It seems that many people here at Splitcoast have an entire room, section of a basement, or other large space to organize all of their scrappin' supplies. I have a deep and wide closet. I love my scrappin' closet because when I'm not working in there, I can just close the doors.
Just wondering.... does anyone else have a scrappin' closet?
Perhaps we could share ideas for organizing everything in closet space.

My stash is in a closet too. Unfortunately it's a linen closet which is pretty small. I use all available space including the side walls of the closet. I screwed in small hooks and I hang all my rubbons, stickers and other packaged emellishments which I keep on large binder rings.
I also purchased 3 large boxes from IKEA which I keep on the closet floor, to store my kits.
I purchased assorted baskets from Michaels when they had a 50% off sale and I keep chipboard, unmounted stamps and other miscellaneous items in them.
I am in a closet too but I only store supplies in it I work on my dinette table which is in the room next to the closet. I have lots of hooks on the walls and everything in clear storage boxes or drawers so I can find them but right now is a mess. I have a rolling table that houses my cricut and my big shot so those I roll out of the closet for use
I gutted my closet and put pre-fab cabinets & counter inside- took the sliding doors off- since it looks like a built in now. Now if only i would USE it... sigh.
Yes I am in a closet not just my supplies and I need to come out but don't know how. I think I might need this more than you or anyone else.

I am impressed that you are able to 1. create and 2. stick with the hobby! I think you should win that scrapbox!!
I USED to have a closet until I lost it during a renovation. Oh how I miss my closet. There is a picture in my gallery. I think one of the keys to organize in closet stamping is to go up since you can't really expand out, if that makes any sense. Take advantage of the wall space that you have to incorporate shelving. Take a walk down the closet organizing section of your local hardware store and look for storage ideas that could double in your stamping space. I used an open shoe organizing shelf, and if I had had doors I would have used some of the wire door racks that are available. It's a great space to have!

I'm in 2 closets, under the bed, and I'm trying to conquer a 3rd closet if my DH doesn't veto it!!!
I think I spend more time trying to organize everything instead of creating though!!
I'm in a walk-in closet that's about 12 feet long and 6 feet wide. My husband built me a 9-foot long cabinet that goes down one wall and I have lots of shelving. I also have to keep our clothes in there, so that takes up about half of the length of the other wall. I've got several of the white Crop In Style cubes stacked two high under all the hanging clothes. I've separated my husband's clothes and mine with a Martha Stewart kitchen island from K-Mart where I keep my laptop, printer and Janome Sew Mini. It's a good sturdy table that's a bit higher than my cabinet so I can craft standing up there when the urge strikes. Against the back short wall is a sort of armoire cabinet that houses all my SU sets. On the back of my closet door is a large shoebag from Bed, Bath & Beyond that holds all of my SU punches. I like that I can go in there, shut the door, turn on the light and radio and stamp, even when my DH is asleep right outside the door in the master bedroom, and not disturb him. I have my eye on my 9-year-old's bedroom as my future stamping room once his older brother is grown, but that's still years away. In the meantime, at least I have my closet!
I'm in a walk-in closet, but I share with my clothes, shoes, purses, etc. I don't actually stamp in there - I have a folding table that I pull out when it's time to stamp. However (see my other thread), I am about to move to the guest room, as soon as I get my new old furniture.

ME! I have a large-ish square walk in that I have set up with some shelves and a 4 foot folding table that I have raised to counter-top height (I am a stander). I love that I can leave stuff unfinished and just close the doors. It is also in my den and near the computer.
I'm in an L-shaped walk in closet on our second floor-- I call it the Craft Cave. There are pictures in my gallery of its final configuration. I wish I could say that I spend all of my time there....however, lately it seems like only stamp when I HAVE to. Sad.....:(

Your craft corner looks so perfect! I think we all can take some inspiration from you Never thought a closet could be made so work-able.
Thanks! it was a abnormally deep closet in an old house, so i had that going for me, but i've seen the normal sized closets with the cabinets/counter too.
I used to have a whole room but when my ex and I split, I had to downsize to a one bedroom so now all I have is a closet. I never thought it would work like a room did but I almost like it better. It's a hall closet for the coats and stuff so it is really long. That helps not being a deep closet because I can see everthing. I also like the fact that there is a rode (to hang the coats on) so I use that for punches and ribbon scraps and rolls. I have those plastic bins and on top of those I have paper holders stacked. It also has a shelf (for hats and mittens and stuff) and I keep my stamp sets on that so I can see which SU sets I have. I would still LOVE to have a desk type armour for when I am working on a certain project so I can keep it ready but not messy looking on my dinning room table. Oh well, I'll keep wishing.
I converted the closet in our guestroom to my stamping space about a year ago. I posted pictues in my gallery if you want to take a peek. I don't know what I'd do if I had an entire room for stamping and creating. I'd have fun organizing it, though!
