Hey, all! Does Thanksgiving wear you out? Don't want to go anywhere near the malls the weekend afterwards? Well, then, join us for
Tired of Turkey Shoe Box Swap!!!
We will be having a get together on Saturday Nov 26th (the Saturday after Thanksgiving). This will be another 'you choose the occasion for your card' swap.
This one will be super, super, casual. Bring a card kit, $5.00 to help cover the cost of the facilities, a brown bag lunch and drink of choice. If you don't want to bring food, there is pizza, Skyline, McDonalds, Oriental, and a Subway near by.
There is a fridge, m/w, and stove/oven if needed.
Since we need to know when to stop making card kits, we are going to limit the participants to 12. Let me know if you can make it so we can reserve your spot.
TIME: 10AM until about 5PM

Bring all supplies needed to create your masterpiece (quality pre-cut card stock, stamps, ink, embellishments, etc).
Bring along a little extra for any oopisies. Please make two samples of your card so it is easier for everyone to see your wonderful creation. Also, please include written instructions as necessary. Don't forget to add your name, we love to direct our ooohs and aaahs to the correct person.
Please mark all supplies you bring so we know who to contact when things are left behind!
You do NOT need to include envelopes if your card is the standard size (5 1/2 x 4 1/4). If you are making an odd size card, we would LOVE it if there is a envelope for that size!
Space will be provided for a garage sale items. HOWEVER: YOU will be responsible for any items you bring and for collecting your own money. Please let us know ASAP as space is limited.
Don't forget your camera!
Have any handmade cards or card fronts in excellent condition? We will be collecting cards for Operation Write Home (OWH). PLEASE!! NO GLITTER! It shows up at night with night vision goggles.

DIRECTIONS
Take 275 WEST to exit #16 (State Route 50/Greendale/Lawrenceburg/Aurora). Go straight thru the light at the end of the ramp. You will need to get in the right-hand lane in order to go straight.
Turn right at the next light. (You will see a sign for Perfect North Slopes pointing the way to go)
At the T-intersection, turn left onto Indiana State Route 1 NORTH. You do not stop at this intersection. (You will see another sign for Perfect North Slopes pointing the way to go. It was sure nice of them to help us out !! LOL!)
Go approx 3 miles and turn right onto Salt Fork. Just before you get to Salt Fork, you will pass a red barn next to a two-story white house. You will see a metal Lions sign as soon as you turn onto Salt Fork. This road has a lot of trees on it. Hopefully by October 1st, you will have some lovely fall color to enjoy!
Go approx 4.5 miles until you reach a stop sign and turn left onto Jackson Ridge (there will be a NO OUTLET sign directly across from you at this stop sign).
Go approx 1/2 mile passing a graveyard on your left to another stop sign. Turn right onto Salt Fork (yep, same street name as before).
Go approx 3/10 of a mile passing St Teresa's on the right. Turn right onto Lamplight Drive. If you pass the firehouse, you have gone too far.
The Bright Lion's Club will be the second gravel drive on your left. The parking lot is next to the building which is cream color and has a flag pole out front.

Carol - I have added you to the list. Thanks for letting me know I forgot the time! It will be from 10AM and will probably go until about 5PM or whenever we get done. Just bring your money with you, they are OK with us paying on the day of the event.

I have been trying to work on building my Stampin Up business and went out on a limb to schedule some workshops for Christmas cards..

Count me in! I just found out my daughters are coming home from college for Thanksgiving -- but then they are heading back to IU for the Purdue game on Saturday -- and my husband will be hunting. So I'm free to stamp! YEAH!
Hoping this doesn't fillup before I can figure out my schedule!

This year we rented a limo to get us back and forth to the stores so that we don't have to fight the traffic or the parking! And we have a full bar in the back - Bring on the Mimosa's!

This year we rented a limo to get us back and forth to the stores so that we don't have to fight the traffic or the parking! And we have a full bar in the back - Bring on the Mimosa's!

I too am one of the crazy folks out shopping at 4AM on Black Friday, so I have to make sure that I get everything done for this swap early. Wow, sure hope that I can do it & I sure wish that we were going to have a limo & Mimosa's!!
My daughters would really go for the limo ideas. I used to go every year when I worked, but after I retired it wasn't worth getting up for! Retirement = Lazy!
I saw Kathy yesterday. She said she wants to join us. Can you add her name to the list Pam or Vicky? The way Oct. went, the swap will be here before we know it.

Oh my, so many of my scrapping friends are attending! I just need to see you guys again. I have so many christmas card classes planned, I hate to commit at this time, BUT when you get close to #12 the final -- let me check my where-a-bouts again!! Maybe some of my sanity will have returned.

Girlfriend you need to go ahead and plan you card and then haul your shopped-out self over to play with us on Saturday!!! If you truly can't make it, let me know what your schedule looks like for the next week or two. Maybe we can meet for lunch!

Gosh, I sure hope that you'll be able to join us. Since it will be a bare bones event - bring your lunch or plan on ordering out,no goody bags or door prizes, etc. Pat, Linda & I don't have to do much, so it won't be bad for us, but it sounds like you have alot of things on your plate, so we certainly understand if you can't make it. So if you don't, you'll have to catch up with us in the Spring for that Swap.

I had a Christmas card in mind but it did not work out. I am now working on a totally new design, not sure if it will be Christmas or not but I am still leaning that way.
I have a question: Who plans on bringing their lunch and who wants to get something brought in or go out? I was thinking of getting something out but if everybody is brown bagging it, then I can do that, too.

I am having a Stampin Up Workshop on Nov 29th. We are going to do 5 cards using the Stocking punch. The class is $15, but if you buy the punch the total will be $25. That like getting the class for $5. I live in Hidden Valley, In. I know Pam and Vicky are coming. Anyone else?
