I second Joan and Theresa! It was a very fun day! Joan, you deserve to get the framed stamped picture! I know it was stressful to have us there but you are right in saying that it takes your mind off your OTHER stresses for a while and that can be a good thing. Hang in there!

Thanks to Kristina! I know you did a lot of work to get this together and it was a huge success! Kudos!

I really enjoyed getting to meet all of you. Kim and whoever else wanted the snack mix recipe, PM me and I will give it to you.

I'm surprised at how tired I am! I'm off to bed.........

Hip, hip hooray - What a wonderful day! Thank you to everyone for all your excellent work on the fantastic cards, food and doorprizes! I loved meeting all of you and stamping with you. Thank you so much to Joan and Kristina for ALL the work they did to pull it together. Let's do it again soon!

What an absolute BLAST!!!

Joan: THANK YOU!!! You are the Hostess with the Mostess!! After all you've been going through you still let us come into your life and your home and I just want you to know how much I appreciate it! No one deserved that name frame more than you!!!

Kris: THANK YOU!!! For handling the pre-swap stuff and the funds...my hat's off to you! I'm sorry we didn't get to chat more...

Karen: You have such a lovely spirit! I felt like I've known you forever!! THANK YOU!!! Thanks for being our "personal escort" to Sterling! We spent over 2 hours in Recollections! Yikes!! Unfortunately, we didn't think to call in to Sweetwater's beforehand, and by the time we were out there was a 2 1/2 hour wait so we didn't get to go...we WILL be back though, and maybe you can go with us then!

To all the other wonderful ladies: It was so much fun meeting you and making your awesome cards!!!

Let's get together again soon...perhaps in Williamsburg in late September or early November...

Joan, thank you so much for having all of us over at your home and helping organize this gathering! That was really a big deal, considering everything else going on in your life right now. Kristina, thank you for all of the work you did also to help organize this! What a fabulous day it was! And what gorgeous cards everyone brought!! It was so much fun to meet all of you!!
I am sorry I won't be able to attend future gatherings in this area, as we are moving in 4 weeks to Arkansas. Thank you again to everyone!

You are all so welcome, it was a great pleasure to meet everyone and stamp. I hope there is the opportunity to do more in the future, I'll keep an eye out for the Williamsburg one.

Sherri,
I can't believe you shopped there for two hours - oh, yes I can! lol It's a great shop! I'm happy to have helped you find it.
I am SOOOOOOO SOOOORRRYYYY you didn't get to eat at Sweet Water's though. Oh my. But any time you want me to meet you there -OH BABY! I"m there! lol
It was great meeting you too! I love this SCS that allows us to get to know such wonderful people. And Sherri, thank you for the beautiful door prize. I love that bag and cards. The matching lining on the bag is just too amazing! What a great gift. I'm so lucky to have that wonderful creation from Sherristampsalot! So cool.

Default So sorry I missed all the fun

:( I was one who was not able to go at the last minute. Ginger had been throwing up all Friday night and by Saturday morning she was very weak and lathargic. I had to take her to the vet. After several blood tests and rehidration she was able to come home. But it was after 1:00. I was not able to leave her after all that.
Joan and Kristen. Thanks so much for putting this all together. I am so sorry to have missed out on all the fun.

What a great day. I had so much fun. It was great meeting everyone, and being able to stamp. I have had a bit of a stampers block lately, so this was just what I needed.
I would love to go to Williamsburg this fall.
Thanks everyone for a great day.

I'm sooooooooo sorry I wasn't able to make it and I'm very sorry I didn't get online to let anyone know. My husband remodeled our daughters room last week and used our room to store a bunch of her stuff and my computer was out of reach. Friday night my daughter started with a fever, then burning when she would go to the bathroom. Her UTI is back (she just got over one not to long ago....the thread is in the need a lift forum). Her dr's office was already closed but, her dr. phoned in an antibotic to start until her appointment at 1:00pm today. Her fever peaked at 104.00 numerous times and had to get in the tub to lower it. She is on the couch watching t.v. and has been since friday. I've been sooooooo busy taking care of her and again I'm sorry I couldn't make it or let anyone know. We went to the beach last week and Wenesday was a horrible day. We were stuck in the hotel room with a very nasty storm off the hurricane. We had 5 leaks in our room so, the hotel let us change. I'm glad everyone had a great time and I'm hoping I'll be able to make the next one.

Thanks for being smart enough to actually get the names . . . . I was planning on posting the cards but didn't think about collecting the designer names along the way. You are awesome!

Aren't they just awesome? I still have some tucked up in my pantry in my "in case of too much stress" corner.

Hey, thanks to Karen for uploading all the cards! Sure wish I knew how to do that! Now, is there a way Sherrie can edit those to list each artist with her card?

There's one in Baltimore on November 4 with the Christmas/winter theme. If you picked another Saturday, some of us would come down for yours. I couldn't come to the one in June, because I was at a SCS swap in Delaware. Let us know what you decide.

There is a thread up higher on a DC area one (Beltsville MD) in October. I don't think I can make it, but thought some of you might want to go!

Hi there. I just started at SCS and I was reading through some older postings (trying to find a shoebox swap or some other way to meet other stampers) and I came across this one. Obviously i missed the boat on this gathering, which is a bummer because its so close to me. Anyway, i noticed that you work at Tysons so we are really close. I'm kind of between Rt 7 and Rt 29. I'll keep my eyes open for another event around here. Hopefully i won't ahve to wait to long.

Also, i noticed that you haven't been to a scrapbook store around here. Have you tried the one in Chantilly? Its a pretty big store! Its not to terribly far from the Fair Oaks Mall. If you need help finding it, just let me know.

Default October 14th swap

Bummer!! I can't make it on Oct. 14th. Darlin Hubby already has plans that day and won't be here to watch the kids. What a bummer!! After doing a little more reading, I'm going to try and figure out how to subscribe to this thread so i can hear about the new gatherings. Thanks for the heads up though.
