I don't just want this.. I NEED this!!!
Ok..... so.. I'm what they call a scrapbook supply hoarder. Yes, I know... you all say that... but let me tell you.. I've only been scrapbooking for 1 year and 3 months and I think I could open a store with all of the supplies/tools I have amassed.
I absolutely love scrapbooking, and would have started years ago, but I was working on my teaching degree. Oh.. and right in the middle of my degree, my husband and I adopted two boys, who were 8 and 10 (at the time).
Now I scrapbook for my children. I have no pictures of them prior to joining our family, and I want them to have as many photos/memories as possible.
When my husband and I bought our townhouse, we thought it was huge, at that point we had no children and could easily have a spare room and an office. But when the children came, we had to reorganize and the spare room and office became their rooms. We moved the computer into the dining room. Then I decided to start scrapbooking and pretty much took over the dining room table ... as it was close to the computer - where I spend WAY too much time on Splitcoast!!!!
So then it became a chore to try and clear the table for supper. My darling husband suggested we bring in our patio table to eat on.. what a sweetie, he knew the dining table was a better surface for scrapping on!
So now we have a table in the kitchen and a scrap table in the dining room. This is great, but because I am not the most organized person it looks like a bomb has gone off and spread scrapbooking bits and pieces every where.
I really struggle to try and stay organized, but it just doesn't seem to want to happen. That is why I desperately NEED a Scrapbox!!!
Pictures to come soon!!

Thanks for posting your pics of your messy crafting space - now I do not feel abnormal when I look at my kitchen table, LOL! Hubby and I eat our meals in the living room on the coffee table because I have claimed the kitchen table just like you!
I have a small room that we use as a home office area with the computer and my Longaberger business materials. I claimed that as my crafting room a few years ago and when I ran out of space in there, I spilled out to the kitchen table and the floor around the table.
One of these days............we will all be organized with everything in its place! A girl can dream, right?;)

(1) I craft for two reasons... First, I scrapbook for my kids. I have no pictures of them from before they came to us.. we adopted them at age 8 and 10. I want them to be able to look back at their albums, I make one for each of our boys, and say.. look how far we've come... I want them to remember the good times, and the bad.. and remember that even though they had a rough start to life.. they ended up with a family that loves them unconditionally.
Second, I scrapbook for me. It is my time to have some "mom" time. When I go to crops or just to my sister or mom's house, that is my time to refresh and rejuvenate. But, it can also be my time to spend with my boys... mom and son time... When my hubby is sleeping during the day (he’s a shift worker).. We use this quiet time to make cards for every birthday in our family, I make one from my hubby and I, and the boys each make their own. This allows them to show their creative side as well.
(2) I mostly scrapbook so my layouts go in the boys’ albums. As mentioned above, I make cards for birthdays and anniversary in the family. This year I have been making my own Christmas cards.. I started early!! I’ve also been an active member on the Swap forum.
(3) The single biggest impact of my projects has been on me. I’ve never considered myself to be an artist… or artistic in any way. I’ve always said.. “I can’t even draw a stick man.” I think my lack of self confidence in my ability was one of the things that held me back from scrapbooking. But when we adopted our boys, both my sister and sister in law who had been scrapping for years told me I “had” to scrap for the boys. I resisted for over a year and finally gave in. I was shocked when my sister started asking me for advice on colours and layout ideas. Scrapbooking has given me a major boost in self confidence.
The one specific project that had the biggest impact was a layout I did for a swap. I was given photos of someone I didn’t know and had to scrap their photos and send the completed pages to them. I received a photo that I honestly thought was one of the most beautiful photos I had seen. I made my most favourite layout of all time showcasing that one photo. I am proud of myself for creating a beautiful layout that someone else gets to enjoy.
Another impact would be watching my kids react to the pages I create for them. I love to see them smile when they see the time and effort I put into doing something for them. They love that I scrapbook and often will pose “because you can scrapbook this mom!”
I truly appreciate the opportunity to win this amazing prize. There are many people out there who need this, but I think I need it most!!! ;-) Thank you for the opportunity!

Can I answer #3 also??? PLEASE!!!! ;)
I've been in over a dozen swaps with Moria and I'm like a little kid at Christmas time when my swap box arrives and I get to see what Magical creation she's done... I'm just giddy with excitement and I always drool over her work...
I get so many ideas from her... She is my inspiration...
Go check out her gallery... You'll be amazed at her creations... And then go look at the pictures of her craft area and you'll wonder how she does what she does... Just think how much more she can do with an organized craft area...
