can't do April 16 because it's Palm Sunday weekend and I have commitments here. I LOVE the plans for Sept, but it's a little too early for me to make the commitment. I'll keep my eye on the thread and as soon as I know, I'll post a "yay" or "nay". Boy, I would sure love to be part of the Retreat!

I think we have six+ for this so far... and I think the owner would prefer I collect the funds here and then give her one check, so will have everyone who wants to reserve their spot send the funds to me, and I will pay the retreat center. As we have to have at least six, we will have to make it non-refundable though it can be transferrable if you find someone to substitute and pay you back for it. Does that make sense to everyone?
I'll PM those on the list with my address and you can mail the checks to me. Please PM me to let me know when you send it so I will watch for it and track who is postal on it. I won't cash checks til I know we have at least six deposits in also.
Hi All --- The April date is coming up but doesn't look like it will happen if we don't have a location and since it is Palm Sunday weekend.
Angela just sent me a message and asked me to call her on Friday at the store to see when we can arrnage a time and date there in the future so I hope to know more that day.

Boxes are everywhere because I have had to work and commute from Falls Church...now it's time to get busy!
I would like to join the retreat-have to wait till the end of next week to register.
(to put down the $70).
Also- I can host at my house on April 30th if the 16th doesn't pan out...

Hi Kim -- I don't think it is that much out of the way! Certainly looks like you have a great craft room -- is that in your home or is it a store/business!? I have major craft room envy!!! WOW! How many do you think you can seat?
Looks like Haymarket is off Route 66, between Front Royal and DC, right?
How about the rest of you on here... is that a workable location for you?
Perhaps we can hold one at Kim's in Haymarket sometime, and maybe one at Chris' new place in Stephens City, VA, sometime over the months of May - August -- i.e. maybe one in May, one in July, and then we'll have the retreat in September?

This is my craft room in my home. Depending on if you are scrapper or stamper (scrappers need more space ). I have 3 8' tables 3 six foot tables and 2 card tables that will fit in my craft room and the living room that is connected to my room. I am always open to hosting events! So count me in!

Haymarket would actually be great for me. I live south of haymarket on the Northern Neck of Virginia. And Haymarket is not too too far from No. Va. What do others think about the location?
Terrie and Carol -- FYI, got your cards with your checks. Holding on to them until I get everyone's in and am certain we have six to commit and reserve.
Well, obviously the April 16th date isn't working too...
I'm going to leave it open until we have locations booked for certain now that weather is warming up...
Are you still interested in the September retreat? Are you able to commit or send a reservation fee? We have 4 for certain so far but until we have 6, I can't reserve it really...
I received Chris' deposit check as well... just waiting on one more to see if we are still on for certain. I contacted the center and they are still holding the date for us for now! Haven't cashed anyone's checks yet, want to be sure we have a sixth committed for certain. Pass on the word to others too!
Hi Karen -- I'll be sure to watch for it. We are only a couple hours apart now so should be quick!
That should give us 6 confirmed so I'll be able to contact her and reserve for certain. I'm starting to plan for it already... looking for fun prizes, projects and goodies for us all!

Absolutely, Karen. I can do that or take you further up towards Hagerstown and such even if there is a closer one there to catch, as I will be headed up there anyhow to go home!
Karen -- Your check arrived last night too, so I think we have our six confirmations now and I will try to get to the bank this weekend with them, and get the fee paid to the retreat center within the week. I want to go by it in person and meet her, check out the arrangements and such and start brainstorming for it!

Hi Everyone -- Do we have any others who can attend June 4th???
For the retreat: I stopped by to see the center earlier this week and its a great big house, lots of space and very relaxing/comfy. Its just short of a mile up a road from the Potomac River/Harpers Ferry/C&O Canal, a beautiful place to just stroll along or go for a walk!!! That is across the river from the historic part and town of Harpers Ferry too, a nice cute town to walk around in if you like. Cute little shops and restaurants, ice cream shops, etc. Bring your walking shoes.
Do we have any one here who is a vendor or demo for any companies that wants to have/bring their items for that retreat? I can check with a few demos I know of that do SU or CTMH for example if any of you want to have them come to it. I'm signed up under CTMH but haven't really done it other than for my own supplies now and then...
Do any of you want a workshop from one of them while we're retreating?
