I would love to attend a local swap like this. And if it is anywhere close to Smithville, I'll have to stop at the Barn and Toyrifix! I will let you know for sure soon if I will be able to make it.
Do we only bring one project to swap?
If you want to bring more than one project that's fine, but I think it would just be up to each individual attending if they want to bring an extra of their own swap for you to do.
Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.
I don't get on here very often, but it seems I've had more time the last couple of days... anyway I just saw this thread and got really excited because I'm in Ashland. Then I checked my calendar and realized I have a workshop that day at 1:00, so I'm not available.

Oh darn -- just read the revised date and I can't come. I'm going to the Milwaukee Regionals that weekend. Please post pictures though. You gals are going to have so much fun I'm sure.
PS ~ Don't wanna thread jack but I shop at the Wadsworth Wal-mart ALL THE TIME!! Can't wait for the new Target to open.
Could someone tell me, if you're reading this... I'm not getting as good a response to this as I would like. OK, it is still a month away but is it possible that by asking people to come to the swap, and bring something more than just a simple card, that I'm alienating some who are then choosing not to participate? I'd really appreciate your honesty, because if that's the case, I'd really rather have a ton of people just having a good time than anything else. I'm just really anal sometimes, and again would really appreciate if someone would let me know if this is what the problem is!
PLEASE come no matter what, and disregard my anal-ness!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi.
This is my first night on. I live in West Salem and would love to come. Can anyone come? I would love to meet fellow stampers.
Yes, anyone can come!!! That would be fantastic if you do...and WELCOME TO SPLIT COAST!!! You'll be addicted in a very short time! I would appreciate RSVP's for the swap by Saturday, Feb. 4th so that all attending will know how many to prepare for. So when you know for sure, let me know with a PM so I can add you to the list. Thanks!!!

Tammy,
I'm wondering if it might help the edit the original Post with all the current details. Like the date, time, and location. That way if they click on the link from your siggy or mine the can see everything without having to scroll through the whole thread. Just an idea. I copied you siggy again and plan to leave lots of FB in the gallery this weekend, so hopefully it'll give more people a chance to see it.
Boy I think you are getting pretty picky her Missy! Now I am going to have to rack my brain for something more than a card. Hmmmmm. I am sure I can come up with something super duper stinkin' cool.

Did you forget Marla or is she not coming? If she is not then neither am I.
She hasn't given me a definite answer, because she thought (up until last Saturday!) that it was on the 11th! I had it in my signature line for weeks before VSN that it was the 18th but I guess she didn't notice. Quit giving me a hard time, you big Queenie/VSN Princess/Snot!!!
I just came upon your post for the NE Ohio shoebox swap and am interested. I am fairly "new" to SCS; have not posted anything, but have "lurked" for a while! ;-) How long do you anticipate the swap would last? I do have something already planned for February 18, however, I have not received a definitive time for the event yet and depending, may be able to squeeze both events into the day. I can find out and let you know for sure within the next couple days as to my availability. And if not this time, definately keep me in mind for a future swap.

Hi Carol! Glad to have the honor of being your first post on SCS!!! The swap will last probably 2-3 hours at the most. There is a Saturday church service at 6:30 so I want to be cleaned up and out of there by then. Just let me know definetely by Feb. 4th! Thanks!
This sounds like so much fun. I would consider coming if it wasn't for the unpredictable Northeast OH weather! I would hate to sign up and have a blizzard hit. We have been soooo lucky so far. Hopefully you can do this again in the spring. Have fun! Hope the weather holds out for everyone.
Please everyone, don't let possible bad weather stop you! If the weather is bad and we have to call it off or you have to cancel, no problem!! It's expected in this neck of the woods!!
Tammy,
I am signed up for this swap. Will you still have it with only 7 people?? Just wondering. Medina High School is having their "sweetheart" dance that night and my daughter and her boyfriend are going. Wanted to be home to help her get ready and not sure if she and her friends may come here and I will feed them dinner before the dance!! (too expensive for them to go out) Thanks! Looking forward to the swap so hope more sign up.

If no more than this sign up, I may just have it at my house and we can all just sit around and gab and stamp and eat. And if you can't make it, no big deal! Your daughter is more important!! I'm just really thinking I should try to do something like this again, but during better driving months instead. I just enjoyed the one I went to in Michigan in November, and was anxious to have one myself, and didn't want to wait until spring. We'll have to try for something next fall!!
If you decide to have it at your house, let me know, I am still interested. Marshallville isn't that far from Medina, just down Rt. 21. (Ohio weather is soooo unpredictable.) I like to gab, stamp and eat, just ask my husband!! I will keep checking this thread for further updates! MaryJo
