Kyla - morning first day I got to sleep in in over a month-woo hoo. Will bring the penny blacks for sure.
If anyone has Thomas Kinkade images i would love to use them.
Hello! Just thought I'd check in and see what's going on. Having kids home for spring break is eating into my play time. Of course, I could be doing some spring cleaning in the house, but not only doesn't it really feel like spring, it's hard to clean around the commotion of having a few extra people moving around. At least that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. :o) So I popped a pan of lasagna into the oven and have escaped the lunacy of listening to sons competing on a video game by retreating into my craft room where I've yet to actually make anything, but seem to be tidying up from having made over 200 cards in the past couple of weeks. I can actually see desk surfaces so I know I am getting somewhere. I don't know what gets into me when I'm crafting away but I manage to spread and sprawl all my stuff over any flat surface. It's no wonder I have 3 pair of scissors because I keep losing them when I cover them up with more "stuff". EEEeuuuuuwwwww - I just looked out my window (my craft room's in the basement) and it's snowing - rats! Anyway, enjoy the rest of your day!
Hello! I have been *attempting* to avoid spending time online - working from home with no colleagues is not good for one's discipline! Anyway, I decided to check in today so I will de-lurk to say hi!!! Also glad you got my money peggy, I'm working on convincing one of my buddies to sign up... hopefully she'll decide soon. Other good restaurants around Lister are Fiore's, Avenue Pizza (okay this is a bar but the pizza is full of cheesy awesomeness), Twisted Fork and as mentioned by Heyjudet the High level diner. Earls is also near by and if we hit Whyte there are a plethora of choices.

Earls would be a good reliable bet...
close on a well-lit route, good excercise (but not oo much) after good food!
big too
with proper seats...
no squishing up onto precarious twig barstools....
those are no longer cool to me~!
vote for earl...

Are we collecting cards for the troops this year, I remember last year Carolyn (heartwig) came and picked them up. I've got some, and could work on some more in the meantime if we are doing it again...

That's a good shout, Anna, haven't done any cards for the troops since way before Christmas! I'm actually staying right to the end this time so may get to meet Carolyn if she does drop in to collect cards. She sent me a whole load of 'spare' goodies to use for Hospice and I've not uploaded any of the stuff we did with it yet!
i have to double check...but im sure we can collect cards, and find a home for it...

Peggy, for the Stampscape class, I would like unmounted stamps if you have EZ mounts that I can buy so that I can mount them to something....makes it much easier to use them. Thanks.
Also Peggy, should'nt my name be added to list of people that would like to do the Stampscase Class, not just listed that I would like to preorder the stamps.

I hope that the number of people isn't scaring you off! So many of us haven't mastered the brayer yet (including me), that to be able to watch someone who has (in our minds), is a wonderful learning experience.
I, myself, am just happy to get some pointer from you! Thanks agian, for agreeing to show us how you make your wonderful landscape cards!

Ruth - I would love to see your cards that you do for the hospice. I was thinking of doing up some cards for the extended care hospital down the road from me. (Same place where my mom was in her last days). Would love to get some ideas for you! Please upload some!!
If there is still someone who would like to sign up for Anna's class, I would be willing to take my name off if someone else missed out and wanted to sign up. Let me know!
Good morning from a bright and sunny Fraser Valley. I'm off to sit in the sun for half an hour and feel those rays!
Kyla, I really just make generic type cards for any and every occasion, lots of cuttlebug backgrounds and punch out shapes. Nothing fancy but people appreciate a handmade card. I also donate all my swaps so they are not just my cards. Birthdays, thank yous and thinking of you cards are most in demand, cards for males and kids are popular too. I use sets like Fun and Fast notes (and the similar retired sets) as you can vary the colours and you have all the different occasions + the Marvy Circle, Oval and Square punches to make layering easy. The older ladies love the flowery type cards and OSW with ribbon and punches are a good way to go there without taking too much time! I actually don't have anything to upload right now as it's all in the Hospice and the Society office already. Need to take my camera in next time to take some pics!
Actually making some more cards like this could be my project for EEIII! I wish I'd taken pics of the 100 or so Christmas Cards I did for Hospice. I always forget!!!
I was just talking to Dawn and she told me about this...count me in too.
Haven't been to one yet ...Looking forward it.
I'll send a cheque or paypal in the next couple of days ..if that's ok?
Thanks
