So the Madison Expo was the place to be. Thank you to Jody and company for the welcome I received. It was all wonderful and I'm happy to have met some really nice CURDS.
I too won a door prize $10 certificate at the Bruin (sp)booth. The one on the far end with ALL the stuff you thought never had and needed to get.
Happy Black Friday. Hope everyone gets their 'SPECIAL' of the day.
Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving. Took Mom into my brothers and had a good day. Good food and fun seeing the 'wee' ones. I got to hold my grand niece and nephew (they will be 1 on 12/13). I was in heaven as they were in a snuggly mood and I took advantage of it. When all the kids (Ages: 8, 6, 3, 1, 1) started getting restless and noisy...mom and I went home. It was getting dark so it was time.
Today I am just relaxing. (I do not go out shopping with all the crowds and 'crazies' out there.)Checking things on the web, watching TV, cleaning the craft room, and some stamping. (Yes, cleaining the craft room is relaxing as I am taking my time and sorting through all my goodies.)
Stay safe and warm.

Awwwwwwww, that really is one of the best highs on the planet, don't you think?

LOL! I love this part, too.

I met a new little 2 year old at our Thanksgiving Eve (see if you can follow this ... DS's GF's sister's DD). She was pretty shy at first with all these new people in a new environment but as time went on she got more comfortable and warmed up. When it was time for me to go she was all smiles and spontaneously called out, "Bye, Lady!" 'The Lady' became my name for next few days, LOL!
There are things about San Francisco that I really, really love. There are things about San Francisco that scare the willies out of me. I have very mixed feelings about my DS putting down roots there. ... sigh ...
Thanksgiving was an interesting affair with three 20somethings orchestrating and no one really in charge. It was all pretty relaxed, a lot of fun, pieces were traditional but it was definitely more Bohemian than New England.

Hope everyone had a great day! I sure did. One of our best yet.
Tonight I made my daughter's baby shower card.
I won't be shopping Black Friday...if anyone else is....enjoy and good luck!
Awwwwwww, how exciting! (Alli, I may have asked before, you may have said before, as Emily (SkyNacho) can attest, I have zero memory (dang CRS!) ... is this grandbaby #1 or is GrammaWorld a place you're already familiar with?)

How fun, Alli. There's nothing quite as special as the excitement of kiddos at Christmas, don't you think?
(Personally, with all you have on your plate right now, I might be tempted to do this one Christmas in the Bahamas or something. Easter will be fun, and by next Christmas everything should be a lot more settled. lol)

It is fun to watch the holidays through the eyes of the 'wee ones'.
With the 'ugly' (dark, rainy) days we have been having, I have been hiding in my craft room and working on projects. Working on the BD cards for Dec/Jan and some other things I've wanted to try...helps pass the time. Just hope my mojo doesn't stop working.

3 - 6 expected here in the Madison area. No shoveling for me this year, yipeeeee!!!!!!
If you have to be out and about tomorrow, be safe (Don't you hate drivers who totally forget how to drive in the snow ... every year ... sheesh!)

I've been very happy with the lack of snow this year! Isn't it funny..I'm 35 miles northeast ish of Madison and we are looking at at most 2-4.
Gotta love it. Wonder what Milwaukee and the IL border folk are going to be looking at?
I love the first snow!
And fresh snow at Christmas.
And then it can go away. lol!

We're near Fond du Lac, and I think we're going to miss the snow.:(
I'm actually ready for a pretty white snow! I love each season for it's own beauty. the fact that we have 4 distinct seasons makes WI a perfect location!

I'd be more ready for snow if I had new tires on my car...I'm almost threadbare.
But you know, priorities... I stopped at Hobby Lobby, Joanns, Michaels, and Archiver's after work tonight. Have an exchange I need to do back at Joanns tomorrow morning, but now I'm ready for a holiday card/gift tag party tomorrow, provided I can get there! :p
I am already for snow. Just got back from spending 11 days in BABYLAND (aka as Milwaukee). I had a wonderful time with the kids and my grandson. He is growing so fast, almost 4 months old now and so very fun to play with. But am hoping to get snowed in to stamp and sew now that I am back home!

