To all of you flying into Orlando Airport. It is one of the best organized airports in this country and I have been in quite a few airports. I live about 45 minutes from Orlando, and afew of my friends are going. We can't wait to meet everyone. I would suggest bringing light weight clothes, because it will be hot. Also, Disney and Sea World are close by, so if you have family coming with you send them there. Sea World has a new water park called Aquatica, which is really great. In fact Sea world is only a few miles fron the convention center. there are tons of restaurants around the convention center and they have a trolley that goes up and down I -drive, not sure of the cost. One thing thing I will warn you about is are the afternoon thunderstorms, which can be quite bad. We are the lightening capital of the world. Any questions just let me know
Sunroomstampers, Chickkit and Midnightscrap will be there plus 2 spouses. We have our condo and now the search is on for a big enough vehicle to carry the 5 of us and all the "goodies" we will be bringing back with us. My dad is very excited - he was looking at the list of vendors and saw Ribbon Ring and now he has his plan mapped out. We will have to keep saying to him "Step Away From The Ribbon". My husband is not so excited but oh well. Hey at least it gets him out of the house
Hi! I'm really new to the site & to stamping. I've been scraping & beading for a while & tried my best to avoid stamping but finally got pulled in & am loving it-although there is so much out there that it's overwhelming at times. I am going to the CHA in Orlando so I hope to meet some of you.I went to the Scrap & Bead convention 2 years ago in Orlando-Parking was horrible @ the actual convention center but a Park & Ride was open-a couple of $ to park & the bus dropped us off right at the the correct doors-when we were totally out of money, the bus picked us up at the front doors & took us back to the Park & Ride-hopefully this will be an option again.
The convention center has multiple parking lots. The one right next to the convention center (west building parking) is always full-don't bother trying to park there. Park in the North/South Building parking and a free shuttle bus will take you over to the west concourse. The super-show is in the West concourse.
I'm searching for "car shows" or anything "guy'ish" for him to do! lol... Shiny cars/ Shiny embellishments--- same thing, right!?!
Tori, my hubby will be there too -- with our two youngest girls! They'll have their own little vacation while I play with my 'friends'! It beats no family vacation at all, I guess! ;)
Oh my goodness.....I'm going! It was totally spontaneous and unplanned but my tickets are bought and I'll be there.
DH wants to go and look at some condos/houses and I asked if we could go this weekend and he said YES! I love that man so much. He can drive around and look at properties (his hobby) while I walk around and look at craft supplies (my hobby). And the kids are staying home, LOL~
Hope to see all of you there. I bought tickets for Fri and Sat.
How sad are we - or excited maybe? I have printed out a copy of the floor plan- enlarged it - made copies and distributed to Judy, Dawn and Dad and we are checking the web site and determining which booths are our main focus. We will try to get to them all but goodness know we do not really need to look at something else that may create a desire to start a new hobby.
Already checked on getting a scooter for Judy since she would never be able to walk the whole thing - plus it give us someone to carry our stuff :-)
This will be my first CHA and I can't wait! It is going to be even more fun because I get to demo in the Sparkle N Sprinkle Booth # 1313. I can't wait to meet all the crafters!
I am very seriously considering going, but wonder if I should wait til next year. Since this is the first year, sometimes it takes a few shows to get the kinks worked out. I have heard from people in the biz that have attended the trade CHA that it is incredible...that the free make and takes are awesome, etc. Does anyone on the "inside" know if they are planning on running it the same way as the trade CHA?
If I do go, it'll be solo. Is anyone else going alone?

WoW! I am super excited about all of the people that are planning to attend. We're busy behind the scenes putting our plans into action. The Splitcoast team is really looking forward to having a lot of fun, meeting many wonderful SCS friends (new and old) and having a great time in Florida.
Yeah! I will be there!! My DH paid my way. Just booked my airline ticket, hotel reservations and purchased my tickets to the convention. Than SCS for the discount! Can't wait!
Now that's a wonderful husband Jose.
Mine took me to Michaels yesterday for some wonderful clearance supplies. We just needed a coupon - :-) today has one so maybe we can go back:rolleyes:

It's just 6 short weeks away!
 6 weeks?! I cannot be skinny by then! *Oh well!* I'm lookin' forward with you! ;)
Ladies, have a great time. Unfortunately, finances won't let me do both. I'll be in CO and UT, visit my sister in CO 7/31 - 8/2, then off to UT for Genealogy Research, and Stampin'Up! Convention. (Splitcoaststampers dinner on 8/5.)

I have been trying to find a way to get to CHA but I don't think it is going to happen. I was wiling to drive and camp in a tent if I had to, but it just doesn't look like I can make it happen!
Would anyone going to the show be willing to buy a few items there for me? If you would, please send me a PM. I'll pay for you to ship it to me from wherever you live (unless that's Bora Bora). AND make you a cute gift! Stamped and everything!
Booked my flights and hotel. All I have to do is get my show tickets and book transportation from/to airport.
Can't wait! Has there been any talk about a SCS meeting?
