I was born in Elkhorn, grew up in Fort Atkinson and graduated from Whitewater High School. My hubby's family has a "cabin" near Solon Springs so we get over in that neck of the woods at least once a year. I currently live in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, about 4 hours north of Green Bay. My sister lives in DePere, and I have family near Genoa City, Burlington and Lake Geneva.
I grew up in Platteville, went to high school in Dodgeville, college in EauClaire and Madison. Decided Madison had everything we were looking for in a city (except for warm winter weather) and now we have settled in on the cozy west side of Madison.
I actually haven't been out of the state for 11 years (except for ice cream in the U.P.)
I haven't seen my little village named yet... I live in St. Nazianz. I'm near Manitowoc (also haven't seen that one) and Sheboygan.
Green Bay and Appleton are about an hour away.
DH grew up in Reedsville.
I'm not a big Packer fan. Mostly cuz I'm not a sports person. My sil is the biggest packer fan I've ever known! I should say, if I had to choose a team, it'd be the Packers.
I, too, love the changing seasons, though not the extremes of them. Brats & cheesecurds! Yum!
Anyone ever go to the WI Scrapbook Convention? I've been going since 2002. Glad it's going to be back in Milwaukee this coming year!!

WOW! I just saw this thread for the first time! I am from Waukesha- born and raised, big ol'cheesehead! (And proud of that too!) I work in Mukwonago. You gotta love all the Indian names! Lived here all of my life and wouldn't think of moving. I've done alot of traveling and been to alot of places but none better than home. GO PACK! (they got way too much work to do but we back them anyway- maybe next year!) GO BADGERS! Just give me a big ol'fish fry and some tartar sauce... a side of cheese curds... and a concrete shake from Culvers... ;)
