Amber, I bet you could get one or at least something like it, at Office Max, maybe even WalMart or Target.
Good luck!

Great idea, love it! Looks like I will have to make a trip. Just curious, did the cd hanging folder come with it and if so how many?

Thanks for sharing!

I actually like the idea of storing them in a box labeled on magnetic sheets better, what a neat idea.

I just bought one of these boxes at Target today. They are in the CD/DVD storage section, on the bottom shelf.

Great idea! I do something similar, mine are on 8.5X11 magnetic sheets in these protectors. I do magnetic sheets on both sides - with a piece of cardboard (like the ones that come in the DSP packs in between) and store them upright on my desk. I can fit 6-8 sets in one container, and they are very portable.

you can get packs of magnetic vent covers at home depot, then cut them up:

Or (and I got lucky on this) get a stack of the magnetic schedules they hand out at sporting events.

What tool do you cut them with? I have never seen these before. Does it ruin your scissor or blade or whatever you use?

RE: Magnetic vent covers.

I didn't cut mine, but they are thin enough to cut with a regular pair of scissors. I think they're meant to be easily trimmed, in order to fit your particular vent. The guy who helped me find them at Menards (home improvement store in the midwest), told me that his daughter took some of the leftovers and cut pieces to make her own magnets. He was super hunky so I believed him. LOL!

Here is my bulletin board (free-already had it and not using it) with 3 of the vent covers.

I use the magnetic vent covers too! They are SUPER cheap and work great. They are thin enough to cut. I used my trimmer. They are a little flimsy and need to be adhered to something. I used cardstock and put the name on the top edge so I can find what I looking for quickly. Mine are in a photo type box.

Wow.. I was just posting on another Nestie storage thread about this same idea, Ree. I got my boxes from Walmart, and they don't have hanging files, but basically the same idea. I also stick them to those magnetic vent covers from Home Depot (scissors work great).
