I remember that Fisher Price barn box!!! Either I had one when I was a kid or my sister did. Too funny! Of course all the FP things we had as kids are long gone now but the fun memories are there.

My space is in the basement too. I am lucky that it is in a corner with two glass block windows that I get some light from. The white paint on the walls also helps with the light. Here are some pics of my area.

Stamps N More: New Stamping Space

Stamps N More: Tidying Up!

I do have a few lamps around with daylight bulbs in them to try and brighten it up some more.

I used to have a space heater to keep warm, but my husband confiscated it.I need to get a new one. I also need to get a dehumidifier down there. It gets too humid in the summer and if I'm not careful my envelopes all seal themselves shut.

Lorien, what a great space! I LOVE all the table top space you have in there! And the bright white is the perfect color for your room.

I also have pegboard in my craft room that I'll be using for my punches. My pegboard is down right now. I'm getting ready to mount my new Bygel rails on it and put it on a different wall. But first, I have to do a little patching and touch up the paint. The pegboard and a shelf (on the wall where the pegboard will go) left some finger-sized holes in my walls. Sometimes it seems craft room organizing is a never-ending job.

Thanks for sharing. I love your space and organization. I wish I had a wall for peg board. I love your punch rods too.

We go through a humidifier every two years, it's disgusting. They are costly to replace but only last the 2 years if we're lucky. I finally moved most of my envelopes upstairs. I didn't have any other choice :(

BTW if you have any long, legal size envelopes that stick, you can use them to make 4x4 envies. So easy and so cute!

Are you sure you haven't posted "before" photos of MY basement? Seriously, this is what MY basement looked like BEFORE. I have a ledge in front of the window so I can't even get light from it but your basment looks like mine.

I can't wait to see your AFTER photos. I'm excited!

Ok I got up the curtain dividing off the stairs. It's cozy now. I have to now organize and clean my supplies. I have to also use some b and w flowered wall paper on a decorative project (art). It's coming along. Photos to follow soon. Oh ya and I think I'm getting lights and plugs this weekend !

I can't wait to show you the room!

Yes, these special memories are great in my stamp room. Boy that was a LONG post. I must have been feeling chatty! It is fun to have those things put to use in a new life!
