anyone deserves this organizer it's Leona. With four little ones at home and all of the other things life has thrown her family's way...this would sure be awesome for her. Please help out this awesome Mom who so needs it!
Ooooooooohhhhh, seriously, I cannot think of anyone more deserving of this than Leona! In the time I've known her, she has faced trial after trial after trial, and she's handled them with a grace I don't often see.Throughout these challenges life tossed her, I don't recall her ever taking time just for herself, or doing something just for herself. This unit should be in her house, just for her!
Once upon a time - I used to be organized - but then life happened...
so true, so true...my twins (youngest of seven), are past the age of getting into things in a toddler way...now they want to use my stamping supplies....still a bit of a mess making dilemma...gotta love them though...

Today I showed DH the ScrapBox - he was amazed - he wishes he could build me one like that - to replace the first one he built me! Aww how sweet! He is so busy all the time too - it would take him about 10 yrs to build it for me - at that rate I may need two of them

I think you need the scrapbox, it would be perfect for you! And with your growing family, what a great extra 'addition' it would be to help you stay organized!

Yep - the biggest mistake for that room was carpet - too much stuff on the floor to vaccum and I now have paint, glitter, glue, playdoh and playsand all embedded into it. Ugg. So that I do not have to see my childrens 'oops' I just move things around to cover it up.
I am just as bad as they are - If I caught it soon enough I could probably get it out of the Carpet - but I walk in there, get overwhelmed and walk out.
My problem is maintaining the orgainzation - help me please!

Beautiful twins! Mine are 13 now! Turning 14 on halloween. Sniff Sniff.
They are turning into total girly girls, Can't keep make up hidden any where. Lol.
They are learning and very interesed in Manga right now. They do this thing called Furry paws (Sp) on line and it amazes me how fast they grow up.

So, will life ever get easier after twins?? I hear the first 2 years are the hardest, then it gets a little easier! I already can't hide my makeup from my 4 yr old! The twins already want to touch everything that mommy is touching too....At least I will still be pretty young when the kids are all grown - then I can have me time

Lol, I had the twins first. I was a teen mom at 16 raising twins. I can't say it gets easier because I'm still growing up with them. I'm 30 now. I was on my own for the first 3 years of their life and I worked two jobs to support us and putting myself through school. But they were really good girls. My last one is now 6 years old she was the tough one. What am I saying she is the tough one.
But my concerns now are the twins are in Junior high, discovering boys and I'm praying to god they make better decision than I did. As twins they protect each other and keep secrets and are remarkable at covering for each other. Then again when there is a fight between the two it ends up pretty bad as well.
They are so different now. Like night and day. So if it does get easier... I'll tell you in a few years...
Regardless, I wouldn't give them back for the world
Sadly I wasn't told. They have always looked identical up until they hit about 10 then the persaonalities changed a lot and so did the way they carry themselves and act

Well thats stinks. I thought my babies were twins until after they washed their hair One was blonde and the other is a brunette - and there were 2 sacs so needless to say they are not identical. I am sure if they looked alike they are probably identical - I have seen many that are but are also very different in personality

I don't know who I would want to give this to more, if it were up to me...it's a tight call between you and Laura (okiechic) -- that girl NEEDS doors ;). {{{HUGS}}} about FIL too...you've got a GREAT heart Leona...
Leona works so hard at everything, family, work, etc.. Having a new organized craft space will let her take advantage of those quick 10 minute breaks to create! Please pick Leona!
OMG I just noticed there isn't even space to OPEN THE CUTTLE BUG! oh the horror, you couldn't even have a cricut in the room! It needs at least 12" front and back!
