Good Evening Ladies, I'm getting so excited about this swap that I already came up with my layout. I had so much fun the last time that I couldn't wait. I had just moved to the Southern Maryland area when I saw the posting in February. So, it gave me the opportunity to meet some of the wonderful people here from SCS. I have since made many more friends. Thanks again for everyone that participated and was so nice to me. Cathy, you did an awesome job the last time and I'm looking so forward to it again. Everyone will have such a great time. Keep up the great work Cathy.
Hi everyone! Penny's got her card layout designed already - anyone else that organized? I know I'm not! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone; with school starting next week, our swap date will be here before we know it.
Thanks to all who have paid - you can see my list in Post #1. If you still need to pay, and could try to do so by September 1st, that'd be great. I've got a few names to start a waiting list now, so I'd like to be sure that everyone who originally signed up can still come. Here's who I've got on the waiting list:
1. Donna H's granddaughter
2. Debbie E.
3. Lisa G.
4. Rose P.
A note about snacks - it's looking like we're going to be good for drinks and desserts, based on the sign-ups. For those who are still undecided, can I suggest maybe some cheese and crackers, chips and dip, chocolate...? If one of the drink people could claim a case of water, please let me know. That way, we know we'll have soda and water. More as I think of it, and directions for sure, before we meet on the 22nd. Cathy
Hi Cathy, my check will be going in the mail first thing tomorrow morning! I'm one of the drink people so you can put me down for a case of water. Looking forward to getting together with everyone!
Hi everyone,
Only 3 weeks to go until our shoebox swap - it'll be fall by then! Directions to the church are below; let me know if you have any questions or need directions from a different starting point. Can't wait to see everyone, and see your terrific cards! I'll be in touch before then - thanks. Cathy
Here's some info about the church. We'll be meeting at All Saints' Episcopal Church in Reisterstown, from 9am-2pm. The exact address, in case you want to use Mapquest or Yahoo! Maps, is 203 E. Chatsworth Avenue, Reisterstown, 21136. Easiest directions from the Beltway (695) would be to take Exit #19, Rte 795. (It only goes outside the beltway and not inside, so there's only one choice to make at the exit.) Proceed about 7 miles to Exit
7A, Franklin Blvd. On your way there, you'll pass the Owings Mills Mall and Metro Station on your left. Proceed on Franklin Blvd to Reisterstown Road, which will be the first major intersection you'll come to. There will be an EXXON station on the left corner. Turn left onto Reisterstown Road, and proceed approximately 2 miles. When you pass the Chartley Shopping Center, with a brand new BRICK Bodies facility in it, on your right, Reisterstown Road will go down to one lane (vice two), and you'll be heading around a curve and into the older, antique-shop section of Reisterstown. Just past "The COW" on your right, and Franklin Middle School on your left (at a light at Cockeys Mill Road), you'll come to another light, which is E. Chatsworth Avenue. Turn right at the light, and proceed about 1/4 mile. All Saints' Church is a small church on the left. Park in the lot behind the social hall (Groff Hall), and then come on in for a day of stamping and fun!
Cathy, Ashely will bring the chips & dip and Patti is bringing chocolate.
Thanks for all your hard work organizing this. Donna Hilse
P.S. Mailed the check for Ashely
Cathy,
As it turns out I will be able to come to the swap now. DH is taking the baby to his swim lessons. If the spot is still available I would like to fill it.
Let me know what I should bring.
Thanks.

Hi all - Sorry for the late response to the last two posts. I've been away at a B&B, scrapbooking and stamping all weekend!
Cris - Glad to hear that you can make it after all. I had a cancellation last week, so if you'd like the slot, please confirm soonest, and slip a check in the mail to me. Thanks!
Cindy - Thanks for your offer for breakfast fare. I hadn't planned to do a breakfast, per se, but was going to have the fixings for coffee and tea. If you'd like to bring something breakfast-y to eat, that would be a nice treat. Let me know what you decide, and maybe I'll add some mini bagels and cream cheese from BJs. Thanks so much!
Everyone - I'll take one more look at the food & drink sign up list, and see if we've got any holes. Will post a bit later - probably tonight through my sneezing after I cut my lawn this afternoon! Talk to you soon - Cathy
Hi Cathy,
Yes, I would like the spot. I will put a check in the mail tomorrow.
Also I could bring some items for breakfast if you would like. Can't wait to see everyone.

I don't think I indicated what i was bringing for food, so if you need something specific from the store, just let me know. Otherwise, I'll bring a snack type food.
I haven't specified either, but I was going to bring a snack to munch on during the day. Cathy, if you need me to bring something different I will. Just let me know. Thanks!
Cindy - If your mom is planning to bring iced tea, I'll ask Anna & Ann to bring sodas. Thanks for letting me know. And I'll second the YES! to Pat's offer for donuts and cider from Webers Cathy
Ladies - One more thing...we're full at twenty, so please bring your sample plus kits & supplies for 19. As a reminder, directions to the swap can be found in post #49. See you soon! Cathy
So who's still cutting cardstock...anybody?? Thankfully, I'm all done! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in the morning. My cell phone number is 410-458-7788, in case you need to reach me after about 7am. Come ready to stamp!! Cathy
Finished cutting card stock??? I was just headed downstairs to START cutting. My darlin hubby got me a carl cutter so I think it will go kinda quickly.
Cris, I'll see you in the a.m. for the drive north!
I've been done. Just looking forward to stamping and having fun with my stamping friends. I will see you tomorrow. I will be leaving around 6:30 - 7 am to be there by 9:00. See ya then.

Thank you so much Cathy for a wonderful day of stamping! Everyone's card/project was fantastic! What a talented bunch of ladies! The food was great and the company was super!
Thanks for all of the nice posts, ladies I'm glad each of you came today, and I agree with the rest - the cards and the stampers are awesome. Thanks too for all the goodies, and the help cleaning up. I look forward to seeing many of you at Cindy's swap in November. Cathy
Cathy, Thank you for such a wonderful swap. The church itself was beautiful.
Thanks for making Ashely's first swap a success. She was so excited last night, she showed her cards to everyone in the family and came home and made more of the Halloween ones. The pizza was a hit and I have never seen so many great snacks. The goodie bags were great from Patti, I'm still eating candy. All the ladies deserve a round of applause on such cute cards.
I really enjoyed meeting you and having so much fun. Donna Hilse
