Shoebox Project Information:
This is the only mandatory part of the day which will take place first on our schedule
**Please have your shoebox completely prepared and ready to go when you arrive for the gathering. Unfortunately, I have had complaints in past years of people not having their shoebox projects ready for their tablemates to work on, making this reminder necessary. If you don't arrive with a completed and ready to go shoebox project, your tablemates are not obligated to allow you to do the project they have prepared. Being prepared means having all of the elements of your pre planned project prepared and ready for your tablemates. Tossing a bunch of random supplies on the table and instructing people to "create whatever they would like" is not acceptable. Please be considerate of others and extend the courtesy of having your shoebox project ready when you arrive. Thanks!!**
*Your shoebox project can be anything stamped*
• If you are making a card, we will make FULL cards using at least one embellishment (ribbon, brads, buttons, etc).
• Quality CS is a MUST!
• Please have all card pieces pre-cut.
• Please bring stamps or other items for your project
• Please include instructions (aka: recipes), tips and any other important information.
• Please bring four extra completed shoe box projects. You will use one as your sample at your table, two for hostess gifts and one for a door prize.
• You may make other projects keeping in mind it should not take more than 10-12 minutes to complete.
• We estimate having approx. 8 people at each table and will give final numbers when we have a final count.
Swaps
Please follow the requirements below and if you are joining the SU only, please use only current SU products. We consider current SU product as product in any SU catalog that is current up until the date of the gathering. Please note that if you sign up for a swap and do not fulfill your commitment, you will not receive any swaps from the others in your group.
We will have 6 swaps:
1. Card front – SU only
2. Card Front – NVR
3. 6x6 recipe swap
4. ATC – Artist Trading Card
5. 3D Item swap
6. Rolodex card swap (card size will be 4 x 2 5/8 – the same size as the SU!/Sizzix Big Shot die)
Swaps are not mandatory – you may participate in as few or as many as you would like. Please remember to showcase your best work using quality products. You must use at least two layers and one embellishment on each swap – thanks!!
Handmade Gift Exchange
We will exchange handmade gifts. Please be sure that your gift is handmade and something to do with paper crafting. Please do not bring a non paper crafted gift. For those wishing to participate, please bring a handmade gift with a value of approx. $5.00. Please be sure your gift is wrapped with your name so the person who receives it knows who to thank!!
Donations - ***UPDATED**
This year we are hosting a school supply drive for the Adali Stevenson School #29 of the Rochester City School District. This school has a very high poverty rate as 92.7% of their students receive free or reduced price lunch. I spoke with the school secretary and she informed me that his school also enrolls 45-50 special needs student each year which is higher then the average elementary school in the district and that donations are always needed. We will have our usual donation table set up, so please consider bringing some supplies for this needy elementary school. We are also collecting cards (with envelopes, please) for the staff of about 100 people to use. I have no doubt these folks work very hard and would appreciate having a good assortment of cards to be able to use! As always, we have raffle prizes for donations that you make, both school supplies and cards for the staff!!

Please bring a BASIC SUPPLY KIT to include:
*scissors
*adhesive, both wet and dry
*pop dots or foam dots
*cutting tool with scoring blade
*heavy duty adhesive like scor tape or red
sticky strip
*small glue dots
*score board

We will do a Secret Sister again this year if there is interest. There will be information forms at the registration table for those wishing to participate.
We decided as a group last year that the minimum secret sister requirements are as follows:
-a card on her birthday
-one card for each season (winter, spring, summer, fall)
-a papercrafted gift with a $5 value at the reveal at next years gathering
We want to keep it simple, so please feel free to do as much as you want, but above would be the minimum.
If you have a Secret Sister from last years gathering, please don't forget to bring her a paper crafted gift as stated above for our reveal!!

If any of you would like to bring garage sale items, please feel free, but at your own risk. If there is enough of an interest and somebody would like to coordinate a schedule to monitor the items for sale, please let me know.

Hoping to make this one. Tim is very close to being promoted to Lieutenant (passed the test about a year and a half ago!) and he may end up being transferred for awhile. I may be a last minute yes.
How can I get a list of the supplies need for the event on 9/19?
I just completed the supply list above - I don't know how I missed that when I originally posted!
We will likely add some more supply items that you can bring if you have them, but they would not be required. They would likely be punches that you could bring for your use only at our group project table so you don't have to wait for the table ones.

Hi guys, here are the rules for the Unwanted/Unloved exchange.
1.. get a Medium box from the post office, any of the med boxes work, or if you have a box the same size that will work. You can bring a bigger box if you wish, just not smaller.
2..Fill it with items you no longer want or use, or maybe you have two of them, I know some of you have a problem with over buying, you know who you are. Please no filler in the box, it has to be full of paper crafting items.
3..Please do not put broken items in it, if it does not work for you, then it won't work for anyone else
4...DO NOT put your name on the boxes, just put a little mark so when your turn comes to pick you don't get your own back.
Please know, this is not a equal money exchange, meaning, if you put an expensive item in your box, you may not get a box worth the same money.
You do not have to sign up for this, just bring them along to the gathering, you will be given a ticket from me, one for every box you bring.

Hi Laurie, check and payment are going out tomorrow. I was so brain dead in May and June doing my job and my bosses, I don't think I have sent this in. I'm glad Joanne has a list of paid people because I probably would have sent it twice. Well, my brain has been back for the last 2 weeks, been on vacation and going back to work on Monday with a boss, yippee. Thanks for hosting and listening to my babble.
