Wow! A Shoebox Swap. Our Stampin Group just did one on Monday night and it was loads of fun. We stamped 11 cards in 21/2 hrs. They wanted 5 minute cards but some of them were more than 5 minutes. We also did this at Christmas and got some great ideas. We had it at the Ada County Library on 5 mile and Victory. They have a rather large room with tables. I would be willing to help plan this Shoebox Swap. I can get the Caldwell Library Free. They charge $5.00 if we have refreshments. I live in Nampa on Cherry Lane where they are building the new Costco and Target Stores. This sounds like loads of fun. I always like to stamp.

Woo Hoo Another one!!! I'll put you on the list! The library sounds neat! I am just down the street from the Ada County one, I'll check into it.
I am interested if there is still room! I will be attending 2nd session of convention so I will be gone the 16th through the 23rd but other than that I am good!
Brittney, I'll put you down...if the 6th or 7th works for you?
Wonderful.....MichelleRanae is scheduled to have her baby today.....I know see was going to be out of town for the end of June, but think she would be back if we do it the 6th or 7th...
I am actually going to be gone until July 9. I know it's hard for everyone's schedules to match, so if the 6 or 7 works best, that's okay! I'll try to get to the next one!

I'm so excited about this! I'm just waiting to hear a time. Sundays won't work for me, but I should be able to work out about any other time if we have some notice.
OK, Sorry...moving!!! I just got into my new house....It looks like most everyone agreed that Thurs or Fri would be fine...so I am going to say Thurs July 6th is the date!!! I have a line on 2-3 places so I will let you know when I hear more!!! I am not online at the house yet and can only get on when I am at a Hot Spot or at my folks, but I will let you know as soon as I get solid info....PM me or post here if there are questions or comments!!!
We are a go for the afternoon of Thursday, July 6th at Cut 'n Paste in Boise...they have a huge room off the store....we will just need to bring munchies!!!!
It can run through the afternoon, and even into the evening if people want.... so long as we're all cleaned up and ready to leave by 8:45 to give the store time to close.
Store information:
Cut 'n Paste
3321 Cole Road
(in Cole Village Shopping Center at the NW corner of Cole & Ustick)
There will be no charge for using the space. Refreshments are allowed... just no smoking or alcohol.
The store's phone number is 672-9999.
We need to get a pretty good idea of how many so we don't go over, but I think we are good so far!
Please post again if this is good for you and I will get a solid list going!!!!
Oooooh! I'm gonna miss it - if indeed it is held on July 6 - will be out of town to the Oregon coast. Please ladies, if the date for some reason changes, let me know - otherwise will catch the next one. lila
I'm thinking we should keep the swap pretty casual...you can do whatever...we will be a pretty intimate group and don't have a huge time constraint, so I would say......Use your imagination...Card, 6X6 page...3D project, Whatever...We will get a # as soon as possible so we have time to work on the project.
What does everyone think of having a doorprize? Everyone could bring something, anything, with a minimum worth of say $5...and we can draw #s or something?
Does June 20th sound ok for a cut off date on signing up?
Tell me about a shoebox swap. Does that mean I bring "ingredients" for my project and demonstrate it?
You would bring 1 completed project and the "ingredients" for all the others to make it....if it is a complicated project we could have you demonstrate it....at least that is the way I have done it in the past...if anyone else has a different way I would love to hear it...
July 6th is fine. What time do you think we will start? A door prize is a great idea. We all like door prizes. At least my Red Hat group does. We always have prizes. Count me in. Thank YOu Rachel for setting up this Shoe Box Swap. it would be nice if we could have the Shoe Box Swap every couple of months. I always like to stamp whenever I can and learn new things.
ok count me in too. But I'm not sure I know what a shoebox swap is?

Looks like we are on for 8 w/ maybe 15 so far...if we gave everyone 10 min each project it would be a quick get together...so we could have quite a bit of time for each project....which is good for some of us slower stampers.
Since it is a week day I'd like to get some feedback about what time id good for everyone.

How fun, but since that is the week of the 4th, we will still be out of town. Bummer, maybe next time :(
I am hoping to be in Idaho that week....don't know for sure yet so can't commit. I may not know til the last minute.....if that is the case can I stop in and visit with you gals and skip the swap/stamping? I love to meet other SCSers and we still plan on moving back to Idaho
