I've used my CB with great results on CS and DSP and the dies the SU! carries. The chart at the beginning of the thread is a great resource.
I've skimmed through the lloonnggg thread and haven't found any info on the long dies that SU! carries. They are intended for the Big Shot, but I'm wondering if they can be successfully used in the CB?

i have found a truly WONDERFUL resource on the net for using the Cuttlebug and dies in truly interesting ways. Indigo Inklings also has a tutorial on using the long plates. You'll find it here.
does the pillow box big die work in the cuttlebug? It says to use a crease pad. Has anyone used this big die in thier cuttlebug? I do not want to purchase it, if it does not work. HELP! Thanks
This has probably been asked and answered, but I cannot find the answer.
I can get my cuttlebug to cut with the nesties, but cannot get it emboss. What am I doing wrong? What is the stack order?
Thanks so much!

sherry - i'm not at home, so i'm going by memory... i think it's the thick white plate, one of the clear plates, nestie - cut side up, cardstock, embossing mat, cardboard shim, clear plate.
most likely, if it's not embossing it's either not tight enough, or you don't have the embossing pad in the right place.

I have used the pillow box die in my cuttlebug and I use a tan mat and it works great!!!!!
Love it
:confused:Can you use the cuttlebug dies in the sizzix machine?
hi Nanny! i don't personally know the answer to your question, but i found a YouTube video that shows how to use cuttlebug dies in your sizzix. it requires a 'converter'. hope this helps.
what if the plumbers gasket seems "too thick"? Does it come in a variety of thicknesses? The lowes I went to had that only size. Any help most appreciated.
well THAT makes sense glad you found some and i sure hope it works. i actually played with my nesties yesterday - i just LOVE the embossed border on my 'cut outs'...
I have searched the Cuttlebug forums and haven't seen anyone post with this problem:
I can get the Nesties to cut, but not emboss. I used the following sandwich:
A plate
B plate
carstock
die
foam pad from Sizzix
cereal box shim
B plate
I can hardly turn the handle as this sandwich is so tight -- and STILL no embossing.
I have tried without the cereal box shim and it is easier to turn the handle, but still no embossing.

here's another stack, similar to the last one i posted...
A Plate, B Plate, Die facing up, Cardstock facing down, Embossing Mat, shims as required and B Plate.
Can you use the cuttlebug with the stampin up texture plates?
Amy - i'm nearly certain you can. i don't have any of the SU! texture plates, but would assume they're similar to the fiskars ones. try starting with the Big Impressions Textures Plates stack from my chart. let us know what works!

Yes, you can. I used one a couple of weeks ago, but I'm sorry, I don't remember what sandwich I used. -- I know, should have written it down.
Hi Everyone!
I have tried to make several of the pop up cake cards using a Cuttlebug and the Sizzix extended cutting plates I've taped together with packing tape--my problem is that when the pieces come off the die, they are cut in several places where they should be scored, causing the cake to fall apart. Does anyone have a solution for this? I was thinking that I might need a crease pad, just to give a little cushion, but I don't know if it will fit or if there is a crease pad that would fit in the Cuttlebug. TIA!!

The Premium Crease Pad and Extended Cutting Pads are too wide for the cuttlebug machine.
Wow! Alot of great info here thanks for posting it all. Does anyone know how to sandwich the nesties in the big shot? I dont have the cuttlebug & can not see buying it when I have several die cutting machines already. Thanks for any info you can send my way. Also Thanks so much for the charts CAT.
