I'm starting this thread to continue chatting it up with some of the local South Sound (WA) girls I met at a shoebox swap. Keeping the original thread alive causes me to get PM's from people who think the event is still being planned. While I'm sure we'll have others I wanted a place to keep the chatter alive ;)
For those who were planning on going to the Stamp Show at the fair grounds on the 17th I won't be able to join you. I'm holding a class at my house that day.
Alos I looked at the BF calendar of events and it looks like their next crop is this weekend. I'm going to pass on that since I need some time with my DH. Were you all thinking of doing that crop or the next one in June? I can't belive I'm saying June, it seems so far away!

May goes really fast around here with Memorial Day, my DH & DS birthdays, Mother's Day..... Too much in one month!!
Yes, May does go fast for me too. I think I'd like to see when they have their June crop and go for that one. I love Ben Franklin. I mean where else can you find all those goodies in one store? They;ve got everything I love. I just can't belive I've waited to go there until just a few weeks ago.

I was looking at my calendar since we won't be getting together in May, and I can host a shoebox/supply swap on June 7th. I don't know how that coincides with the BF crop, I am assuming most people will only be able to commit to one or the other, so I just wanted to throw that out there to see if anyone is interested.
Simmone and Linsey-what day/time were you thinking of going to the stamp expo?

Have you girls been playing with your alcohal inks? I've started another clear album. I did the one that came in the blue sheets but had the thick acrylic covers and 5 inside sheets for only 11.99. I'm making a really funky one for my girls trip to NYC. I have been loving those inks on my old window sheets and then adding them to cards too.

Love the new inks. They work really well with the acrylics and don't need that heat before I start to color!
I am such a follower too....I ordered the May Kit! :-) Looks like some fun stuff! I emailed about subscribing....I think she is going to get me in starting June.

Oh, the ink AJ & I bought works well with copics, it doesn't bleed. The nestabilities are the die cuts from spellbinders. Cut@home has a 40% off coupon every month that can be used toward the HIGHEST amount so if you are interested in getting them they are definitely the place to do it at.

I have room for approx 8, and I will post a list of names as I get responses.
(I wanted to keep this a bit smaller so we can all sit at one table.)
Time~ 6:30 pm
Place~ My home, I will send a PM with my address
Grub~ I'm thinking appetizers. I will take care of big-girl beverages (martinis?)and soda, if a few people will volunteer to bring something snacky we should be good.
Swaps~ Any stamp company is fine, as long as the images are current. (If I fall in love with something, I want to be able to buy it!) Please use high-quality paper such as SU, Bazzill, or Prism, and include two embellishments. Embellishments can be ribbon, buttons, brads, flowers, you get the idea.
This part is totally optional. I was thinking about all the stuff I've purchased that just sits in my craft room. That gave me the idea to do a supply swap. Those that are interested can bring (new) items that they would like to trade for something they will actually use. Like shopping for free! Some examples would be paper, flowers, chipboard, alcohal inks I got from B.F. a few weeks ago,etc. I think used stamp sets would be okay, as long as they are in good condition. Let me know if you are interested!
I've probably forgotten something, cuz I'm making this up as I go. I'll be sure to check back frequently in case anyone has a question.

BF crop is at Ben Franklin in Bonney Lake.
We all went the last open crop and took a class with Ali Edwards, and decided we wanted to try and do something regularly if possible~lots of fun!
Ugh, so I got an invite to my cousin's wifes baby shower that night. Who throws baby showers on a Saturday night? I'm going to try to get out of going if I don't feel too guilty because I'd MUCH rather stay around here (it's in Lynnwood) and stamp over going to a baby shower.

Trust me, I want to stamp with all of you way more than attending that baby shower! I've got to come up with something fast. The probelm is my aunt who is hosting it is an avid reader of my blog so if I show or talk about this she'll know why I wasn't there and I'm seeing her tomorrow for a class I'm hosting.
My only saving grace with her is she know u've struggled with infertility and baby showers are hard for me. But I know she wants me there. Oh man I'm troubled over this. Its going to kill me sitting at a baby shower knowing how much fun I could be having!