I have the same priorities!!! My hubby jokes with me that it's a good thing the gas fairy comes and puts gas in my car, cause otherwise I'd be stranded a lot!!! He is the money fairy, too! I would walk around with nothing in my purse except a checkbook if he didn't go to the ATM for both of us!!! LOL!

I think I'm going to put up Christmas decorations inside tomorrow. I already have the outside done, thank goodness!

JMR thanks for taking the snow to MN with you again! In Hartford we have maybe up to 2" but it's beautiful out and melting away! Tomorrow morning I head to Las Vegas and get to see some scrap books that my aunt and cousin have done since I saw them last about 2 years ago! I'll be there for work for 2 days then arrive back in Milwaukee at midnight on Tuesday. After that it's DIG IN to getting my Christmas cards done so that Ann & I can start on cookie baking!
Diane, have a wonderful time with your LV family. Sounds like a busy few days (work, family, turn around trip), but somehow, I think that's the way you roll, lol!

Hope everyone enjoyed the white stuff and didn't hurt themselves shoveling. I did our long driveway and then came in and put up a 3' Christmas Tree with a few decorations. This is the first time in at least 5 years that I put up a tree and decorations and first time I did it before the 15th of December. Hope it helps brighten the season for me.

Have any of you seen the Teresa Collins Stampmaker in person at any of the local stores in the area? I'm interested in maybe buying but I would really like to try it out or at least see the thing first.
Tricia
I'd love to go anywhere it's above 30 degrees. I think I've gotten soft with Winter. I feel like I never warmed up and now that I'm heading back I hear the temps in MIL are single digits.
Hey Robyn maybe you could knit me one of your beautiful sweaters to layer up with

I also love each season for it's own beauty. I'm having a great time with my new drive (just moved 45 min. north) along the grand Mississippi. Each day the river seems to look different depending on the lighting, sun, clouds, geese, eagles, fog, etc. At first I thought "what have I done?" Now I love it!

I used to live along the banks of the Mississippi, in Cape Girardeau, MO! Loved the area's of slow, fat expansions and the narrower, fast flowing, river! BUT, we decided we got too much ice and not enough snow, so we kept going north! We also kept going to smaller and smaller towns. My husband was born in NYC, and I was born about 20 miles east on Long Island. We met and got married in Orlando, FL. Now we are in south central Wisconsin, in a town of 904! The 4 is from when we moved in!!! ;) hehehehe

Fort Atkinson- Home of the Fireside Theater! It is about a 1/2 hour away, maybe 45 minutes.

and I was there last night--in the middle of the messy, snowy roads. My Brother and SIL live three blocks from the Fireside and they gave roomie and I tickets for "The Child" and we went last night. Great buffet dinner--gotta love their sweet potato souffle! The performance started with an hour of Christmas songs and then the musical. It is the story of the birth of Jesus as told through the eyes of Joseph. It was very cool!

Barb, how lucky. I love the productions put on by the Fireside and the food has always been great. The 'Child' sounds like a very interesting show. I've been eyeing the 2011 season and trying to figure out how to fit it into my budget.

Sweet Potato souffle @ the Fireside is my favorite!

Hope all is going well and everyone is staying safe during the blizzard!
Yes! It's raining here right now, but lots of the white stuff overnight tonight ... tomorrow morning will be quite a sight I have a feeling.
I'm settled in and making cards (yay ... it's been a long time since I've had the time) and holiday cookies/treats. Bring it on, old man (winter)! lol!

Can you believe I don't have my Christmas cards done? I've got the card front done on about 15 minus the tinsel and ribbon trim. I'll be finishing them all today as we're snowed in on a Mississippi river bluff! We're in a small house we're renting until we move next Sat.!
