Happy New Year to all of you stampers in the Southwestern Ohio area! I know how much fun I have had at the past shoebox swaps I have been too and wanted to host one to get us ready and motivated for Spring. Stampin' Up! Mini Catalog is full of new products and ideas, so we thought it was the perfect time to host shoebox swap! If you have been to any of the past shoebox swaps Janine has done an awesome job and I want mine to turn out like hers, so I went home after talking with her making sure she was ok with me hosting it in the Spring and I made notes of what she did. So fingers crossed this shoebox will be just as much fun as hers. You will not want to miss this fun event. Sign up now before the slots are gone!

Here are the details:

Date: Saturday, March 13 2010
Time: 9am to 3pm
Location: Trotwood Baptist Church--777 Trotwood Blvd, Trotwood OH 45426

Cost: $20 (Door prizes for everyone!)
Deadline: Monday March 1, 2010

You will be designing a full card using Stampin' Up! current product only, cutting enough for each participant to replicate your work, and will bring home a great assortment of beautiful hand-stamped cards. No envelopes necessary. It will be fun to see what you all create since there's a new catalog with beautiful new stamps to choose from! (The set you choose does not have to be new, as long as it is in the current catalog.)

Please bring a dish to share as we will enjoy a potluck lunch. Refrigeration and power outlets are available. Breakfast and beverages will be provided.

** optional 3D swap ** This swap is for anything 3 dimensional and requires that you bring already completed swaps for the total number of participants. Please contact us should you have any questions about this optional swap.

** optional 6x6 scrapbook layout swap ** This swap is 6x6 double page layout, SU! only paper, embellishments etc. must have at least 2 layers of cardstock/paper and 1 embellisment. This is another already completed swap for the total number of participants

Registration forms and the swap guidelines are attached to this thread. Please download these attachments and read through the information. Your registration form and fee are due to me no later than March 1, 2010. We hope to see you all there!


A garage sale/swap table will be available at the Shoebox Swap! Feel free to bring retired Stampin' Up! items, cards, 3D items, etc. and label them with your name and price. Everyone is welcome to bring their own items for sale or trade. Start digging through your stash now!

I'm so bummed to have to miss this event! I have my c-section scheduled for Feb 16th, so I'll be at home recovering with baby #4. Have a great time! Can't wait to see the cards made at this event. Thanks for hosting, Nikki!

Jane I did get it THANK YOU so much. I am sorry for the delay. I have been dealing with a sick mom all week and she finally went to the hospital last night and admitted her. She is ok, she has breathing issues and I live with her to help care for her. I think I got it on Tuesday or Wednesday. I will get Paula off the list too.

Where has this week gone. It is Thursday and only 2 days until we swap!!!!!!!! I am still so excited about this event but getting nervous that I have everything perfect.

Directions to the church. Ok I thought I could do it an easy way and that didn't work. Let me write them out better and I will post them tomorrow. (I don't have paperwork here at work and I don't want to send someone out of the way) If it is easier for you to talk to me about directions please call me I know I am better at giving directions over the phone so I can give landmarks. My cell is 937-603-7439. I have stamping class tonight so if I don't answer leave a message and I will return your call.

What do bring. Scissors, plenty of adhesive, envelopes if you want to stamp them for your own use, bone folder and your items to sell.

Don't forget to bring your side dish or desert. I have purchased pulled pork, pulled chicken and beef brisket to have sandwiches, I have also purchased bottled water and 2 liters of soda's. I have plates, napkins, cups and plasticware.

I am sooooo sorry I need to switch locations. The church that we were going to use something has come up and we had to switch locations. One of the girls coming was gracious enough to get ahold of her church and we were able to use it.

New location is 777 Trotwood Blvd, Trotwood Ohio 45426

There is several ways to get there. If you are coming 35 west towards Eaton. (Once you get to Third St the signs will tell you to turn to go to Eaton DON'T) Stay straight and the road turns into SR 49 at the second stop light turn Left on Little Richmond. Once you turn you will see a fire station on the right so you know you are on track. Take Little Richmond to the second light and turn Right that is Olive Rd take Olive Rd to the first light and that is Trotwood Blvd turn Left and CHURCH is about a half mile on right.

If coming from WPAFB take Woodman (like you are going to Huber, I know it changes names a few times) Woodman turns into Needmore then it turns into Shoup Mill then it turns into Turner. You are going to take the same road until it dead ends in to SR 49 at that light you are going to turn Left onto SR 49. Take SR49 2 lights and turn Right onto Wolf Creek Pike take that to the next light and turn Left onto Olive Rd. Go 1 light and turn Right onto Trotwood Blvd. Church is one half mile on right.

If coming 75 North take 75 to 35 and follow directions above

If coming 75 South take 75 to Needmore and follow directions above

Just wanted to take a second and say how glad my sister Jacklyn and I were that we participated in this swap. Nikki, you did such a great job organizing, I know how stressful that can be, and we appreciate your efforts! The cards were beautiful and the food was tasty and we can't wait to do it again!
