The bins next to the entertainment unit is part of the reason it is hard to keep my room straight; my stash of fabric. I have to work on those projects next before I can get started back scrapbooking/cardmaking. Besides, now I don't want to mess it up! I still have a lot of pictures to sort that are laying on the desk. My dad made the desk for me as a sewing table, has a little drawer in the front. He made the other table as a hallway or behind-the-sofa table. I moved it into my craftroom, and am using it there also.
Oops, forgot to close the closet door and the containers of fabric won't go down until my next projects (SEWING!). I'm so excited though! I think I'll post some pics in my gallery too.
I know some may wonder why it is such a big deal to me when it is such a small room to organize. Well, there's a lot of stuff crammed into that room, and it has gotten so hard for me to organize and clean since I got sick eight and a half years ago. I have two chronic illnesses, and I have constant dizziness, off-balance feeling, frequent queasiness, nausea, brain fog, and fatigue (along with a whole host of symptoms). Don't misunderstand, I'm not feeling sorry for myself. I'm sure there a lot of you dealing with your own troubles too. It's just that it takes me so long to get anything done now, that when I get something accomplished, it is HUGE to me! So inside, I am doing a major Happy Dance! Thanks for you all for the motivation and ideas. Now I don't want to mess it up! haha.
Fortunately, I've been in an organizing mood for the whole house, so tomorrow if I'm feeling well, I intend to work on the rest of the house. Fortunately, I don't have too much to do in the other rooms, just my usual cleaning.
Wow, you have inspired me to keep on working on my room! I have been running out of steam but your pictures of your organized, well laid out space have charged me back up. Your space looks wonderful! Well done!
It's a room a week and I've used this for the Holiday Grand Plan for several years now and the 'liberation' I feel is amazing! Once you make it through, it really shortens the time you spend doing housework!
Therefore...more time to spend in your craft space crafting!

Thank you Christine. Took a quick look at your gallery, and you get a lot done! Lots of gorgeous cards!
DeeAnn, Orange tabbies are always special. This one is as active as you can get. Ralphie tries to help with all of Mommy's projects! And P.J. just likes to stop in for some pets and sweet talk.
Liz, thanks so much for the link. It is very motivating! Sounds like a great way to help gain control of the house. I'll just have to work on it as my body allows.
I actually rode on my exercise bike again today too. Love better feeling days! And guess what? I found my t.v. remote for that room. If it had been a snake it would have bitten me! Still haven't found those two kitty stamps I lost, but I have plenty, so I'll survive.
I tried to keep everything pretty visible, as I tend to have a short memory and forget what I have. My friends all have this problem also. Out of sight, out of mind! I tried to use the storage containers I had. I did buy some of the medium-sized storage stackable drawers to hold my punches. It was so worth it!!! Fortunately, I've bought quite a few different containers over the years, so didn't have to purchase much to finish. Even the ziploc take-home containers I had worked great for my markers. And I love the binder ideas I got from here. I just have to keep them labeled. I used to have all of my paper divided into different categories, but decided to put them together; patterned, solid and 8 1/2 x ll, putting the categories together with the rest in the large plastic bins and my 8 1/2 x 11 in make-shift magazine holder box decorated with calendar pages.

You're welcome. It's helped me immeasurably. Just to let you know in the 8-10 years I've been doing this I've NEVER made it through the entire plan or my house. BUT, even with what I've done, it's more than I would have and it's MUCH easier each time you go through it. Also tailor the weeks for you if you need to.
The Holiday Grand Plan is the Grand Plan (cleaning) with getting ready for the holidays and starts around the end of August. The first year is the hardest, but it's helped me to really think about why we do what we do and what's important.

Your room looks GREAT!! And I think your kitty helpers approve, too!
Those small white drawer stacks you have on your shelves ... I LOVE those things! I have attached a photo that shows a few of them in part of my space. They're perfect for so many things!! I bought the ones that have 5 drawers, and I have them stacked two high, three wide. That makes 30 drawers of goodness!!!
GREAT JOB on your room -- now you can have fun stamping (and messing it up!) Tee hee!!
I love those things too! Whoever invented clear plastic stackable drawers is a genius!!! Wow, your space looks awesome! Looks like you are a great organizer; lots of supplies neatly stored and visible. Love it!
Great space! Getting organized is such a wonderful feeling! And it is contagious...It does spread to other parts of the house. And I checked out the grand plan challenge site also.......gonna show that to hubby.
