I live in the Fox River Valley. Born and raised here. Guess I'll die here too. Hubby won't take somewhere warm. I freeze 9 months of the year. Oh well, I've accepted it finally. "One day at a time" and you can accomplish almost anything.
LOL.......I thought it was only me...............since we are new to WI....now I feel better! I too am cold..even inside...ALREADY!!!! AHHHH!;)
Hi all I am headed to the show in madison and am staying there for the weekend in a hotel. Looking to meet new people or do lunch. Anyone interested please get back to me so we can plan something.

I agree I would rather have snow!
I giggled at your other post about VSN......I circled my calender earlier today! I know DH thinks I am sick! I really look forward to VSN and do all I can to participate!
Wow! I just found this thread and am very impressed. I grew up in Medford, left the state for about 10 years and recently moved back to Ripon (Fox Valley).
Mandy, if you organize any swap/events, could you add me to your list??

For those who aren't already aware, AZMommy is putting together the 2nd Annual "Mad-City" Madness shoebox swap on March 3rd and registration is open. Click HERE!!!!! for more info. It is well worth it, even if you have a bit of a drive to get there, I went last year and had a lot of fun and got many new ideas. Not to mention putting faces to names with some of the awesome ladies here on SCS!
Oh yeah, I forgot to add, if there are any other events within a few hours drive of Madison, please keep me posted - I don't mind the drive! I had a blast at the Northwoods Gathering in Wausau last year.

I'm going to see how my March/April fill up. I'd like to go if I can swing it.
Stefanie has planned one in May/June down in Milwaukee for the past 2 years. Keep an eye out for her info as well to see if she's doing it again.

ps - thanks for the plug for Mad-City

I am in Middleton, right next door to Madison. I look forward to making some online friends and chatting with you soon!

I recently found the SCS website through a friend. I love it. It's so addicting looking at samples of what others have done with the stamp set. I'm in Milwaukee.
I am west of you in Waukesha--closer to Wales. You will love this site--so many great ideas and very friendly people--but keep an eye on your wallet--not that we have pick pockets--just too many new "toys" you HAVE to get! ;) ;) ;)
I'm looking for some stamp camps or workshops in the Milwaukee area. I've seen the one in madison coming up in April. Unfortunately I coach spring tennis and we have a match that day. Anything on the calendar for the Milwaukee area this spring?
Thanks
Pam
Hey, there, newbie Dork!
I followed you here. Was curious to see where you are at.
My Bro lives in Menomonee Falls. Will be out that way later this month. Wanna meet at Michael's???
I am in Prairie Du Sac (Sauk City) just north west of Madison.

Hi!
Well we finally got all that snow everyone wanted (except me). I'm from Mt Horeb (The Trollway of the World) Hey we have 5 roundabouts and I don't know why?!
I don't mean to sound dumb or anything but when is the stamp camp in April in Madison and where? While I'm at it do any of you have ideas for a birthday card to a daughter-in-law that I really don't care too much for but like? I've been looking at the gallery and can't find anything that strikes my fancy. Any help would be appreciated. You can always count on a Badger right?
Hi! I just found this thread. I'm from Platteville! My parents still live in Baraboo so I do go up there fairly frequently now. And I'm often in Madison because by first passion is knitting (sorry, but just being truthful,) and Madison has a wide variety of wonderful yarn shops. I'd love to meet anyone from any of those areas for lunch sometime. Just pm me!
Location: ... in the middle of nowhere in Wisconsin.

Hi -
I'm from Lone Rock - just west of Spring Green (think Frank Lloyd Wright). I think we ought to set up a get together for all those Wisconsinites who live in south western Wisconsin. Wonder if we could find a place big enough.
If anyone knows of a get-together being planned, be sure to post it. I'd be interested if it was over a weekend.

On the "Cheesehead" forum I posted a very small SCS get-together yesterday. Go see! When we meet that day, we could maybe plan a bigger one. I hope that this goes!
Does anyone know if there are any future swaps being organized in southern Wisconsin?
I went to the one in Madison in March and had a blast--it was the first and for sure not the last one I have attended. I was not able to make the one in Menasha last weekend.
I know there have been some in the past in Milwaukee--was just wondering if anyone is setting one up.
Hey, I'm a misplaced Wisconsinite---does that count? I married a Kansan and got myself stuck in Kansas! I graduated from Oconomowoc (you should hear the Kansans pronounce it!) I lived in Oregon, Clintonville, Bloomington, and Brooklyn Wisconsin. My parents live in Platteville now.
I know right where Oconomowoc is... I grew up in and graduated from HS in Watertown, WI.... Not sure if this is still true today, but back then Cooney was one of our biggest rivals in sports... (not sure if they still refer to Oconomowoc as Cooney?).... It was so much fun at games etc. Go Goslings! (Wttn's school mascot!) ;) So greetings from one cheesehead to another! (Sounds like I'm from outer space instead of WI!) ;)
