Count me in as well. I will probably be in Edm around noon, and plan on spending the afternoon at MacPhee Warehouse helping people buy material for the Sewing Retreat that is being held the same weekend. Have to check it at Schaffer around 4 so depending on what I do then, whether I go back to the North side of Edm and have supper with my girl friend or stay around LIster is debateable. Time will tell.

It will be great to get together before Sat and find out how everyone has been.

2 weeks from today I leave for Fawcett, then hit Edm on the 22nd. How time flies when one is having fun.

Good thing I have all my swaps done.

Now I can concentrate on what I have to bring with me.....you know the drill....
hopefully I will figure it out before I leave...lol

A great start to coffee on Friday!! 7 already! Anyone else able to make it??? Should be a good gab fest as usual!!

Up early as usual. One pot of coffee down, so I am ready to do my errands. Taking the dogs in for their hair cut, Dr's appt in Leduc, with a stop at a couple of scrap stores of course, then back to pick up the punters (dogs). Not sure if our trailer is ready to be picked up (it had better be), so not sure if it is a lake weekend or not. I have a hard time with the uncertainty of it all. Do I pack or not?? Oh well, I should be able to manage.

So - does everyone have their swaps completely done?? Or are there some procrastinators in our group?? Come on - you can tell me, I would let out any secrets!! lol

I haven't started on mine yet :( Just been too busy with other things. I get back from my cruise on the 17th so I'll have to do them after that. Can't believe I left it this late.

I am completely finished my swaps....
.
.
.
conceptualizing them anyway *LOL!*
.
.
.

now to just find some uninterrupted time ....
If i can 'kit them up' for myself this weekend
( a mother's day all to myself... is that selfish? or just unlikely? lol!)
and do them up in stages all next week I will be in good shape...
I have a lot of stuff cut already...

any requests for 3-d sbswap item... ?
I have the both the popups
and basket and mtchbox
but I simply ***CaNNot*** decide, dahlings!
I love them all!!!

I don't wanna double up if everybody in the group is using them...
plmk!

Does anyone have the #2 daisy die cut flower in the new catty that I could borrow at EE3?
I have my own Big Kick and plates, so, would just need to borrow the die.
I would really like to cut a selection using different colors until I can get my own die.

Happy Mother's Day Everyone

Ok, yes, I'm taking the bus! It just works out better for times and I refuse to pay 600 for a plane ticket. Stubborn or what? I actually don't mind the ride out. Diane is picking me up at the bus depot--I get in about 6:15 Friday evening. Thanks for the offer Deb

Have a good one ladies, I have my Gkids today and we are going out to the nursery for brunch and to buy some flowers for my new front porch and walk

btw--my swaps are just at the beginning stage!

Happy Mother's Day to all!
Sure looking forward to the BIG weekend! Coffee sounds great on Friday night followed by a wee bit of wine I think?! I am picking Robin up on the way through from Calgary and then we are driving up early afternoon...after a couple stops along the way and staying in the dorms. Nothing concrete at this point but starting with coffee and seeing some old faces and meeting new ones sounds great!
Carrie sorry I haven't gotten back to you on the Copics but I will soon. I am just learning to use them as well and keep learning more but never enough time to really really sink my teeth into them.
So...can anyone tell where the Dollaramas are in Calgary (preferably NW) as I tried to Google but only got a noodle...

Hope everyone is having dinner cooked for them tonight or some other form of spoiling today!!!

I've been busy going through things and trying to get rid of stamps and such that I don't use anymore. It's kinda hard sometimes getting rid of these things.

Default on the topic of out with the old...

I used to joke that no one from the customer satisfaction desk ever calls about your husband !
like,
to ask you 'if you are happy with your long term provider '
or 'offer a new, low-rate husband, just transfer your old balance...'

ie:
"we are currently offering a special...!!!!!
your choice
fireman/ soccer coach/ handyman combo
or
fortune 500 ceo/ outdoorsman/ former olympic beach volleyball player combo
or
Architect/greenpeace spokesperson/ chef combo

all for the introductory low price of one old used up husband who doesn't change litebulbs,
one overflowing kitchen trashcan
and a pile of man-laundry from the floor next to the hamper.

bonus!!!
one lil red sportscar that doesn't have room for a carseat -for your own personal use and one ugly housekeepin nanny
if you act now!

don't delay!!!

rotflmbo!

*although* up until this year I despaired in my marriage because my dh seemed incapable of learning any of the "husbandly arts" up to my standards
I feel a little bit guilty repeating this...
**BECAUSE!!!****
this weekend my DH did many thoughtful mother's day things celebrating 'me'
and last week he was great when I ended up in an ambulance and he waited with me all day in emerg...

I guess it is a good thing they don't call, too.....
saved me from myself!

Good Morning

I'm trying to pack light, so probably won't be bringing any heavy tools.....

I've decided to bring my (large) bag of bits from Kleenex boxes to make into cards--some already started. That seems to be my style 'some already started', I have a lot of that in my stamp room!!
Another thing in that category is my shoebox, yikes!

Helen, which dentist are you going to? and when is your appointment? Why do you have to come to PR to see a dentist, don't they have any where you live????

Let me know your schedule, and as it gets closer to the day, we can exchange phone #'s and get together.
EEek! It's almost the long weekend! I've got to get busy and pack up the kids and all that jazz. I have to take a little bit of stuff to make some swaps for next weekend after! Wow ! it's almost time! Pm'ing you shortly! Judy
What day are you planning to come to town? I have to go to the dentists on Friday..... I'm not supposed to drive after so I'll walk. Then I shouldn't do any shopping or make any major decisions as I will be under the influence..... talk to you soon!:-D

maybe we should do coffee or shopping on Saturday. Do you shop in town or at the top of the hill....as is the trend these days. When it gets closer to the long weekend we could make plans and see if it works out.

She's actually kind of cute even if she is drooling....

Hi I guess it's time to start carefully packing stuff up. I think we have a ways to go from the car to the stamping room.... course it depends on your vehicle and if you have to bring a passenger or not! I have n't been known to pack light!
I have a friend that packs all her stuff in a little box and that's it. She carefully plans her stuff out ahead of time. I've always thought that was a good idea.... I start out like that and then at the last minute I start chucking in more stuff' just in case!"

I've decided to bring my (large) bag of bits from Kleenex boxes to make into cards--some already started. That seems to be my style 'some already started', I have a lot of that in my stamp room!!
Another thing in that category is my shoebox, yikes!
Hi Nancy, I'm curious to see what you do with those bitsies! I have a collection too! We'll have to sit close by you!
